Good infrastructure, faculty members, facilities, academic programme.

Placements: None of us participated in recruitment process as we all chose to go for higher studies like M.Sc. in Statistics at Kalyani University, University of Calcutta, IITK, University of Madras, Amity Delhi, integrated M.Sc+p. Hd in IITB. TCS is the top recruiter. 3 students attended a workshop named MTUSS at University of Calcutta, 3 students attended workshop at Presidency University, one did project at NSSO.

I am satisfied with the college faculty. The professors are professional and co-operative.

Placements: Nearly 5% of students were placed during the course at my college. The highest salary offered was Rs. 15,000 per month for the post of data entry operator in their company and the lowest salary offered was Rs. 9,000 per month. The top recruiting company was Tata Consultancy Services in that year. We didn't get an opportunity for the internship at our college.

Faculty members and infrastructure are excellent.

Placements: I am Laboni das from Bethune College. I studied bachelor of science in computer science, and I passed out in 2013. Later I pursued a master degree in computer science and passed out in 2015. There were no placements conducted during my tenure. Most of our batchmates opted for higher studies or doing a private job.

Review of Bethune College.

Placements: Since it is a non-technical subject, there are no placements available for the students pursuing this subject. However, certain companies offer internships in roles such as content writing, marketing, human resource management, etc. but as for placements, there is no such availability.

The college is average and slightly overhyped.

Placements: Most students went for higher studies either in or out of Kolkata. None of the students opted for placements. The average salary offered to a few students was around Rs. 3,000 to Rs. 5,00 per month. I don't have much idea about the top recruiting companies. But most of the IT companies hired students who are capable of speaking and understanding English and who are proficient at communicating through phone calls. Most students do not take up these jobs and look for a better job with a higher sal...

I am proud to be a part of this college.

Placements: Most of the students opted for higher studies. The college offers placements in many multinational companies. Top multinational companies like TCS, Wipro and others visited the campus during my final year. They selected students based on their capability. Jobs offered were mainly of BPS industry.

Absolutely satisfied with the college, and I will recommend it always.

Placements: We were made to sit for an entrance exam for TCS by the placement and career counselling cell. That is the only company that visited the college over for on-campus placements till now. If one is searching for a job, they should not depend on TCS because only 2-3 girls were selected out of an antidepressant batch of more than 200-300 people.

Satisfied with the faculty members, and the good infrastructure of college.

Placements: Placements in this college are very good. Companies like TCS hire students from the college. The lowest stipend offered during the internship was Rs. 9,000 per month. The highest salary offered was about Rs. 17,000 per month. There is also a placement cell in college, and it is very useful and efficient.

A reputed college with great facilities.

Placements: I'm not much aware of the placement opportunities but have heard a lot of good reviews from the previous students. It's one of the most reputed colleges in Kolkata. Most of the toppers of Calcutta University are from Bethune. Hence, the place is good for the students.

Satisfied with the college as it has good placements, faculty, and infrastructure.

Placements: Our college placement cell has invited tech giants like Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and Cognizant, as well as reputed firms like Netscribes for campus recruitment since 2017. Our students have cleared the placement assessments with flying colours.

If you want only to study and there is no need of enjoyment, then you are in the right college.

Placements: There are no placements for pharmaceutical companies. Only one or two companies come to recruit in BPO companies. I was not placed through this college, so I decided to pursue the master course in biochemistry. No teacher guide you for a job in any company. No opportunities for internships are there.

Satisfied with the education and facilities provided in the college. The infrastructure is bad.

Placements: The college arranges campus drives. The students who sat for interviews might have got placed with their skills. As I remember, TCS was supposed to come for campusing. I didn't sit for any interview because I wanted to go for higher studies. A pre-placement cell prepares the students for placements, in the final year. The training is provided by some other faculty, which helped in grooming the students. They even taught us the basic things like how to sit and behave in an interview, and all othe...

Placements: Alot of companies comes to the campus for placement. Each department has separate placement cells including the Post Graduate departments. Even TCS comes for hiring graduates from our college. As per the records till last year, our college has a placement guarantee of 90% students with an average package of 7lacs.

This college is good. You can take admission here. But if you care about placements, then no.

Placements: The placements facility of this college is not up to the mark. Students of arts subjects don't get much chance to appear in any interview conducted my any company which approaches this college. Generally, the students of computer science departments get a chance to appear for the interviews of IT companies. I personally feel there should be much more improvement regarding the placements of this college. Each and every student who scores good marks should get a fair opportunity to appear in inter...

Bethune College and its pride.

Placements: Many companies came last year like Tata, Wipro etc. Maximum 5 to 8 people got their jobs. The highest salary offered to a student was 25,00 and the lowest was around 10,000. Companies offered posts like organiser, receptionist, management posts etc. Around 30% got the chance every year from our college.

It has been around three years now since I have left the college. But, memories never leave you. It is something which lingers on and makes you remember all those wonderful moments. It is the first women's college of Asia and being a part of Bethune was the best phase of my life. Unlike other strict colleges, this institution always taught me to fly high. Not only education but it nurtured us in every possible way. Our dear professors taught us the value of life apart from just delivering classr...

Very good in terms of course and extracurricular.

Placements: We had around 40 students for the course as it was a Bachelor's degree in History. The college does not offer any specific recruitment, but campus placements from TCS and Cognizant were offered to all students from all degree courses. Other than that, career counseling is provided through seminars and conferences, and research guides are also offered.

Review of Bethune College.

Placements: Students who score more than 90% in academics can easily apply to this college. The college provides the best education and conducts the classes carefully. Around 80-90% of the students get placements from different companies like Wipro, etc. The salary package offered to the students is 4 LPA. Most of the students opt for higher studies, and they reject the offers from the companies. WEBEL also offers many need-based diploma courses for the students of this college. I had a beautiful college experience.

Placements: Usually, after pursuing the course of English (Honours), students pursue masters and a PhD to become a professor. Otherwise, they prepare and attend competitive exams for jobs in banks or civil services. They can also opt for creative writing or work as freelancers.
