Q:   Can I get into Chettinad Academy of Research and Education with 70% in class 12th?

A:

The admission process at Chettinad Academy of Research and Education (CARE) is competitive and requires a strong academic record. A score of 70% in class 12th is considered a below-average score, and it may not be sufficient to secure admission into all programs. However, the specific cutoff for each programme will vary depending on a number of factors, including the number of applications, the overall quality of the applicant pool, and the availability of seats.

Here are some factors that may increase your chances of admission with a score of 70% in class 12th:

  • Considering a less competitive program: If you are interested in pursuing a less competitive program, such as one with lower cutoffs, you may have a better chance of admission with a score of 70% in class 12th.
  • Demonstrating strong extracurricular activities: Participating in extracurricular activities, such as sports, clubs, or volunteer work, can demonstrate your commitment to personal growth and development, which may be considered favorably by admissions committees.

This college is a good college.
Placements: My college has the basic strength of a law college, and provides scholarship seats based on percentage. They also provide placements in top firms, which makes our career path easier. In fact, 70% of students secured internships in top firms. This college will help us in fixing goals.
Infrastructure: The college provides good sources to improve students' academics. My mentors were very helpful, not only in making my work perfect, but also in my extracurricular activities. The hostel was good, but the food was not good.
Faculty: Teachers were really helpful in clearing doubts and teaching. They also helped us in every possible way to make us grow in our field. They provided us internships to improve our practical knowledge and learn more about law and its execution in society.
Other: I was really interested in studying law. Law is an extraordinary course that helps people deal with society and make themselves raise their voices against injustice.

A good dental college to join.
Placements: It is a professional college. So the students can expect to be well trained enough to start a clinic. The internship training in the college is also good. In my batch, all the seats were filled. The college has two different quotas: management and government. The fees for government quota is less. All the students can afford to do internship in the college for free, no stipend will be given.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is top-notch. All the lecture halls are fully air-conditioned. The labs have all the facilities. The college has lift and escalator services and cycles to travel to the nearby places. The hostel has all the facilities. Food quality is good in hostel and in the college canteen.
Faculty: All the faculty members are highly qualified. The curriculum is finished on time and many exams are conducted from time to time. Co-curricular activities are conducted often with prizes. Students can expect to be ready for the profession by the time they finish the college.
Other: BDS is a professional course. The campus crowd is good. College is situated in the outer regions of Chennai, so if you want to travel to the college by public transportation, bus is the only option. Metro will be available till Siruseri in the next four years. Many inter-college programs are also conducted.

Review about Chettinad Hospital and Research Institute.
Placements: In this college, they provide internships in their own multispecialty hospital, or they tie up with many clinics and hospitals for our internships. They give placements after completing the course, which studies the human anatomy, body issues, and organs, and they place students in famous clinics.
Infrastructure: Our college has great infrastructure and many facilities for sports. The college has an indoor stadium and outdoor stadium, giving importance to sports like hockey, basketball, football, cricket, badminton, table tennis, and handball.
Faculty: They have appointed experienced and skilled, well-trained faculty members in our college for our exposure. They conduct semester exams twice a year, and they are very strict, with CCTV surveillance in the exam hall.
Other: They provide excellent exposure for us and high-quality physiotherapy equipment for student training in our hospital.

It is a good college with good curriculum.
Placements: Placements depend on your knowledge because the patient inflow is less so that you may not get much of clinical experience. But other than that the teaching style is good because of the competency-based education it changed. It is clear and easy to understand.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is not much good. They have a huge campus, but half of it is covered by hospital and dental college. Surroundings are also good as it is located on the outskirts of the city. We have a good library and labs.
Faculty: Teaching in our college is good, and they conduct tests. The teaching and technical staffs are good. They try to make everyone understand the concept with cadavers bones, etc. There are fewer cadavers, so we found it hard to understand the concepts.

It is a very good college with excellent faculty members and infrastructure.
Placements: Around 90% of the students got placements in different sectors. Most of them got placed in the hospital sector. In some particular departments, students are able to work in the hospital sector and some companies. They are offering a specialist job in companies. We can also work as a tutor too.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is excellent. We have very good Wi-Fi connections, lab facilities, spacious classroom with a central library. They also provide indoor and outdoor facilities. The hostel has spacious and ventilated rooms. They serve both vegetarian and non-vegetarian foods, and they are clean and fresh. Sports are encouraged in our college.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are helpful, qualified and well-knowledgeable. Most of the classes are taken by experienced doctors only. The teaching quality is also excellent. This course curriculum is relevant.
Other: I chose this course because it is new to me. We can learn many things in medicine. For this course, they allot limited seats only. They conduct events and college fest every year.
