Course Curriculum Structuring for BBA at Bishop Heber College

Here's an overview of the course curriculum structure for BBA at Bishop Heber College:

    * Teaching Style: Faculty members are qualified, but they mostly focus on theoretical knowledge, leaving students without hands-on industry exposure.
    * Curriculum Relevance: The course covers various aspects of management, including HR, Marketing, Finance, and others. However, it lacks practical implementation guidance.
    * Practical Knowledge Gaps: Students feel that more emphasis should be placed on gaining practical knowledge through assignments, projects, and workshops.
    * Industrial Exposure: While no internships are offered through campus, students suggest that more industrial visits and workshops could prepare them better for the industry.
    * Subject Matter Experts: Except for a few faculty members, most instructors lack up-to-date industrial knowledge, making it challenging for students to apply theoretical concepts to real-world scenarios.
    * Workshops and Industrial Visits: Regular workshops and industrial visits are recommended to enhance student learning and make them industry-ready.

Overall, while the course provides a solid foundation in management principles, students feel that more attention should be paid to practical applications, industrial exposure, and updating the curriculum to reflect contemporary industry trends.

It is a good college in Trichy for UG and PG courses.
Placements: The highest salary package offered is 5 LPA. The average salary package offered is 3 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 2.5 LPA. The salary package offered for PG courses ranges between 8 LPA - 15 LPA. Top recruiting companies are TCS and Wipro. The top role offered is sales manager.
Infrastructure: Our classrooms are well-equipped with projectors. The library has a separate block with 3 floors for each department. Our college has a computerised library. The food served in the hostel is good. The hostels are modernised.
Faculty: Most of the faculty members are Ph.D. holders. They provide us with industrial knowledge. The pass percentage is 65%. Exams are easy to pass compared to other private colleges.

A prestigious institution to gain knowledge .
Placements: 90% of the students were placed in my course. 30,000 was the highest package and the lowest package is 15,000. More than 50% of students got internship from my course in v D-ART wipro, tcs, Infosys. Sales and marketing, finance. Human Resource Management, finance, auditing, sales and marketing and many other platforms are there in our course. There are many companies ready to offer for our course Bachelor of business administration. Many students are being placed and they are being shined in different platforms. Freshers were also offered a good amount of packages and the company motivates them and helps them to shine and improve their knowledge and gain experience.
Infrastructure: All kinds of facilities and infrastructure available for out course /department are like Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, libido etc. The best quality facilities are given in my hostel and the quality of food available in the mess and canteen is good. Medical facilities, sports and games are also good.
Faculty: The best staffs are appointed for my course and they are really helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. Course is relevant and make the students industry ready. It is little difficult hence we are writing our semester first time offline so it is a little difficult to write the exam and the question paper was also difficult. The course makes the students good in marketing and guides the student. The course makes us capable for our post graduate programs like Masters in MBA like in different fields such as finance, sales and marketing and human resource management.
Other: I have a lot interest in marketing that's why I have chosen this course. Everything is perfect and nothing needs to be improved. Everything is available in our college. Many events programs, internships, fest, campus interview, scholarship programmers, many extracurricular activities are also there such as football, basketball, cricket, dance, ncc, gymnastics, athletics and many more activities are there which is useful for us and some activities are also there for our physical activities.

Review of Bishop Heber College aviation department.
Placements: There are no placements for the BBA aviation department. We got placed only in Indigo. Only 2 or 3 students got placed last year. The highest salary package offered is Rs. 40,000 per month and the lowest salary package offered is Rs. 20,000 per month. Recruiting companies like Air India, AirAsia, etc. conduct off-campus drives. There are no internships offered by the college. Top roles offered are cabin crew, security officer, ramp officer, etc.
Infrastructure: The college library is good, with plenty of books for reference. The college provides free Wi-Fi for registered students. Computer and practical labs are good. I'm staying outside, but from what I've heard, hostel facilities and mess food are not that good.
Faculty: The teaching staff for our BBA aviation and ground handling department is not that good. They lack experience except for two faculty members. The syllabus is strong and good. The syllabus makes students ready for jobs in the aviation industry. Students need to study for semester exams, as without studying it is not possible to pass semester exams.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in aviation. Our college charges less fees compared to other aviation colleges. The college campus is good. The environment is good, surrounded by trees and plants. Our college helps students to apply for scholarships. There are clubs in our college for conducting extracurricular activities. Campus life is good.

    Satisfied with the faculty.
Placements: The placement was good even though I finished my UG still am receiving messages regarding placements from the college. More than 50% of students from my course have been placed in various companies. Internships are not good, if you want to do intern you should take the responsibility and staffs will guide in that scenario. The highest salary offered was 25000. They also try to make the students go for an off-campus interview.
Infrastructure: Nice classroom setup and one of the best libraries in the Trichy. Hostel cleanness and food were moderate, Sports and games were not good because faculty won't take responsibility for the games which were conducted around the Tamilnadu, students only should take responsibility.
Faculty: Teachers were well qualified and knowledgeable in their field and the teaching quality of the teachers was not so good but if we make use of them we will get more knowledge from them. The course curriculum is relevant but it does not make the students ready for the industry.
Other: I chose BBA because I love to make things happen so I think Administration is the best choice for me and the best things about this course were I able to get knowledge in all the fields of management like HR, Marketing, Finance, etc. But not practically. I wish staffs should educate the students in more practical ways and how to implement the staffs we learned in real life. There will be an event for every month in this college. Campus life will help to great good memories.

Practical knowledge and internships are not provided in our college.
Placements: Companies which visit our college for placements are average. Required training or information regarding placements is not provided for students properly. The highest salary package offered is 3 LPA. Proper group discussions should be conducted to all the students so that they can perform well in interviews.
Infrastructure: The food served in the canteen and hostel is the worst. The medical facility is not available even for hostel students. They will collect a medical fee from hostel students, but they don't provide medical facilities. The quality of the food served is very poor. However, the library is excellent, but the staff members in the library are not very friendly.
Faculty: Except for a few faculty members, some faculty members don't even have subject knowledge. They don't explain practically, and only theoretical knowledge is provided even for quantitative subjects. As our course is practical, we need many business-related things and practical explanation regarding what is happening in the business environment.
Other: The fest organised in our college is not bad, and the student helping centre is very good. I wish that our college should improve the teaching method, and it should also provide internship opportunities for students.

The infrastructure is good and placements are average.
Placements: Placements are average in this college. No internships are offered on campus. Top recruiting companies were banking companies and IT companies like TCS. The highest package is around 3.5 LPA, average package is around 1.5 LPA and the lowest package is around 96k PA.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good. There is a library, labs, basketball court, football field, etc. The food available in the canteens is average. The college requires a good road facility because it becomes messy during the rainy season.
Faculty: The teachers are qualified. They have theoretical knowledge but lack with little current industrial and practical knowledge. The syllabus can be more updated. And frequent workshops are required. The course requires more workshops and industrial visits to make students industrial ready.
Other: The course is good. A lot of workshops, team-based projects and assignments, industrial visits are needed to learn more about the current market or industrial requirements.
