Q:   Is B.A. at B.D. College worth the investment?

    A:
    {Source: B.A. students & alumni}

Based on student reviews and feedback, here's a summary of what you can expect:

Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is average, with decent classrooms, a spacious library, and labs with basic equipment. However, there is no hostel facility available on-campus.

Faculty: Teachers are generally helpful, knowledgeable, and well-qualified (Ph.D. holders). They offer one-on-one guidance and have a good teaching quality.

Course Curriculum: While the course may not be directly related to industry requirements, it prepares students for further studies and government exams.

Placement: Unfortunately, placements are limited due to the non-professional nature of the course. Around 30-35% of students did find jobs, with the highest package being INR4 Lacs per annum and the average package being INR2 Lacs per annum.

Internship: As the course is not professionally-oriented, internship opportunities are scarce.

Campus Life: The college has a balance between academics and extracurricular activities, offering sports, games, and NCC programs. Canteen services are available, although food quality is reported to be subpar. Medical facilities are not available within the campus premises.

Value for Money: Considering the limitations mentioned above, whether or not B.A. at B.D. College is worth the investment depends on individual goals and expectations. For those interested in pursuing higher studies or preparing for government exams, this college might be suitable. However, for those seeking direct industry connections or lucrative job offers, another institution might be more beneficial.

Remember to weigh these factors carefully before making an informed decision about investing in a degree from B.D. College.

Details of my college in 2023.
Placements: There was no system of college recruitment but the only thing I liked about my college was my professors, who helped us during the COVID times, motivated us for the studies and made sure that each and every student understands the terms of each subject as the subject and topics were completely new to us. Speaking about my college I don't like my college much to be frank. It doesn't provide any placement; no company comes for recruitment or internship. There are no roles offered in our college .
Infrastructure: There is Wi-Fi, but students can't use them. The classrooms are so small that there is no clear facility of washrooms in our college for female students. The washrooms that we have are broken, dirty, and smelly. There is no facility of hostel, medical, sports, or games in our college.
Faculty: That is the only thing I liked about my college: my professors that helped us during COVID times and motivated us for the studies made difficult topics easy to know and understand, as during that time all the classes were online. The exam courses are also great; our teachers used to motivate us a lot for our exams so that we don't feel pressure.
Other: My batch was mostly during COVID time, so the classes were online, but during the time when we used to go to college for studies. The teachers were really good to us and took all the precautions to teach us the concept that we didn't understand.

    This college is affordable.
Placements: I opted for the B.A. economics honors course so I have no placement scope. Placements are not much good for UG courses on campus. But they taught me so well that I easily got admission into a good college for post-graduation. Staff members are very supportive and helpful.
Infrastructure: This college has an average infrastructure but the college needs to work on its cleanliness. The living space should also be kept clean. They provide a good security system so this college is good in terms of safety.
Faculty: Teachers are experienced and helpful. They help in clearing the doubts. This college is ragging-free. This college provides a balance of both knowledge and experience. I learned my subject very well here.

    Review of B.D. College, Patna.
Placements: There are no placements in this college. I would not recommend this college if students want placements.
Infrastructure: Our college does not have hostel facilities. If you want to live here, you need to take your personal room outside this college. The infrastructure of our college is not good.
Faculty: Our college has average education and they do not conduct exams properly. During semester exams, some teachers are strict but some cooperate with us. Our university never completes its course on time.
Other: This college is not worth our money and time.

Infrastructure: Canteen with good quality of food available, medical facilities, sports, and games also available. A garden on the college campus with all important plants available at the center of the college. Separate building for arts, Science, and Commerce subjects. Labs and a library with thousands of books are also present.
