B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2025

Hard work is the key to success.
Placements: I am from the 2021 batch student from B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering. In this batch, there are only 200 students in Computer Science, and they are divided into four batches. Each batch has 50 students. Per year, more than 60% of students are placed. Top recruiters in college are IT companies like Infosys, Wipro, and Tech Mahindra.
Infrastructure: According to infrastructure, hostel facilities are good. They provide free Wi-Fi in the hostel, and in a room, there are three fans, two lights, and a good placed study table. Every day, they provide one hour of study time in the hostel. In extra time, new courses are offered, and they do some workshops.
Faculty: All the faculties are good. They are helpful in any critical condition, for good knowledge and good experience. They have provided PDF notes and sometimes online classes and lab experience. Exams are conducted in this campus, and they are very strict. Every faculty member has good experience and knowledge.
Other: In Centurion University of Technology and Management, I think not only the education sector, but most facilities like games and other extra activities like dancing and singing, all are essential and provided on this campus.

A bit satisfied. A lot of scope for improvement, though.
Placements: There are many placement opportunities, but most of them are underpaying jobs, with a few exceptions. The highest package is around 12 LPA (CTC), and the lowest would be around 2-3 LPA (CTC). Companies like Tech Mahindra, TCS, and Cognizant were the top recruiters. Around 40% of students have serious internships at the end of the third semester in companies like Cognizant, Asian Paints, and other small companies from internship-offering websites. Roles offered include software developer, full-stack developer, back-end developer, tech support, database manager, software analyst, etc.
Infrastructure: The hostel infrastructure is not that great. It is somewhat congested to adjust in a medium-sized room with 5 individuals. The wiring is also not apt for a five-person room. There is Wi-Fi availability with limited 2GB/day. The Wi-Fi often is troublesome, and wardens do not usually take care of the Wi-Fi issues. The library is good, with tons of books from every department. Labs are also available with good quality desktops, although most of the time students use personal devices due to their own choice. The quality of food is below average. There are numerous times when food is bland and tasteless. Medical facilities are not available inside the campus. The ambulance used to carry patients to the nearest hospital is also not well-equipped with life support equipment. A variety of games and sports like basketball, badminton, fencing, swimming, kabaddi, kho-kho, gym (average), outdoor gym, table tennis, and volleyball are available for students to play.
Faculty: Most of the teachers were good at teaching, although they lack some dazzling qualifications. But they are good at teaching, with a few exceptions. Also, there is extreme pressure of writing unnecessary volumes of classroom learning and action learning pages (a form of writing and submitting your everyday learnings on pen and paper for marks. It is compulsory). Yes, the course is relevant, and it does make students industry-ready. The way of teaching, however, seems quite theoretical at times, with less focus on updating to modern-day changing technology.
Other: I opted for the course as I was interested in computer science and learning about the working mechanics of applications in computers. I wish the unnecessary workloads of constantly writing and submitting an unhealthy amount of learning records and assignments could improve the overall well-being of students' mental health. There are a number of events and an annual fest taking place inside the campus every now and then. It also provides some support for extracurricular activities.

Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharma.) - Batch of 2027

This university is average good. As per course fees, it does not provide placements.
Placements: Around 70% of the students were placed both on-campus and off-campus, but the majority of the students opted to pursue a master's degree. Pharma industries like Cipla, Dr. Reddy's, and Mankind Pharma are hiring many students. The average package is 10k–18k per month, with a maximum of 40k per month.
Infrastructure: Classroom labs are well-designed with sufficient instruments and chemicals. The library is open from 10 am to 9 pm for students. Wi-Fi is available in the hostel and library but not in the classrooms. Hostel food is very bad, and the hostel fees are overpriced.
Faculty: B. Pharmacy teachers are very helpful and well-educated. The teaching quality is nice. Semester exams are very difficult to pass, and the EOD exam fees are very high. The examination management is okay, but the EOD system and the prices for the EOD exams are very hard for a middle-class student.
Other: I chose this course to help people by providing good medicine for the poor and for a better life. This university has forgotten about events and fests, and scholarships are very limited.

Review of Centurion University of Technology and Management, Bhubaneswar Campus.
Placements: For percent of students placed in this course is more than 80% from the college. The highest and the lowest package offered to the course is greater than 1500000 and lower than 40000. Top recruiting companies in India come to my college. 50% of students got internships in this course.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available in the bio department are very good. Wi-Fi, labs, and classrooms are all things that are available for the students in the college. The quality and facility in my hostel were very good; the food was so good. Medical facilities are present, and sports and games facilities are not available in the college.
Faculty: The teachers are so qualified, helpful, and knowledgeable. All teachers in my college have good teaching qualities. This course is curriculum relevant; students are industry ready. The semester exam in my college was very difficult; therefore, the pass percentage is 35%.
Other: I chose this college for getting the best engineering degree. There is no wish to improve in this course. Events and good scholarships are also available at my college.

About Centurion university.
Placements: The placement support is not good because most of the placements are not related to the branch. Most of them are from marketing. Also, some placements are from outside Odisha, which students are not interested in joining. Also, some companies that are related to IT offer low packages.
Infrastructure: The course structure is fantastic, but the attendance requirement is annoying. The library is amazing and has everything that is sufficient for the course. Also, an interesting fact is that some people from Nigeria are also at our university to study.
Faculty: The teachers help us a lot. They are qualified and talented. The course curriculum is relevant to the course. The teaching quality is good. Passing the semester exam is also easy for everyone. But some have backlogs due to attendance.

Not good placement and infrastructure is good.
Placements: The highest salary package offered was 6 lakhs per annum, the lowest was 1.5 lakhs per annum, and the average salary package was 2-3 lakhs per annum. The major recruiters were ICICI Bank, Wipro, and Federal Bank. About 60% of the students did their internships on campus. Some of the job roles offered were sales manager, supervisor, and HR roles.
Infrastructure: The college has Wi-Fi, a library, classrooms with digital boards and air conditioning, a butterfly garden, a green campus, an auditorium, and parking for cars and bikes. However, the food is of poor quality, and insects are sometimes found in the food. Sports offered are cricket, volleyball, basketball, and swimming.
Faculty: The teachers at this college are very helpful and highly qualified. They have PhDs in their respective fields. The teaching quality is good, and the teachers use their own presentations to help students understand the material better. The course curriculum is relevant and prepares students for the industry. The semester exams are moderately difficult, and the passing percentage is 65%.
Other: I chose this course because I want to work in the banking sector, and I chose the finance sector because cost accounting is required in most banks. I wish there were more personal development programs. Events like flash mobs and the fest "gajajyoti" happen here. The campus is in a healthy green environment, and scholarships such as e-kalyan and PM scholarship are available.
