Q:   What is the effectiveness of the placement cell for BHM programs at Army Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology?

    A:
    {Source: BHM students & alumni}

Effectiveness of Placement Cell for BHM Programs at Army Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology

Unfortunately, based on the provided student reviews and descriptions, no explicit mention of the placement cell's effectiveness is found. The statements focus more on the college's infrastructure, faculties, and amenities, without specifically discussing the placement cell or its performance.

However, we can infer that the college prepares students for industry-readiness, as mentioned by some students:

    * "The course directly makes the student ready for them [hotel] industry-ready."
    * "Exposure to the hotel industry" is another aspect highlighted by students, suggesting that the college provides opportunities for students to engage with the industry.

While these comments indirectly indicate that the college might have a decent placement record, concrete details regarding the effectiveness of the placement cell are lacking. Therefore, we cannot draw definitive conclusions about the placement cell's success rate, job placements, or salary packages offered to graduates.

If additional information becomes available, I would be happy to revisit this answer and provide more detailed insights.

Faculty will not groom you better than the seniors.
Placements: Batch 2022. Course 27th. New people with different characteristics. Learned to deal with a set of different mindset people. Placements are good. It has a 100% placement record every year. The average is low for the initial (30k/month), but having the skill set required will get you there for sure.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good, but the hostels are cleaned only once or twice a week. No electricity problem and messing is included in the hostel fee. The mess food doesn't taste bad at least. Classrooms are well maintained, and each classroom has a projector or smart screens.
Faculty: Faculty are good except for some. You know there are always some. The course curriculum is somewhat disturbed after COVID, but it'll be fine the next year for sure. Exams are conducted every semester, which is two times a year. It takes place in a different college.

Review of Army Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology.
Placements: Our college offers 100% placements. The faculty members call companies for off-campus placements. The highest salary package offered is 6 LPA, whereas the lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA-4 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Taj, Oberoi, ITC, Marriott, etc. Around 100% of students secured internships in India as well as abroad in top companies like Ritz-Carlton and Marriott. Roles offered are front office manager, chef, and sommelier.
Infrastructure: All infrastructure and facilities are provided, including Wi-Fi, a library, and well-functioning classrooms. As a girl staying in the girls' hostel, I can say the infrastructure is pretty good, and all necessary facilities are available, from Wi-Fi to washing machines. The quality of food is good but sometimes it's not. Nurse is available in hostel 24*7. There are badminton, basketball, and volleyball courts available.
Faculty: Faculty members are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is good, majorly they are focused on practical. It is relevant and makes students industry-ready. The difficulty level of the semester exams is moderate. Pass percentage is 30%.
Other: I chose this course after I got to know about it through a family friend. The best thing is we get to know about different hotels and it's exposure. College should provide more practical classes. Different events and fest are organized by our college.

I am dissatisfied because of administration. But it has good placements and poor infrastructure.
Placements: Almost 100% placements are provided. Top companies include Taj, Oberoi, Marriott, Hilton, Starbucks, Third Wave Coffee, Lemon Tree, Nike, Puma, and Adidas. Foreign internships are available in countries like the USA, France, Spain, and New Zealand. Roles offered include Management Trainee, Assistant Manager, Executive, Chef de Partie, and Sales and Marketing.
Infrastructure: Hostels are average with each room having two beds, two cupboards, and a study table. Wi-Fi is available sometimes. Food is below average and mess is not well maintained. Regular sports facilities are available, including volleyball, cricket, football, basketball, and badminton. There are inter-college sports competitions, but initially, students need to pay for the registration. Sports events inside the college have not been organised in two years. Hostel facilities are average. Frequent electricity shutdowns occur. Food is not good, and equipment is not washed properly, leading to poor hygiene.
Other: Events organised by college are not well organised. Students sometimes need to pay from their own pockets to organise any event.

I am satisfied to take admission here. This college is only for Army kids.
Placements: There is a guarantee of 100% placements in Army Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology. The salary package is pretty good and it is according to our capabilities. Top recruiters that come for campus placement are all 5-star hotels and best retail outlets.
Infrastructure: All facilities are provided by college. Wi-Fi, labs, library, and classrooms are super cool and clean. In total, there are 7 labs in which food and beverages production, food and beverages service, computer lab, language lab, etc. are taught.
Faculty: All faculty members in Army Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology are super good and helpful. There is a lot more to learn from them. Faculty members are very helpful and experienced. Rather than that, this is a residential college, so there is an eco-friendly environment too.
Other: I chose this course because I want to join hospitality industry. I found this college very well and there is complete trust in this college because it comes under Army.

Overall, it has a good campus with good surroundings.
Placements: Almost 90% of students are placed. The highest salary package offered is 5 LPA, and the lowest is 0.5 LPA. All the top-leading companies, like Leela, Oberoi, Taj, etc., visit the college. About 100% of students got internships. Some students went aboard too for an internship, and all the big companies came. Management trainee is a top role given by the college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. There is a Wi-Fi facility. There are different labs, a kitchen for practicals, and a library with a good collection of books. The hostel is the best part. The mess is separate for boys and girls, and all the requirements are available in the hostel. Double-sharing rooms are provided.
Faculty: Teachers here are well-qualified, have good knowledge of the industry, and have a good experience. The course is good for those who are really interested in learning about this industry. Exams are not that difficult to pass for anyone, but you need to have some knowledge about the topic. The pass percentage is 33%.
Other: I chose this course because it is different and allows you to explore and gain more experience. You will get all the good things to learn more about. Some exploration should be given to the students.

Good placement and infrastructure. Facilities are okay.
Placements: Placements are good with placements from Taj, Accor, Hilton, etc. Students who opt for IT can work in India or foreign countrie because this stream has good placements, from there. If we go for ODC, we get to earn money and learn more about the hotel industry.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good.. Facilities are good, especially girls' hostel. In boys' hostel, they don't have good facilities. They have okay food quality, and washrooms are good. Mess and canteen look good, and we get every kind of nutrient. Pest control is also done regularly.
Faculty: Some faculty members are good, but they are not teaching nicely. We are finding studies hard, but the practicals are interesting. One will get to know more about culinary, service, and front office.
Other: If people want to do HM, they can come here. It is a good college.
