Commonly asked questions
On JEE Main Cutoffs

Q:   What to do after JEE Main session 2 result?

A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice.

Don't take admission in this college .
Placements: There are no placements or any help with getting placed. It's a bad experience with this college regarding placements. They bring companies, but those companies ask for fees and offer nothing in return.
Infrastructure: The facilities provided by the college are bad. The benches are uncomfortable for writing, and the electricity cuts out during exams, which is very disturbing. Practical and practical exams are not conducted properly. The computers don't work, and they don't conduct any practicals in the lab.
Faculty: Not all teachers are helpful. Regarding exams, they don't allow students to take the exam if they haven't paid the full fees, even though they said before admission that fees could be paid in installments. They remove students from exams and don't allow them to take unit tests if fees are not paid, marking them as absent. It's a very bad experience.
Other: The infrastructure of this college is not good. They don't conduct any practicals, even though every other engineering college does. The computers don't work, so students can't do practicals. In practical exams, they just make us write code on paper. It's a very bad experience. This college has many issues; they only care about fees and charges and don't worry about the future of students.

Reviewing Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Institute of Technology, Mumbai University.
Placements: Good placements are provided by the college. Many named companies visit our college to take the students for their companies by first interviewing them, and based on their performances, decide their posts and packages. The minimum package ranges from 5 to 6 Lacs per annum.
Infrastructure: The college hostel services are average because it costs more than we except. As the college is located near the highway, very few students come from long distances to take admission here. So if you are planning to take an admission in this college, you should take the hostel facilities.
Faculty: The faculty of this college includes the Principal, the HOD and other teaching staff. They are helpful in doubts solving and the teaching experience of all the teachers is multiple years. Every teacher is helpfully. During exams, there is strict checking of the students and the class benches. The curriculum is sent to the students on the group three days before the exams informing them about their seat numbers.

Faculty are Very Well and good. Placement chances are low.
Placements: The placement percentage is very low, and only a few companies visit for recruitment. Therefore, it is essential to have a good GPA to increase the chances of being hired and sitting for campus placements. So maintaining a good CGPA is good for students to take advantage of campus placements.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of the college is above average and looks like old-time hostel rooms. But hostels are okay. However, the mess and canteen food are not tasty and are tasteless. The other canteens of the college are good and serve good food of quality. Bathrooms of our college are also not good.
Faculty: Teachers or professors of our college are well-educated and give good knowledge, but some new teachers are normally poor in terms of knowledge. Because they are young and have no more experience in training engineering students. The curriculum is also above average in college.
Other: I will choose the course because I have interest in computers, coding, parts of computers, and technology, etc. In college, there is a need for new computer devices because currently, the computers in college are very slow and not working well. That's the low point of the computer engineering course. Events and festivals celebrated on campus are good and average. Scholarships are also provided to students, with information given by Nutan sir.

I think my college is good enough.
Placements: Maximus 90% students where placed in my course For my course mechanical engineering the highest is 12k to 15k Didn't came yet no placement for mechanical still now I have done internship in royal enfield by my own from my college no one getting internship The roll offered in my course is bad because I don't have roles they are only teaching us about book knowledge that's it not teaching skills etc.
Infrastructure: We have library and labs and classroom. I don't know about hostel but food is not that good average sport and game are average not too good I was playing football in sports day the quality of food is average medical facilities I don't know about it mess and canteen are closed now and shifted to somewhere else .
Faculty: Teacher are good they help us. No the course don't make us industry ready because all book knowledge nothing else. Many students get pass it's good because checking of paper is light here not too strict. I think out of 140 students in mechanical 40 to 50 are getting kt like in one or 2 subject.
Other: I have completed my Diploma in mechanical so I need to complete it in mechanical only so I have taken mechanical engineering and my course is best because we can go in any field we want like piping etc. I basically think to improve our course college must teach us skill instead of book knowledge skill which are use in industry Event in my college are very less so no issues .

A struggle to improve the College
Placements: The placement cell is still improving and trying to come up for the benefit of students, soon the quality might increase. Teachers and the principal are very transparent about the placement cell. Their service is see-through for students without any shady activity.
Infrastructure: There need some upgrades due to constant light issues. The hostels are pretty lavish, classrooms are kept clean and well-lit, and the library system is the best here. Canteens are pretty great but if you are a non-veg person you might not like it here. Canteens serve pure vegetarian foods. You can bring a non-veg meal and have it in the canteen though.
Faculty: The teachers are cooperative and the Principal is very friendly too. The exams are conducted strictly without students being able to cheat. If you're an expert you might be able to cheat though. We are provided with qualified teachers with a better doubt-solving mindset, students are considered important by them.
