On Cutoffs

Q:   What are the cutoff marks required for MBA at Asian Business School?

A:

Unfortunately, there's no single, static cut-off mark for the MBA programme at Asian Business School (ABS) due to several factors:

1. Program and Specialization: Different MBA specializations offered by ABS have varying admission criteria and cut-off scores. For example, a Finance specialisation might have a higher cut-off than Marketing due to higher demand.

2. Year-to-Year Variations: The number of applicants and overall competition level fluctuate each year, affecting cut-offs. What was enough one year might not be sufficient the next.

3. Entrance Exam: ABS accepts scores from various entrance exams like CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT, ATMA, and ABSAT. Each exam's cut-off can differ based on difficulty level and test-taker performance.

4. Additional Selection Criteria: ABS considers factors beyond entrance exams, including academic background, work experience, interviews, and extracurricular activities. A strong profile can compensate for a slightly lower score.

Q:   What are the factors affecting CUET cut off for Asian Business School (ABS), Noida?

A:

In Asian Business School (ABS), Noida, the factors affecting CUET (Common University Entrance Test) for PGDM course are not mentioned separately in the application results. But some of the factors that can affect the cut off are:

  1. Number of Candidates: The number of candidates for ABS, Noida PGDM course can affect the cut off. A higher number of applicants can lead to a decrease in competitiveness.
  2. Availability of Seats: The number of seats available in ABS Noida PGDM course can also affect strength. If there are more seats, the limit may be lower.
  3. Previous year trends: The cutting period of previous years can give an insight into the end time of the current year. However, this may not be the last factor, as the limit may change every year depending on the number of applicants and the availability of free places.
  4. Institute and Reputation: ABS Noida's reputation as the best business school in India with a high ranking can also influence the strength. A higher reputation can lead to a reduction in competitiveness.
  5. Academic Standards: The academic standards of the institute like faculty quality, infrastructure and curriculum can also affect the cut off.

Life at ABS (Asian Business School).
Placements: Over 80% of seniors are placed, with an average package of around 7 Lacs, a minimum of 5 Lacs, and the highest at 14 Lacs. Top recruiting companies include Deloitte, KPMG, Asian Paints, Berger Paints, and many more. In my course, 95% of students got internships, with roles offered according to their domain.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure are good. The staff are very helpful, especially in assisting with writing research papers. However, I wouldn’t recommend taking a college hostel as they are too expensive for the facilities provided. The canteen and sports facilities are average.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The quality of teaching is good, and the curriculum is relevant to market needs. Semester exams are practical-based, and if you have a good understanding, you can do well.
Other: This course has given me more job options, made me more confident, and helped me become a better person. The college crowd is also excellent.

Absolutely loved the campus life and its studies. The management of the campus is very nice.
Placements: The college has offered placements to 1005 students. The students here are well placed in good corporate companies like Deloitte and HCL. The placed students are satisfied with their jobs. The college focuses on every student. There are various offers that are provided, like HR, finance, marketing, etc.
Infrastructure: The college is very well-equipped with all facilities and has its own hostel nearby, which has bus facilities for both girls and boys. Affordable food is available in the college canteen, and all the classes are fully air-conditioned.
Faculty: The teachers here are well-rounded professionals and focus on every individual. The students are given importance in their studies as well as in their personality development. The teachers here focus on every child, and there are crafters who focus on the personality development of every student.
Other: I have chosen this college for its high placement records and practical knowledge.

Dissatisfied with faculty and placements.
Placements: In this college, we have only 50% placement, but yes, if you have potential, you can do it. Only two or three decent companies come here, but this is common in every B-school in Delhi. Companies like Birla, Deloitte, and KPMG come for operations and HR. There are no companies for marketing or finance, so don't go for that if you're doing marketing or finance, you can think of it.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, classrooms, and libraries are available. The quality and the infrastructure are decent. The canteen is also decent. Psychology is not at all up to the mark and the medical facilities are only basic. The hostel is not at all good. The cost of living is very low.
Faculty: The exams they hold are very easy. There is no need to study very hard to pass. The second thing is knowledge. You won’t get much knowledge about the curriculum. Nobody would ever fail their exam, that I guarantee you. The exam is very easy, but the teaching quality is very low.

