Average college with no campus life but good in academics.

Placements: To get into the college, one has to give the WBJEE, JEE MAINS, or JELET exam. About 60% of our students get placed. The average package of our college is about 4 lakhs per annum, and the highest package was about 13 lakhs per annum last year. Our top recruiting companies are PWC and TCS.

My life in my college, B. P. Poddar Institute of Management and Technology.

Placements: There are not many placements, and the package is very low. But yes, there are a few good placements that go from 11 lacs to 13 lacs. The teachers are good enough and chilled. The top roles offered are not that impressive and, to be honest, off-campus, you will get better jobs .

Faculty sees us as an entertainers.

Placements: Placement is not very good here. They bring 1 month internship of Flipkart (don't be fooled by listening the name of the company, it was a ground level job). No good company came till now but our previous year package was 3.2 LPA maximum. Top recruiting companies are SAP, lead heights, flipkart, TCS, cognizant, wipro, etc. Top role offered is data analyst. 20-30% students got internship.

Our college is not good, and we have to pay more than 10 lakhs for this course.

Placements: Around 25% of students got placed in our course. The highest salary package offered was 5 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 1.5 LPA. The top recruiting companies were Infosys, Cognizant, and Wipro. There were no internships in our college. We have to find internships ourselves.

It is not a good college.

Placements: If there are 200 students in a batch, only 20 will get placed.

Our college has ruined our life.

Placements: I am from electrical engineering. No core company came for placements, and even our college management does not arrange any core company. Approximately 10% of the students from electrical engineering got placed in IT companies, mainly in Cognizant, but not in any core company. The lowest salary package offered is 2.5 LPA, and the highest salary package offered is approximately 3 LPA. A student from our whole college got placed in Byju's with a salary package of approximately 9 LPA. Most of the s...

I am dissatisfied with my placement in the wrong company, which was bad.

Placements: I was placed in a very small company, which did not provide me with a good experience related to my field. They offered me a digital marketing job as a web developer. Later on, I had to quit my job training. In our college, almost 50% of the students were placed in good MNCs like Infosys, Cognizant, Capgemini, etc.

Honest review of my college.

Placements: Placements we're good for our and for senior batches. 70-80 % of the students were placed. Minimum package was around 1.8 LPA whereas the highest was around 5 LPA. Average was around 3lpa. Cognizant Infosys and ITC infotech conducted their placements round for zero slot and after that hardly any company came for placements.

The college with politics.

Placements: The education is good here. There will not be any support from this college in the field of job. Also, there will be no support from the principal here. It is only a business for them. I am from the salt lake campus and have done BBA from here. I also got a job off-campus though I needed few core companies. But, they totally screwed it up. I had to travel from Jaipur to Kolkata for the sake of my job. They don't even care what happens to your job or future as they just think of their profit and ...

It is not worth the money and it is a bad college.

Placements: The placements are disgusting. First of all, very few companies know about this college. Secondly, the TPO and the management are pathetic. The job offers are irrelevant. All the companies in the prospectus list are fake. Don't waste your life with this kind of college. There is poor campusing.

The placements and the faculty of the college are not good.

Placements: Only one-third of the total students got jobs in IT sector, which also includes students from core department. Then college started calling BPOs and other non-engineering companies. People who got placed in this didn't join, but the college record shows that they were placed.

Review of B.P. Poddar institute of management and technology.

Placements: There were good placements in past years. Approximately 70% of the students were placed. But in last two years, the placements in our branch is not good. Most of the companies like Wipro, Cognizant, I GATE TCS, TCL, etc. come to our college but they only recruit IT and CSE students. The core companies aren't coming so in our branch there are no such placements in last 1-2 years. The average salary offered is 3.4 lakhs per annum. Jonson gives the highest salary, and it is about 20-25 lakhs per an...

Dissatisfied with the infrastructure.

Placements: The training and placement cell does not care about the students. This year till now only 70 out of 360 students are placed. Among those 70 students may be 15-20 students are placed in good infrastructure. Rest are placed with Rs. 10,000 per month outside Kolkata.

Dissatisfied with the placement officer of the current batch and the infrastructure.

Placements: The Training and placement officers here are incapable of doing anything. So there is no good placement. If you want a job, don't take admission here. For 2018 batch, only around 15-18% are placed. TPO is irresponsible and arrogant, careless and cannot do anything. The management even isn't trying. The strike was done for placements, but instead of meeting the students' demands they were harassed and blackmailed of suspension.

BP Poddar Institute is good for CSE/IT and even ECE but not for electrical.

Placements: This college has a placement of 70%-90% but it depends on the batch. If students have learned Java, C, C++, PHP, SQL, etc, have a CGPA of 6.75 and above up to the 6th semester, 60% and above in 10th and 12th and have good communication skills, then he or she will definitely get placed in software companies. But only one or two core companies arrive in this college and many are pool campus placements. The criteria of core companies are very high, so only 4-5 students got placed in core and the r...

My college was ok but not very satisfactory. The teaching methodology provided is ok but the college lacks infrastructure as well as Placements as compared to other colleges. Only some teachers are good while others just come for formality. My college does not organise trips to company to get practical exposure. The fee structure is revised which is little high for some students. No convocation ceremony is organised to boost up the morale of the engineers. My college do not arrange internship fo...

Full of entertaining events, the worst placement in 2018, poor infrastructure.

Placements: Placement Scenario of this college is not good for Electrical Engineering branch, In the year 2018. The of the placed student is only 2 till date. Moreover, previous years are also not very much pleasing for EE But placement in other branches are good as compare to EE.
