B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2028

All about average but not so good.
Placements: About 60% of students got placements. The highest package is 16 Lacs, the average package is about 5-6 Lacs, and the lowest package is 1.2 LPA. Companies were Infosys, Byju's, Wipro, and L&T. 40% of students got internships at Wipro and NTPC. Roles offered include project manager, management officer, and lower-class employees.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good overall. The library is available until 6 PM. There is no library at night. The canteen is good. The labs are very good. The medical facility is totally the worst. The food is average. In terms of sports, it is the worst. There is a playground available, but the tier is totally senior.
Faculty: Yes, teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is very good, and they give time to students. Semester exams are very tough. The passing percentage is about 80-95%. The course curriculum is relevant and good. Students get more.
Other: In my batch, there are only 50-55 students. The crowd is very less, and that's why it is possible to get better knowledge and good personality development. The food could be better. The canteen also requires improvement. Washrooms also need improvement. Events occur frequently. Connectivity is very poor. The campus is totally outside of town. If we want to get some required things, we will have to travel about 4-5 kilometers from the college. Scholarships are available for eligible candidates. Extracurricular activities are not good.

Absolutely Satisfied because of low fees but dissatisfied because of hostel mess and placement.
Placements: Almost 70-75% of students in my course got placed. As I belong to the CS/IT branch, 80-90 tech offers were found (total students in CS/IT in the 2024 batch were 120). The highest package was 10 LPA, the average package was 4.92 LPA, and the lowest package was not applicable. Top recruiting companies were TCS, MeasurePM, Teachnook, Google, HLS, DeltaX, and MindYourFleet. There were very few internship offers. Many students tried off-campus avenues to get their internships. Roles offered were SDE Intern, System Software Engineer, and Trainee.
Infrastructure: Our department provides facilities such as smart classrooms, Wi-Fi, projectors, AC, RO water, and many more. The infrastructure inside classrooms is good. Overall infrastructure is okay but not well-managed by the college. You also have access to the library (from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM), which has very good infrastructure. There are three new hostels; the rest are very old, but as a student, you will have no problems inside the hostels and rooms regarding infrastructure. The quality of food in the hostel mess is a little bit low (sometimes oily, uncooked, etc.), which is common in every government college. Good quality food is provided in the central canteen inside the college. For medical facilities, there is a dispensary located inside the college (with doctors and free medicine) that is good. For sports and games, there is a big central playground and SAC with good facilities.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, qualified (M.Tech, Ph.D. holders, UGC NET qualified), and knowledgeable. The course curriculum is relevant. My course is with the Information Technology branch, which makes me ready for the industry in many fields, including web development and AI/ML. As BIET Jhansi is an autonomous college, you will never have very difficult semester exams, as the papers are made by college teachers. You have to get 40% (40/100) in one subject to pass.
Other: I chose this course because I want to be a software engineer. The best thing about my course is that you will never get bored with the subjects. It makes you a good problem-solver and sharpens your deducing skills. Never hesitate to learn from others (maybe your friends, seniors, or teachers). Events and fests are organized by IIC, FAH, and other councils four to five times a year. The campus crowd is very large. It has good connectivity to the city and campus, surrounded by the medical college and Bundelkhand University. All eligible students get scholarships, and teachers are helpful regarding scholarships. Extracurricular activities are conducted (SEVA Foundation, Swachh Bharat, RSS, etc.).

No one wants to do their job properly here.
Placements: About 60-65% of students got placed. Mostly from the CSE, ECE, IT, and EE branches. Lower branches have very little placement. The highest package offered last year on campus was 18 LPA from HLS Asia to 1 student. Others were within 10 lakhs. Large numbers of students, around 39, were placed in TCS for different roles. But sad reality is mostly companies are coming for sales roles, which is a big shame for students and college also.
Infrastructure: Since college was very old, old buildings need servicing, which is done when college understands that its high time now. New buildings are very good. WiFi was available all over the campus and had no limit on usage, which is good about that college. Library rooms are equipped with AC. I don't know about labs because labs are virtual here. No hands-on experience because they don't want to connect the new machines to the power. Faculty is just a nightmare.
Faculty: We have guest faculty, which is not knowledgeable by any means. They take classes just to recite the notes they carry. No explanation, no problem solving, nothing. Since college is autonomous, you can't argue with them as they fail you in exams.
Other: I chose it because it was in the top 3 government colleges. But it's completely opposite. Many clubs and councils are there, so you can participate in many events that happen very frequently. Also have an incubator cell where you learn about entrepreneurs. Drone Learner's Club, which is very good. So overall, college in terms of these things is good.

B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering - Batch of 2027

Some satisfactory issues of college.
Placements: The Chemical Engineering branch has a good percentage of placed students, which is about 60 to 70 percent, and I heard from my senior that someone from the final year got hired at a 4-5 LPA package. Approximately 75 percent of students get industrial internships every year because they don't like doing mini projects.
Infrastructure: Everything is fine in the Chemical Engineering department, but in hostels, there is a shortage of water for both drinking and washing. Food in the mess is not good starting from the second year. Canteen food is also hygienic, but the medical facilities and sports and games are genuinely good.
Faculty: Teachers are knowledgeable but not very helpful. Teaching quality is average. The course curriculum is relevant, but it does not make students industry-ready. Semester exams are a little bit difficult, but with the help of previous year question papers, it becomes quite easy. Forty percent is the pass percentage in exams.
Other: I chose this course because of interest and for giving the GATE exam. The best thing about the Chemical Engineering course is less competition in GATE. I think the faculty teaching methods should improve in Chemical Engineering; it should not feel like school. In this college, events are good, connectivity is nice, but the campus surrounding is a jungle.

Overall, the college is good, but it needs improvement in placement and infrastructure.
Placements: In this college, the overall placement record is not bad, and the college provides better career options for students for placement. It is increasing focus on sustainable and green technologies. It pushes AI and automation, interacting with machine learning.
Infrastructure: The old hostel condition is very poor; no maintenance is held any year. The water cooler is not working, and the mess food is not so good. Most of the workers are mentally disturbed, and there is child labor. The bathroom is not clean, and there is a water shortage problem.
Faculty: The teachers are not helpful, basically if you face a problem, but some are very good in nature. They are knowledgeable, and they have quality for teaching. Exams are timely conducted according to the academic calendar. The semester exam is a little bit difficult.

Yes in the year 2015 faculty, infrastructure and placement all are absolutely good !
Placements: Biet gives placement to teach field mostly not core branches comparatively. College doesn't offer internship for students as study have to do to internship by itself ! Top company for my course is L&T. The highest package is 64 Lacs per annum and minimum is 1 Lacs.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is poor as it is government college. Not maintained from years! Hostel food is also not good. Wi-Fi is working properly, labs are also somebit good, classrooms doesn't have any AC, but library is well maintained ! As said above hostel food is not uo to the taste .
Faculty: Faculty us not that much good and approachable. They did not have proper knowledge and the quality is d grade. No mostly students do it by thereselves, they study by their own, get numbers and get placed in companies. Semester exams are not that much difficult ad I havr passed my some of the subjects by studying one day before the exam !
Other: Yes the interesting thing in our college is fest. Personally I enjoy most in fests.
