Q:   Is B.A. at B.D. College worth the investment?

A:
{Source: B.A. students & alumni}

Based on student reviews and feedback, here's a summary of what you can expect:

Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is average, with decent classrooms, a spacious library, and labs with basic equipment. However, there is no hostel facility available on-campus.

Faculty: Teachers are generally helpful, knowledgeable, and well-qualified (Ph.D. holders). They offer one-on-one guidance and have a good teaching quality.

Course Curriculum: While the course may not be directly related to industry requirements, it prepares students for further studies and government exams.

Placement: Unfortunately, placements are limited due to the non-professional nature of the course. Around 30-35% of students did find jobs, with the highest package being INR4 Lacs per annum and the average package being INR2 Lacs per annum.

Internship: As the course is not professionally-oriented, internship opportunities are scarce.

Campus Life: The college has a balance between academics and extracurricular activities, offering sports, games, and NCC programs. Canteen services are available, although food quality is reported to be subpar. Medical facilities are not available within the campus premises.

Value for Money: Considering the limitations mentioned above, whether or not B.A. at B.D. College is worth the investment depends on individual goals and expectations. For those interested in pursuing higher studies or preparing for government exams, this college might be suitable. However, for those seeking direct industry connections or lucrative job offers, another institution might be more beneficial.

Satisfaction by the College.
Placements: If you want placement, you have to be skillful; then only it is possible. You have to be the topper of the college. You should have outstanding knowledge of that course, and it also depends on the course. Companies visit the campus for placement and give an average salary.
Infrastructure: It's good. They have a central library and Wi-Fi on campus. They are very corporate in student work. All the faculty is good. The canteen is well maintained. They have a sports ground. Hostel is not provided by the college, but there are many options near the college area.
Faculty: They take regular exams at the right time. The course will be completed in the given course time. Faculty are good, knowledgeable, and helpful. Practical classes are held in the college. You will get more opportunities in the college. You can have many other courses at the same time, like a Diploma course.
Other: Events and fests are held in the year, and organized programs on festivals. Fresher events are held on campus, and farewells too. Extracurricular activities like sports day are also held.

Good college for pursuing degree with best faculty.
Placements: Approximately 30% of students from my faculty were placed. The highest package offered was 4.8 LPA and the lowest was 2.6 LPA. 40% of students from my course got internships in different companies, including Hindustan Unilever.
Infrastructure: The college has good facilities for the library, labs, and modern classrooms with digital boards and projectors. The infrastructure of the college is very good, and the campus is always clean. There is good Wi-Fi coverage, and the toilets and washrooms are very neat and clean.
Faculty: The faculty are very knowledgeable and experienced in their subject. The course curriculum was very relevant and satisfied. The semester exams were a bit difficult and the college conducted them very strictly. The pass percentage of students was 90%.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted to do research in the field of chemistry. I plan to do an M.Sc. in this course to further my knowledge. The college conducts events every year and provides scholarships to students.

Moderately satisfied with the college experience.
Placements: Colleges does not provide 100% placement and only a few people got placement They only take exams, which give them degrees for the courses they have completed at the college. The best role is accountant, and Clark in company and bank jobs are offered .
Infrastructure: Classes are well maintained, but not all students attend the class. The labs are good, and the library has many books available, is also available for rent, has a lot of space, and is a quiet place. Medical facilities and sports are also good, but they have average experience.
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified, and they take exams for the course and tell us about the exam syllabus. They teach like they only want us to pass the exam, not to be ready for work in any industry. We have to do self-study and work hard to learn skills for our job.
Other: I am taking a course to do a PG in MBA and want to join the best companies. They only provide a good syllabus to study, and we only have to do self-study and pass the exam.

Satisfied with the college infrastructure.
Placements: Only students in their last year of study are eligible to participate in the placement process. Approximately 60 percent of the participating students secure placements in this course. When considering the highest package offered for this course, it amounts to around 9 Lacs per annum, while the lowest package is 4 Lacs per annum. Therefore, it is evident that there are favorable opportunities available here.
Infrastructure: The course offers excellent infrastructure and impressive facilities. The hostel is of good quality, and both the college campus and hostel provide Wi-Fi access. Additionally, the mess serves food of acceptable quality.
Faculty: The faculty members at our institution are not only skilled and supportive, but also possess high qualifications, resulting in an impressive standard of teaching that is easily comprehensible. Undoubtedly, this course is pertinent and ensures that students are well-prepared for the industry.

I'm satisfied with my college because I want only simple graduation.
Placements: There is no placement in my course because it is not a professional course. It's a simple graduation. But after completing this course, you are eligible for further studies and also for many government exams. There is no company coming to my college.
Infrastructure: Our college infrastructure is not so good. The college has decent buildings. But Wi-Fi is available at our college. And libraries are also available at our college. Our college has not provided hostel facilities. Canteens are available at our college. And the canteen food is not good. Our college has not provided any medical facilities. Our college organizes sports and games every six months. And NCC is also available at our college.
Faculty: The faculty at our college is good. Our college professors are very helpful. They are very knowledgeable. All professors are well-qualified and Ph.D. holders. And their teaching quality is good. Semester exams at our college are very easy. You can easily score the highest marks.

Details of my college in 2023.
Placements: There was no system of college recruitment but the only thing I liked about my college was my professors, who helped us during the COVID times, motivated us for the studies and made sure that each and every student understands the terms of each subject as the subject and topics were completely new to us. Speaking about my college I don't like my college much to be frank. It doesn't provide any placement; no company comes for recruitment or internship. There are no roles offered in our college .
Infrastructure: There is Wi-Fi, but students can't use them. The classrooms are so small that there is no clear facility of washrooms in our college for female students. The washrooms that we have are broken, dirty, and smelly. There is no facility of hostel, medical, sports, or games in our college.
Faculty: That is the only thing I liked about my college: my professors that helped us during COVID times and motivated us for the studies made difficult topics easy to know and understand, as during that time all the classes were online. The exam courses are also great; our teachers used to motivate us a lot for our exams so that we don't feel pressure.
Other: My batch was mostly during COVID time, so the classes were online, but during the time when we used to go to college for studies. The teachers were really good to us and took all the precautions to teach us the concept that we didn't understand.
