I studied in Electronics and Instrumentation department. The faculty of the college was average but dedicated to giving the best of their knowledge. An equal weightage of 50% for internals and rest from the university exam that was conducted by WBUT was present. Extracurricular events like cricket and football tournaments were organized. Annual fest "Frisson2k" was well known in the Durgapur area because many celebrities and students from other colleges were invited to show their talents. Th...

At the time period of 2007 to 2011 the college is best but now day’s situation of college is not so good. Many of teachers are either thrown out or leave the college recently. Due to this strikes were going on. That's why the percentage of taking admission in this college is decreasing year by year. Also the placement is not so good. Otherwise the campus is big enough to fulfill college life.

According to me the College is quite good in aspect of maintaining discipline. But it is not good in point of good teaching facilities. Classes are running in disciplined manner daily. Some faculties are quite good and experienced ones too. But College Management is only looking on its infrastructure, not on Placement. Placement Department is not good. You never see the PLACEMENT OFFICER in college. According to me college is not good. In their prospectus you see many Companies who came here for...

Placement is very poor, only some software company comes to college. The college has comfortable classrooms. The professors are strict when it comes to academics and students are only permitted late admission up to five minutes post the commencement of the class. The college canteen offers a wide variety of food (both veg and non-veg) which are served on a daily basis (breakfast, lunch, evening snacks and dinner). The college is usually visited by around 85-90 companies during its placement time...

I have completed my B.tech in the year 2014 from this college and until that time this institute had an excellent reputation in West Bengal for its classroom learning, laboratories, placement as well as infrastructure. This institute’s faculty members have an excellent concept in area of engineering and they all are able to portray excellent level of knowledge, skillset and capability. This institute has some weaknesses like not able to place all the students of some branches like Civil, AEIE an...

BCET as we call it. It has an excellent campus with campus placement of hardly 10%. Class rooms and labs are good, but there is a whole bunch of new faculty for CS/IT dept. Management is strong. You will be only served veg food in college hostel and canteen. Least number of extra-curricular events. BCET even do not organize college fests. And a last honest opinion do not fall in trap just by seeing the prospectus.

This is one of the best engineering colleges whose name speaks for itself. It has a host of clubs and activities to choose from for all round development, depending on your interests. Robotics, aero modelling, quizzing and debating are just few of the many activities available. College hosts three fests, which itself are worth joining the campus for. Of course, you can't miss too many classes, attendance is strict.

College is well disciplined and follows strict rules. It has a dress code. Classes are regular. Some teachers are good some are not. Placement drives are organized you will get chance to get job if you are worthy. Hostel life is great. Only two students in a room you will get free internet. Library is well equipped.

The college is good but the faculty members are very bad. This college takes a very big amount of fine, like after payment of due date. They promised 100% placements but after admission, they told that there is no placement. The canteen is very bad, the HOD is very bad, the lab facility is also bad, and there is no wifi or any kind of internet connection here.

Bengal College of Engineering and Technology (BCET) is one of the well-known engineering colleges in west Bengal located in urban Durgapur. The roadway and transportation is also sound. It has magnificent infrastructure and buildings but the placement in core engineering branches are not as good as the outlook, the placement cell is rubbish. However that is normal in the present employment scenario of the Bengal. The management committee is very strict against ragging or any unpleasant happening...

Infrastructure of the college is good, as compared to other colleges, it is more disciplined and regular class is mandatory. Placement like all other private colleges, is below average. Software branches get some chances in companies like TCS but there is no chance for core branches. If you want just the degree and you can work hard, get into this college. Environment in the campus is quite good.

1. You can afford this college if you belong to middle class family. 2. You will not get non-veg food in the hostel canteen and cafeteria as well. 3. Faculty members are not up to the mark. College needs more senior faculty members. 4. Average Campus facilities. 5. Placement record is very poor and placement cell also doesn’t take enough action.

The ambiance of the college is very refreshing. The faculty members are very co-operative. Have lived some of the best days of my life in this college. Made new friends, had someone to look upon as my idol who was a teacher. The library was a good place to read books. The teachers were very supportive and always helped us in whatever the need be.

The Brand name of this college is really good. The environment, infrastructure of this college as well as teachers is also good but Durgapur has only one transportation problem. If students are really good and are willing to learn then teachers will help them but if students are not interested or serious then teachers doesn't help.

This college is suitable for WBJEE rank holders in the range between 15000 and 20000. It offers B.Tech in ECE, CSE, IT, BT, AEI, EEE disciplines. EEE discipline which is very limited within WBUT. HOD and other faculties of this stream are well experienced, and their notes and suggestions regarding core semester examination papers are really helpful. Moreover, the lab facilities are well equipped with necessary infrastructures. Separate Boy's and Girl's Hostel are situated within the campus itsel...

One of the worst colleges in the Durgapur region, managing committee is worst. College is for only business and there’s no campusing. Not a single core company visited the campus for placement during the year 2014-15. Only fake companies visit the campus for placement. TCS selects less than 35 students from our college while from other colleges; TCS selects more than 100 students.
