    {Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}

Is BE/BTech at Ch. Ranbir Singh State Institute of Engineering and Technology (CRSSIT) worth the investment?

    Pros:
    * Low fees: The annual fees of INR 40,000 make it a relatively affordable option.
    * Scholarships: Scholarships are available, especially for SC/ST students.
    * Quality education: The institute has experienced and knowledgeable faculty members.
    * Good placement record: About 50-60% of students get placed every year, with top companies like HCL, TCS, and Reliance participating in recruitment drives.
    * Infrastructure: The campus has modern infrastructure, including Wi-Fi connectivity, laboratories, and a library.

    Cons:
    * Limited exposure: As a newly established institution (2017), the college may lack reputation and connections compared to older institutions.
    * Teaching quality varies: While some faculty members are experienced and knowledgeable, others may not be as effective in conveying complex concepts.
    * Curriculum limitations: The course curriculum might not be entirely relevant to the industry requirements, potentially affecting students' employability.
    * Infrastructure issues: Some students reported poor maintenance of infrastructure, including the library and hostels.

    Neutral:
    * No campus placements guaranteed: Despite having a good placement record, students may need to rely on self-efforts to secure employment.
    * Competition: With limited seats available, competition for placement and internships may be stiff.

Overall, considering the pros and cons, Ch. Ranbir Singh State Institute of Engineering and Technology seems like a viable option for students seeking a cost-effective and relatively good education in engineering. However, students must be prepared to face potential challenges and adapt to the evolving landscape of the industry.

The college has limited sports facilities but provides well-stocked libraries and practical discussion-based teaching methods. Students can wear whatever they prefer and enjoy a socially unbiased and positive campus life without facing any discrimination. Good college for reputed B.Tech in budget.
Placements: Placement opportunities are decent, with around 50% of students getting placed. The highest package offered in 2020 was 7.2 LPA. Top recruiters include Mitsuba India Pvt Ltd and Nagata Auto Engineering India Pvt Ltd. Internships are not that great, and you will need to find one yourself.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure for mechanical engineering is not so good, and the labs could be improved. The teachers are quite good, knowledgeable, and have doctorates. Hostel life is okay, but the mess food is not so good. Medical support is lacking, and sports facilities are not adequate.
Faculty: The guest faculty members were very helpful and knowledgeable. The teaching quality was good, and the curriculum was good because the MDU university is NAAC A+. The semester exams were easy, not hard, and the exam center was the college itself. The passing percentage was okay, and the exams were not so hard, but you need to self-study.
Other: I attended Government College Jhajjar, which is affiliated with MDU. I had a good experience at the college.

Better than some private colleges. You can definitely visit this college once.
Placements: Placements are average at the college, with 50-60% of students placed. The main recruiter is LIC, and companies like Accenture, Wipro, and TCS also visit the college. However, the package for the Mechanical branch is higher than for the Computer Science and Engineering branch.
Infrastructure: The college is newly built, so the infrastructure is good. It opened in 2017. The washrooms are neat and clean, and the hostel is also well-maintained. The food in the hostel is average. Sports meetups are held at the college, and all sports facilities are available.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, and the staff is supportive. They provide extracurricular activities like industry visits, hackathons, and coding competitions. The semester exams are easy to pass if you study well during the semester; if not, studying 15-20 days before the exams will still help you pass.

Average college, infrastructure, and placements. Staff is good.
Placements: I am in the CSE department, and I took admission in 2023, and my passing batch is 2027. My class strength is 60; however, it increases from 2nd year as more students accept admission. Companies do visit colleges for placement, but in the CSE branch, however, very few companies come for the CSE branch. Most students get internships through referral.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is present in colleges as well as hostels. There are computer labs and workshops present in the college. The speed of Wi-Fi is also good. There is only one hostel for boys and one for girls. All rooms are four people sharing. The quality of mess food is average.
Faculty: Most of the faculty is supportive and knowledgeable. They are helpful and motivate students. There are two exams that take place in one semester. The first is a 30-mark written test in the middle of the semester, and the final is a 75-mark written test at the end. Exams are not that tough. It is easy to crack.
Other: I choose CSE because it is in very demand. Most of the learning is theory-based. It would be much better if it were project-based learning. There are very few events and functions in college. Clubs are present in the college. Campus crowd is very bad.

It’s a very great college you can definitely consider.
Placements: Placement of the college is average. About 60% of students are placed in companies. The mass recruiter is LIC, and companies like Accenture, Wipro, and TCS visit during the placement session. However, the placement of the mechanical branch is better than that of CSE, with the highest package being 8 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good since it opened in 2017. The washrooms are neat and clean. There are water coolers, but sometimes they don’t provide cold water, and it can be frustrating.
Faculty: The faculty is good. Teachers are nice and supportive, with proper knowledge of their subjects. Labs are also managed by professors, and there are proper AC labs available in the college. Semester exams are easy; if you study well, you can easily clear them.

Placements: Placements at this college are average. Approximately 60-70% of students are placed. Accenture, TCS, Wipro etc. are the companies that are visiting this college. The highest package offered is 8 LPA. Mass recruiter is LIC corporation. However, the placement of the mechanical branch is better.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good, the washrooms are neat and clean, the hostel rooms are in good condition, and the mess food is average. There is a canteen on campus, and sports meetups are held where students can participate in a variety of sports.
Faculty: The faculty are highly qualified and very good. They are very supportive and have a lot of knowledge about their subjects. Exams are held every semester, and if we study well, we can easily clear them.

Good campus and very support the faculty.
Placements: Basically 60 to 70% of students gets there placement but most of them are not big organisation. 1 or 2 companies are good. If I take my example I got placed in a japnese MNC from this college ant that was the only MNC at that year in mechanical branch.
Infrastructure: Classes are good hostels are also Good but workshop dose not have all facilities such as new late machines and the latest equipments. But all the teachers are trying very hard to arrange all the equipments as soon as possible. Last year ve have also given a late machines to the college.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful mainly the guest faculty. They will help you at every moment and understand what you want to ask or say. Special the mechanical engineering faculty they are very friendly and helping. Some permanent faculty members are not so good but not all of them.
Other: Campus is quite big and they organized different ko curricular activities such as Tec. Fest, sports day annual day, teacher day, and many more.
