It is an average campus, and the management is below-average.

Placements: There are very poor quality placements for the civil engineering course. The management of our university is very poor, and it needs to be improved. None of the companies visits our college and offers any placement.

Averagely satisfied with the college due to its management.

Placements: There are around total 230 students those who are doing their B.Tech degree along with me from cv raman college of engineering Bhubaneswar. The highest number of students are place in CSE branch as compared to any other branch in our college. According to an report the average salary of our campus placement is from 3 -4 Lacs per annum. But students get high salary margin by taking off campus placement. Our recruiters are capgemini, infosys, tcs. Roles offered in my branch are software engineer. ...

Review of C.V. Raman College of Engineering.

Placements: Placements for 2016 were more than 50%. However, due to the recession in 2017, MNCs hired comparatively less, i.e., around 25%. Companies like Cognizant, Infosys, and Wipro usually hire students here. Apart from that, you can attend for various pooled campus drives. The average salary offered is around 3-4 LPA. But the highest salary package in 2016 was 9 LPA.

The college is good, but the facilities are not enough for the fee we paid.

Placements: From my batch and my senior batch, some of the students are still struggling for placements. The college is not taking any interest in providing placements. During my admission, they said that the college will provide 100% placements. For placements, they charge extra Rs. 1 lacs apart from fees. But, none of the students got placed.

I am not satisfied as the faculty were not good.

Placements: Placements for our batch were good. Almost 60% of the students get placed from our college. The college offers internships. Students also get placed in BPO firms and are offered real engineer roles at Voltas. Most of the students get placed in software companies like Wipro, Infosys, Mindtree, Cognizant, and TCS, etc.

I am not satisfied with this college due to more focus on theory and attendance than lab sessions.

Placements: The average salary package offered in the college was around 4 LPA. But if you are good at coding, then you will get placed in some startup companies where they offer a salary package around 8 LPA. Students of CSE, IT, etc., branches get placed easily rather than core branches. So, if you are opting for other branches except these, then you should forget about placements, rather go for higher studies. Almost 70% of the seniors of these branches got placed. Companies like Wipro, Cognizant, Infosy...

I am dissatisfied with the campus placements.

Placements: Placements for our senior batch was not very good this year. Approximately, only 25% of students got placed in our college. The highest salary package offered was around 6 LPA and the average salary package offered was only 3 LPA. Companies like Infosys, WIPRO, and COGNIZANT, etc., visited the college for placements this year. There is one placement cell in our college, which is not useful at all. Only 30% of students got internships from the college.

Really disappointed with the placements.

Placements: One or two companies for the civil department visited the college but took only 4 out of 72 students. We have done internships, but there was no stipend. All other software companies visited, such as Infosys, Wipro, etc. We, civil students, are only allowed for Infosys, and all other companies did not allow the students of civil engineering.

Not satisfied with the College and it's curriculum.

Placements: Placements have not been very good for the passed out batches. For IT branch the placement has been around 30-40%. The average salary is same of 3.25 while the highest has been 9 LPA which was given by SAP in off campus. The companies that visited were Infosys, Cognizant, GSK, Wipro and Bosch along with some other companies that the college took for off campus.

It holds a good name in Odisha among all private colleges.

Placements: During my graduation time, the market was a bit down, but still, approximately 50% of the students got placed in campus drives. However, most of them were IT companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, etc. Even most of the students from other branches also joined IT firms as there were very few core companies. The CTC offered varied from 1.8 LPA to 5.5 LPA. Most of the IT firms offered approximately 3 LPA during that time. However, in last 4 years, the campus placement has significantly increased.

C. v raman college of engineering.

Placements: Placement is not so good but if you deserve you will get. Most of the students get placed in IT sector. so basically if you are good in C you will also get placed. Last two year placement was not so good may be because of recession in the IT sector for Software companies.

Extremely dissatisfied with the college placements.

Placements: Placement is the worst in this college for mechanical engineers. Placement in IT sector is good. Most of the companies are IT companies. Around 70% student got placed only in IT. The lowest salary is 12000. No one got internship from college. The placement cell is good.

Not good college. Don't join in this college.

Placements: In this college, the placement scenario is good for IT and CSE department but the number decreases with other departments. The ETC branch is also having a good placement record. Most students prefer to go on the computer line as the placement is good rather than their departments.

Don't get admission in this college.

Placements: The placement is not satisfied. In C.V. Raman College, our seniors didn't get many placements as they expected. In 2016 batch, only 110 students got placed in the computer science branch. I hope in our passing batch, that is 2019, we will get the good placement.

I am neutrally satisfied with the college.

Placements: The placement here is good. Last year, the highest package was of 11 Lakhs. This year it's of the 9 Lakhs until now. And in our senior batch, 95% students were placed. Also, with the extra training with CDAC and other courses, most of the students are getting placed here. Apart from the campus selection, many got placed in off-campus too.

It is an autonomous college which is good for It interested candidates, but not for core branch.

Placements: C.V.Raman gives the student an excellent scope to appear the placements and get an opportunity to get a job, but the companies are from IT sector, and only scarce companies come to hire core students. I think the college should give attention to call core companies also. So, therefore core students can get an opportunity to crack interviews and get a job according to their skill and knowledge. The placement of seniors is average. 30-40 percent students were placed. The highest salary offered was...

Good infrastructure, but faculty can be better

Placements: Companies like 6 to 7 came, on-campus and off-campus. 2 companies were not interested to hire mechanical students, still, if one scored exceptionally, they will be placed. SSEPL courses are only good if you got the good teachers. Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, Bosch and Rexroth and some more placement companies recruited candidates from our batch. Bosch and Rexroth classes are very interesting.

Overall, the college is average, but one should think twice before taking the admission.

Placements: There is a placement opportunity, but no core companies in the final placement. For core and reputed companies, we had to sit on pool campus, where there was a negligible chance of selection. The mass recruiters like Infosys, Cognizant, Wipro visit the campus to hire the students. The average package offered is 3.3 LPA.

C. V. Raman College of Engineering: Both good and bad things.

Placements: The college placement is managed by Admin. Many companies both in core and software fields visited the campus for placements including companies like Infosys, TCS, Bosch, Tech Mahindra, Cognizant, Capgemini, Wipro and much more. Though most of the students are placed, the college doesn't guarantee 100% placements. In my batch, many students were unplaced. Also, there is no one company per person policy. That means one person can sit and convert more than one company. ...

Dissatisfied by the education technique. Management people are not friendly.

Placements: Placements for our senior batches were good. At least 1-2 core companies visited. But during our placement, only IT or consultation companies visited. As we were from the mechanical batch, we were only allowed to sit for only 1 IT or consultation companies in placement. Day 1 companies were Infosys, Wipro, and Cognizant for which anyone can try for all of them. Around 500 students participated in it.