Reviews for Asian Business School.
Placements: The placement of the college is good. As compared to other B-schools, well-known companies like EY, Deloitte, Axis Bank, Dabur, and many more are part of their recruitment process. Last year, in 2022, the highest placement was at INR 18 LPA. The college is providing all the necessary faculty members and knowledge that the market requires from the candidates.
Infrastructure: The college has a highly equipped infrastructure, from computer labs to libraries; everything is digitalized. Smart Edu classes are installed for better illustration for students. All the basic amenities, like a medical room and a sports room, are easily available for students.
Faculty: All the faculty members are highly educated and experts in their field of specialization. They are supportive in terms of the professional growth of the students and making them market-ready. The college also organizes events like the YAEC (Young Asian Entrepreneur Challenge) to promote entrepreneurial skills.
Other: The major purpose of choosing PGDM as a course was to enhance professional skills, and as per the market, PGDM focuses more on practical implementation. And Asian Business School not only focuses on corporate skills; they also focus on the development of entrepreneurial journeys.

Life at ABS! What time at Asian Business school would be like!
Placements: A total of 100% of placement has been done so far. Companies like Deloitte, HDFC Bank, Aditya Birla Group, Khimji Ramdas, Axis Bank, HCL, EnY, and many more had active on-campus recruitment for the students, with the highest package of INR 18 LPA recorded.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are well kept, clean, and ventilated; however, a limited scope of services is required, like faster and better-working lifts, a little more spacious canteen, and some more options for eateries. The playground is well maintained, and the college is very well connected. It is close to the metro, which allows easy access for visitors and a hassle-free experience.
Faculty: Amazingly knowledgeable and qualified faculty members with great experience in student management and training focus more on qualitative and relevant learning and practical exposure. These things prepare the candidates to face corporate life. The exams are designed in a way that'll nourish the difficulties that students face, as identified by their academic counselors during the semesters.
Other: PGDM because I wanted to scale my role and work profile. This was probably the most efficient and prominent way of learning things that were absolutely important to facing the challenges of the senior role. I wish to improve my social and professional skills, along with my employee and team management skills. Working more on ground-level things would make us more aware of the challenges. A number of events, like Freshers, Athlema, the Young Asian Entrepreneur of the Year Challenge, and many more, make it a vibrant experience for the students. ABS is determined by the overall and holistic development of the students, which includes not just enhancing them academically but also shaping their lives to face the competitive world.

Life at ABS! A review of Asian Business School.
Placements: Placement is very good. Students get placed in well-reputed companies because of the extensive college placement policy, which constantly trains and educates the students. The college has a 100% placement record. As compared to other B-schools in north India, ABS has a great track record. Companies such as EY, Deloitte, Dabur, and HCL recruit from here.
Infrastructure: The college is well-equipped with modern facilities. All the classes are smart classes with air conditioning. ABS has all the required aspects for a student to nurture in their studies, such as a computer lab and library. The library has all the required books for the course, and the computer lab has ultramodern systems.
Faculty: The faculty are super friendly. All of the faculty are qualified by some of the most renowned institutions in India, such as IIM, etc. They have great experience in this field, which enables the student to learn more from the knowledge and expertise they pursue. They make sure that all the students are ready to face the outside world with the utmost confidence.
Other: The first and foremost reason to choose PGDM is to enhance my skills and groom my management skills and knowledge. To be more prominent and efficient in life. My prime motive is to become financially independent, and I feel PGDM will play a vital role in shaping my future. College allows us to grow both academically and mentally by organizing extracurricular activities such as Athleema, a sports event.
