Azeezia Medical College Review.
Placements: I am currently doing house surgery, so it's not yet time for placements. Students from this college can be recruited to any medical college or hospital. 90 percent of students from my batch got internships. The internship must be completed at the same college where we studied for our undergraduate. JR, SR, Andhra Pradesh, RMO, and CMO.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is excellent with great ambiance and natural beauty. It provides the perfect learning atmosphere for students. There are vast grounds for football, basketball, volleyball, kho-kho, etc. Reading rooms and library facilities are available with a wide range of medical textbooks, journals, etc. Spacious, air-conditioned seminar halls are equipped with projectors, blackboards, whiteboards, and adequate seating capacity. Both boys' and girls' hostels are worth the rent. Rooms accommodate three people with newly constructed common washrooms on each floor with modern interiors. Separate cupboards, chairs, and study tables are provided for each person. Spacious corridors can be used as practice space for cultural and sports events. The mess food is provided by a separate entity called Vista Hospitality Service. Three non-veg items are provided per week. The food is of good quality, tasty, and hygienic. The menu changes every week. Medical facilities are readily available. Sports items can also be practiced with separate coaches for each.
Faculty: The faculty at our institute is excellent and well-experienced. Many of the teachers are retired professors from government medical institutions. Most of the teaching members establish a good rapport with students. The curriculum follows the new CBME (Competency-Based Medical Education) system, which focuses more on practical and clinical aspects of medicine. This is very relevant in the current scenario as it helps us in skill development and in future practice as doctors. The average pass percentage is 90 percent in every batch. Internal exams, model exams, and periodic assessments, which are of moderate difficulty, are conducted.
Other: As a student, I was more inclined towards medical and science-related subjects, which led me to pursue this career. Getting to alleviate someone's pain and suffering seemed interesting. Violence against the medical fraternity is a demerit of this course. Common festivals like Onam and Christmas are celebrated. Students are allowed to participate in inter-college competitions like KUHS Zonal, Inter-Zonal, etc. Apart from this, various sports, arts, and cultural inter-batch and intra-batch programs are also conducted in the college. The campus life is good. Merit-cum-means scholarships can be availed, subject to the fulfillment of certain criteria.

Absolutely the best place to make your college life memorable.
Placements: I'm in my second year of MBBS at Azeezia College of Medical Sciences and Research. If you enjoy studying, then this course is definitely for you. A batch consists of 100 students, and 90% of them pass.
Infrastructure: Azeezia is one of the medical colleges in Kerala with the best infrastructure. The college has over six lecture halls, a library with private reading space, and a combined study area that is well cleaned. The hostel mess provides non-vegetarian meals four days a week, and all food is served with proper hygiene. The college has three canteens, two of which are hospital canteens and one that is academic. The college hospital is multi-specialty and has experienced doctors graduated from government colleges working in various departments. Sports facilities include everything from badminton to basketball, and sports events are held every year at the intra-batch, intra-college, and KUHS levels.
Faculty: The college has the best management with helpful, well-qualified staff and definitely structured knowledge facilities. The teaching quality remains remarkable. The curriculum followed is CBME. For the university, we have 3 non-clinical subjects: microbiology, pathology, and pharmacology. For eligibility, we need 80% attendance for the practical and 75% for the theory. Which also includes attendance of 80% for non-exam-going clinical subjects. From 8:30-12:30 there are clinical postings, and from 1-4 we have theory classes. The eligibility marks required are 160 marks minimum for the internal examination and the same for the practical. The overall course curriculum is tough but relevant in all senses. Semester exams in the college are moderately difficult.
Other: I always loved being a doctor, which is why I chose this course. However, I think there are a few things that could be improved. For one, autopsies should be made compulsory for at least one year of the entire course. Also, there should be batch trips every year to help students take a break from this structured course. In addition, semester breaks should be at least 10-15 days long.

I am dissatisfied with the security of our campus.
Placements: Being an MBBS course, every student gets placed either in government or private hospitals. They can also get placed in some medical services. Internships are provided in our college which overall makes 5.5 years of MBBS.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is not up to the mark. There is no Wi-Fi provided on our campus. Laboratories do not have the required equipment. The library is an excellent environment. The boy's hostel and the girl's hostel are governed by different rules. The level of patriarchy is apparent. Girls get very less opportunities in sports, games, and playgrounds. The quantity and quality of food provided in the hostel mess are low.
Faculty: Our faculty members are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Academic-wise the college is sufficient. But in the practical world, sufficient knowledge is not being imparted due to a lack of patients as the college is in a remote area. The pass percentage is pretty good in this college. More often, theory lessons are emphasised rather than clinical and practical lessons.
Other: I opted for this course as I am interested in this course. We get to see many patients and gain much experience in studying them. Tuition fees will be raised every year based on the decision of the fee regulatory committee. Girls and boys are treated differently on campus. Girls are not allowed to be late after 6 PM and for boys, it is 9 PM. Because of the construction work happening on campus, it is noisy. The construction workers are allowed inside the girls' hostel and sometimes, they are harassed. The hostel is not safe for girls.

Review of Azeezia College of Medical Sciences and Research.
Placements: Campus placements are not available, but after completing 4.5 years course we have 1 year house surgency period. Our college provides Rs. 5000 per month. After completing the course, we can practice as a physician so that we can earn an average of Rs. 40,000 per month or else we can go for post-graduation through an entrance. Internship stipends in our college are very low.
Infrastructure: Library is available on campus with the availability of sufficient medical books for the MBBS students. The college also has cricket and football teams but the encouragement given to them is very little from the college side. Rooms are with sufficient space. They accommodate 2 or 3 persons per room according to the room space. New hostels are provided with attached bathrooms. Food is served is from a nearby mess and the quality of food is average.
Faculty: The faculty members are highly educated and experienced. Most of the professors hold Ph.D degrees and have experience for more than 7 to 8 years. I have been helped by many of the professors on different problems. The MBBS course curriculum is hectic, but that is necessary. The exam structure is not very good, but the scores don't necessarily correlate with how good a medical professional student could be. There are separate exams evaluating performance in theory and practical.
