Cheran College of Nursing Courses & Fees 2024

To be eligible for admission to the BSc programme at Cheran College of Nursing, candidates are required to meet the following criteria:

• Successful completion of the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) or an equivalent examination.
• Attainment of a minimum aggregate of 45% in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English in the qualifying examination. However, for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC) or Scheduled Tribes (ST), not less than 40% aggregate is essential.
• The candidate must have reached 17 years of age on or before the 31st of December in the admission year. This age requirement is a crucial factor for eligibility consideration in the BSc Nursing programme at Cheran College.

Cheran College of Nursing offers the following courses:

1. MSc Nursing:

   • Eligibility: Candidates should be registered with the State Registration Council of Nursing and Midwifery. B.Sc. Nursing graduates need one year of experience in a hospital or a Nursing College, School, or a Community Health Programme after registration in the State Nursing Council. Minimum one year of work experience is required before or after Post Basic B.Sc Nursing. Male candidates should have passed any other course recommended by the Indian Nursing Council in place of Midwifery. Those who have studied Midwifery are eligible for admission to Branch III and IV. Submission of a Medical Fitness certificate to the institution's Principal is mandatory.

2. BSc Nursing:

   • Eligibility: Candidates must fulfill the specified age requirement on or before December 31st of the admission year.

The M.Sc. Nursing programme at Cheran College is a two-year postgraduate-level course designed to cater to the field of Nursing and Applied Sciences. It aims to provide advanced education and skills to individuals pursuing a career in nursing

Candidates applying for the M.Sc. Nursing programme at Cheran College are required to be registered with the State Registration Council of Nursing and Midwifery. Additionally, B.Sc. Nursing Graduates should have a minimum of one year of practical experience in a hospital, College, School of Nursing, or a Community Health Programme after their registration with the State Nursing Council. It is essential to have a minimum of one year of work experience either before or after completing the Post Basic B.Sc Nursing. Male candidates are required to pass an alternative course recommended by the Indian Nursing Council in lieu of Midwifery.
