Q:   How does the placement cell for B.E. / B.Tech at Chaibasa Engineering College assist students in getting placed?

    A:
    {Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}

    Placement Cell Assistance

    * The placement cell of Chaibasa Engineering College assists students in getting placed by inviting various reputed companies such as Bhushan Steel and Infosys to conduct campus recruitment drives.
    * These companies offer job opportunities to students across different states, providing a platform for students to gain employment after completing their degrees.
    * The placement cell works hard to invite companies for placements and has a startup cell that helps students who want to start their own businesses.
    * Additionally, the college offers internships to students who have achieved good academic results, providing hands-on experience and exposure to industries.

Note: The placement cell's efforts seem focused on bridging the gap between education and employability, catering to the needs of students seeking job placements after graduation.

Absolutely satisfied because of the college's mess quality.
Placements: The college placement is good. The highest package is 7 LPA and the minimum package is 3.5 LPA. The top required companies are Amazon and Tata Steel.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure availability in our college and departments are very average. There are specific labs and program halls that provide you with a notification about daily life experiences. And the quality of the mess is average.
Faculty: In my college, the teachers are helpful for your course. Yes, this course curriculum is relevant and makes the students industry-ready. Talking about difficulties in semester exams it can be easy or difficult depending upon the paper and faculty.
Other: I chose this course because in India there are requirements for civil engineers. The only improvement I want in the college is the faculty members.

    Good faculty members and infrastructure.
Placements: In 2023 only 30-40% of students are placed through campus placement. The highest package of placement is 5 LPA, the lowest 2 LPA and the average package is 3.5 LPA. All students got internships from our college course. Site engineer was the top role. Placements are not good for this college.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is not well maintained. Wi-Fi is not working properly. Not much equipment is available in labs. Most of the equipment is broken. Not all books which are important to students are available in the library. Faculty members are good and supportive. There is no medical facility in our college.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and knowledgeable. They clear our doubts very well. They are always ready to clear our doubts. The difficulty level of the semester exam in this college is moderate. The passing percentage of this college is 95%. And 80% of students scored good marks.
Other: I'm interested in the civil engineering field and that's why I chose this course.

I am not satisfied with the mess food.
Placements: Placements are not very good. Many students got placements. Only a few students got good placements with a salary package of 8 LPA. Branch-wise placements are different. The highest salary package offered in our college is 14 LPA. If you want to get a good job with a good LPA, you need to go through outside placements.
Infrastructure: Facilities are not very good. Around 5 students are staying in one hostel room. The hostel has Wi-Fi. It works only sometimes. The food served in the food is not hygienic. There are no medical facilities. The hostel does not have a playground for games.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified but not helpful. If you are joining this college, you should never depend on teachers. They don't help you with your studies. The course curriculum is relevant. It does not fully prepare you for the field, you must seek placements.
Other: All courses are good. They all give you a technical degree. CSE has more chances to be placed. The thing I want to change in our course is to provide more practical knowledge.

Dissatidfied because of campus life, connectivity and infrastructure.
Placements: Around 60-70% of students are placed most of the job are from IT sector. The lowest is 2.5 Lacs, the highest is around 7 Lacs and average is around 3 Lacs. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Infosys. Students get internship by own from off campus or any other sources.
Infrastructure: Two departments in one building so shortage of classrooms, labs are also average, wi-fi speed is also very slow around 100-200 kbps, library is also average. In hostel three students in one room also below average room, no canteen and no playground, for medical emergency students have travel 10km from campus.
Faculty: Some teachers are very good, knowledgeable and the teaching style is also very good. But some teachers teaches just to complete syllabus, so overall teachers are average. I don't think this curriculum makes industry ready as all the students are placed in IT sector. Semester exam are easy to average and around 33% is pass percentage.

It is an excellent college with helpful teachers, but you have to do self-study.
Placements: In our college, placements are good. It is better to try for off-campus placements. You must apply for internships off campus only. Many companies come for placements. There are many students getting placements through our college. You can go to this college.
Infrastructure: The hostel is good. The mess food is not that good. The college labs are good. Wi-Fi connections are available. You can use them on your mobile and laptop once you register them. Our classrooms are good. You can use the library. Books are provided.
Faculty: Our teachers are helpful. You will have to manage yourself. Everything depends on self-study. The semester exams are strictly enforced. Practical knowledge is given in our college. Our teachers are highly qualified. They are knowledgeable. They provide notes for students.
Other: Our college organises events and festivals. There are clubs in which you can participate.

An honest review of Chaibasa Engineering College: pros, cons and everything in between.
Placements: The placement rate at our college declined after the 2021 passing batch. There are not more than 2 to 3 companies visiting our college. The placement rate is less than 30–40% via on-campus placements. The highest placement offered is 4.5 LPA, and the lowest is 2 LPA.
Infrastructure: The hostel's facilities are improving day by day. There is a 24-hour wi-fi facility for college students. The library is very useful for course books. The labs are very good. The quality of the food needs to be improved; it is below average. There is no playground inside the college.
Faculty: There is a lack of teaching staff. The teachers are not well qualified; expect 2-3 teachers. The course curriculum is relevant after the first year. The semester exams are not that difficult. The passing percentage is more than 85%. The course subjects are often asked in interviews.
Other: I chose this course because it is an in-demand course. After completing the course, there are many more opportunities. CEC organizes one of the biggest cultural festivals in Jharkhand.
