    Q:   Is Christ Church College good for B.Com?

    A:
    {Source: B.Com students & alumni}

    Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's what you can expect:

    Infrastructure: Average. The college buildings are old, and some facilities may require renovation. While there is a nice church and a library, there is no hostel facility or canteen.

    Teaching Quality: Good. Teachers are generally well-qualified, experienced, and helpful. They explain concepts clearly and interactively.

    Course Curriculum: Relevant, but could be updated. The course covers core commerce subjects, but some students feel it's outdated and doesn't prepare them adequately for industry expectations.

    Placement Opportunities: Limited. Unfortunately, the college doesn't have a strong placement record, especially for B.Com students. Few companies visit the campus, and salaries are relatively low (average of INR2.5 Lacs per annum).

    Extra-Curricular Activities: Limited. While there are some sports and cultural events organized, these seem limited in scope and scale.

    Facilities: Limited. The college lacks modern infrastructure, including IT facilities, and some amenities are outdated.

    In summary, while Christ Church College might be a good choice for someone interested in commerce, it may not provide the best placement opportunities or overall college experience. Students should weigh their options carefully before making a decision.

    Q:   Question: How is the course curriculum for B.Com at Christ Church College?

    A:
    {Source: B.Com students & alumni}

    Course Curriculum at Christ Church College

    * Relevance: The curriculum is relevant to the course and makes students well-informed about commerce, business, and trade (Student 14).
    * Teaching Quality: Teachers are well-qualified, knowledgeable, and helpful, making learning easier (Students 16, 22). They clear all doubts efficiently and provide quality education (Student 25).
    * Curriculum Design: The course curriculum is designed to cover every topic necessary for a student to gain knowledge (Student 20).

    However, it's worth noting that the curriculum may not make students fully industry-ready, especially for those not pursuing further education (Students 13, 24). Additionally, there seems to be limited emphasis on practical knowledge and internship opportunities within the course (Students 17, 23).

    Remember, these points are based on the reviews provided by students and alumni, and the curriculum might have changed since the reviews were written.

    Q:   How successful is the placement cell in securing jobs for B.Com students at Christ Church College?

    A:
    {Source: B.Com students & alumni}

    Success Rate of Placement Cell in Securing Jobs for B.Com Students at Christ Church College

    Unfortunately, the placement cell at Christ Church College faces several challenges in securing jobs for its B.Com students. According to the students' reviews:

    * "Placement cell is average here.not many companies visit this college." - Student
    * ".placement process is rather slow and not everybody gets placed.not many companies visit the college." - Alumni
    * ".companies prefer to recruit students from private colleges, so they hardly participate in the placement camps." - Student
    * ".placements were not provided in this college.if we opt for Ph.D., then we were eligible for on-campus placements, but there were no placements for bachelor's students." - Alumni

    As a result, the overall performance of the placement cell in securing jobs for B.Com students at Christ Church College appears to be subpar. While the college does organize placement camps, the response from companies is limited, making it challenging for students to secure employment opportunities after graduating.

    Christ church college review.
    Placements: There is no placement at the college. Students need to focus on other things than college for placements or jobs like CS, CA, or other professional courses, CAT, other management courses, or other government exams. They don't provide placements or very low packages.
    Infrastructure: There is no hostel facility at the college. Infrastructure is average. Not like other top colleges. It's average, but okay. No AC classrooms. There is no AC library. Playground is not in college. It's somewhere else. The college building is pretty but small. It has a GCR.
    Faculty: The facilities are good. They help students. Some are not concerned. But others help a lot. They focus on the college circular only and have no other knowledge. They should add some other knowledgeable things for the students too. Students here don't come to college regularly.

    It is a good college for those who want to do their graduation side by side with other studies.
    Placements: Placements are average, but they are good compared to Kanpur University. Students with more than 70% are eligible for placements, but only two or three students get selected. Placements are offered through Kanpur University.
    Infrastructure: Some facilities are good, and some are bad as usual. The infrastructure looks good from the outside, but there is a need to replace those old tables, chairs, and podiums. The playground is situated in the cantonment area.
    Faculty: Faculty members are good, helpful, and qualified. The teaching quality is average. The course curriculum is relevant, but it does not make students ready for the industry. Semester exams are quite typical for some subjects. The passing percentage is 33%.
    Other: I opted for this course as a side course while I am pursuing my CA.

    About my famous college in Kanpur.
    Placements: The average package offered is around 2-3 LPA, which is not very good, just average. For internships, the percentage is about 60-70%. However, there are many students in this course. In my batch, there are 350 students, and more than 1,000 students are pursuing different courses in the college.
    Infrastructure: There is no Wi-Fi, and borrowing books from the library involves a lot of paperwork, like getting signatures from different teachers. Students can only borrow one book at a time. Sports and medical facilities are good, and the canteen is okay, but it doesn’t have many items available.
    Faculty: The faculty and teachers are helpful and qualified. Semester exams are conducted on time and are not very difficult for those who study well. Teachers explain everything before exams, so the teaching quality is good. This course is helpful for commerce students.
    Other: I chose this course because I am from a commerce background. However, I hope the college improves its events and fest activities. Also, there should be better information about scholarships, as currently, no details are provided.

    Good college if you are pursuing a professional course along with your Bachelors or Masters.
    Placements: The placement process is rather slow and not every body gets placed. Not many companies visit the college and the one's that do donot give a decent package. Most students are not informed about the placement cell and have no knowledge about placements happening in the college.
    Infrastructure: The classrooms here smells really bad. There is not enough lighting and air conditioning is absent. The classrooms looks dull and gloomy. There are however sports team, NCC camps in which you can participate. There are also extra curricular activities taking place throughout the academic year.
    Faculty: The teachers however are really helpful and humble. Their way of teaching is superb and one can easily understand the topics taught by them. They are well versed with the topics and are always ready to take your doubts. They are really strict about the curriculum.
    Other: I only chose the college because it is one of the best government colleges in Kanpur.

    It is the best college for students who study hard, and has good infrastructure.
    Placements: It is a government college. Placements were not provided in this college. But if you opt for Ph.D., you are eligible for on-campus placements. But there were no placements for students doing bachelor's.
    Infrastructure: It is one of the oldest colleges in Kanpur. Our campus was beautiful. Library and laboratories were properly maintained. Canteen and hostel facilities were provided in this college. Medical facilities were also available.
    Faculty: Our faculty members were best as compared to other colleges. There was workload for students which was not easy to handle but it makes students ready for the industry. If students cope up with this workload, they can become perfect for off-campus placements.
    Other: I opted for this course because of my interest in it. This course teaches us a lot of things. The college life was also good.

    I recommend joining this college.
    Placements: Almost 65–70% of students got placed in our course. The lowest salary offered was Rs.15,000 per month and the highest salary offered was Rs. 30,000 per month. Almost 60% of students got internships from this course. Top roles offered in our course are assistant, accountant, and manager.
    Infrastructure: Christ Church is a well-established college with good infrastructure, security, and facilities. Our college has labs, classrooms, and a library. The canteen food is good. Medical facilities are excellent. The sports department is also good.
    Faculty: Faculty members in our college are very knowledgeable, educated, and experienced. They are very helpful and put a good effort into teaching us. This course curriculum is relevant and makes students well informed about commerce, business, and trade. Semester exams are quite moderate. The passing percentage is 65-70%.
    Other: I chose this course as I wanted to develop knowledge about commerce and its related subjects. I wanted to improve my communication skills in English.
