I am very impressed with the Bengal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research, Durgapur.
Placements: Almost 95% of students get placed every year at this college. The lowest package is INR 2.8 L per annum and ranges to INR 8 L per annum. The top recruiting companies are Medplus, Apollo Hospital, and Sunpharma. Almost 90% of students get internships from the college. Our college offers the best education in pharmaceutics in the MPharm program.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available in college but not unlimited. The college has good infrastructure with proper lighting and different labs for different subjects with all types of required instruments. The college also possesses an animal keeping house and a medicinal plant area.
Faculty: The teachers are always friendly and helpful. All of the faculty members are well qualified from institutes all over India. All the faculty members teach well to students, especially the weekday students. The course curriculum is absolutely relevant. It makes the students industry ready.
Other: D. pharma, B. pharma, and MPharm are the courses offered here. All the pharmacy-related courses have a prosperous future. So, after graduating from high school, I chose this course.

Placements, Infrastructure and faculty are nice here.
Placements: In the last few years, our college placement percentage is increasing. Average percentage is 85%. In the last year, the highest package is 8.5 Lacs per year and the lowest one is 3.5 Lacs. GSK, Mankind, Cipla, Apollo pharmacy etc. are our recruiting companies. There is a placement cell present, this cell prepares the students for creating their CV great.
Infrastructure: There is Wi-Fi available in the campus and hostel. Lots of games present there and the food is good. Cricket ground and football ground are present in the campus. Vegetarian food is available.
Faculty: College facilities are so much friendly and most of them are MPHARM and Ph.D. holders. Course curriculum is so much relevant. It absolutely makes the students ready for industrial jobs. Semester examinations are tough. At least 40% is the passing marks.
Other: I chose the course because I want to do MR in future. In our college Fest, sports events are organized with Joy.

It is a good and supportive college.
Placements: Almost 60% of students got on-campus placements. The placement cell is very active, but no big companies are coming to the campus. Only a few, like Sun Pharma and Cipla, came as big companies. Other companies like Cognizant, Wipro, and Apollo Hospitals came for recruitment. Due to COVID, no companies are giving internships physically. Our training cell is not that active in terms of contacting and approaching industries for internships. They are very much aware of COVID as well.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. The library has various books and relevant study materials. Laboratories are well-equipped, but the active ingredient date has expired, which is a bad thing. Computer labs can accommodate more than 30 people. Wi-Fi is available here. Classrooms are neat, clean, and well-maintained.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are very well-qualified and knowledgeable at the beginning. They were very supportive. However, as time passed, some new faculty members came as freshers, and we faced many difficulties as they were very strict, as if we were in school and not in college. In the end, they have made themselves comfortable, and we are enjoying and learning from them. Semester exams are much easier than continuous assessments.
Other: I have chosen this course because I wanted to do research in the medical field and this course is perfect for that. However, I have to study further. This course is the key. Some more practical activities and internships would make this course better.

It is a good college with supportive faculty.
Placements: Placements are good enough. This year, 60 students out of 100 have been placed. About 80% get placed every year. Different medical companies and hospitals like Apollo Hospital, Pulsus, Macloids, and Cipla are coming here for recruitment.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. It is upgradable. All the instruments are working properly. When a chemical gets over, it is quickly rearranged. There is an inverter. In the canteen, non-veg food is not available. Every year, the college organises many sports events like cricket, badminton, etc.
Faculty: All faculty members are very good and well-educated. They are always helpful and supportive of us. The semester is not so difficult, and there are 4 internal examinations and 2 practical exams every semester. The B.Pharma course is good for someone who is strong in chemistry and biology.
Other: The college has organised all types of programs like gaggle, freshers, sports events, etc. I chose the B.Pharma because I want to know about medicine.

It has average teachers, good extracurricular activities, environment and sports.
Placements: About 50 % of the seniors were placed last year in 2021. The lowest salary package offered is 2 LPA and the highest was 5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are GSK, Cipla, and Apollo Hospitals and there is a two-tier exam, one is written one and the next is an interview.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available and the library is huge. The labs are clean and well-maintained and classrooms are also great.
Faculty: The teaching quality is very good. The course curriculum makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are difficult but due to online exams the pass percentage is high.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in Chemistry and Biology. It is a perfect combination and is are sufficient. There are no fests but we have Pharma gaggle in May which brings alumni. The crowd is limited and extracurricular activities are also sufficient.

I was somewhat satisfied with teachers and staff members behaviour and very good placements in 2018.
Placements: Almost 60% of the students got on-campus placements. Our institutes' placement cell is much active, but no big companies are coming to the campus. Only a few, like Sun Pharma and Cipla, came as big companies. Other companies like Cognizant, Wipro and Apollo Hospitals came for placement recruitment. Due to Covid, no companies are giving internships physically. Our training cell is not that active in terms of contacting and approaching industries for internships. They are much aware of Covid as well.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good, and I would rate it 3.5 stars out of 5. The library has various books and relevant study materials. Laboratories are well-equipped, but the active ingredients date is expired, which is a bad thing. Computer labs have more than 30 capacities. Wi-Fi is available here. Classrooms are neat, clean and well-maintained.
Faculty: When I took admission into this college, I saw most of the teachers are very well-qualified and knowledgeable. They were very supportive. However, as time passed, some new faculty members came as freshers, and we faced many difficulties as they were very strict, like we were in school and not in college. In the end, they have made themselves comfortable, and we are enjoying a lot and learning from them. Semester exams are much easier than continuous assessment. Teachers helped us to score high. All the materials they gave are very relevant to the course and semester.
Other: I have chosen this course because I wanted to go for research in the medical field, and this course is perfect for the same. However, I have to study further. This course is the key. Some more practical activities and internships would make this course better. Events are organised almost every 1 to 3 times a month, and they are much enjoyable. Due to covid, it is not possible to do any fest or event. Pharma Gaggle was conducted here, which is the best thing that I enjoyed in my college life.
