Graduate Aptitude Test (GATE) : GATE exam is conducted by the seven IIT's along with IISc Bengaluru and its score is also considered for admissions in various universities and IIT's for Master's degree.
Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) : TANCET is conducted by the state government of Tamil Nadu. Students who qualify in the TANCET exam get admission to over 200 affiliated colleges in Tamil Nadu.

As of now, the college has released the placement percentage for the 2023 drive. As per the annual report 2022-23, 75% of the batch was placed during CMS College of Science and Commerce placements 2023.

The CMS College of Science and Commerce has also released the combined placement stats from 2014 to 2019. Over 5,942 students graduated in these years. Out of these, 4,774 students participated in the recruitment drive and 3,992 students were placed from CMS College of Science and Commerce placements from 2014 to 2019. Has a really good infrastructure and a peaceful environment.

Placements: Out of 22 students 6 of them were placed in well known companies. The highest package offered for M.Sc. Biotech is 40,000rs per month and the lowest is about 10,000rs per month. One of the top recruiting company is zifo located in Chennai. Edumatics also recruits students from this course. About 50-60%of the students enrolled as interns under zifo and edumatics. Top rolls offered are fellow researcher, molecular biologist, quality analyst etc.

Infrastructure: Cms college of Science and Commerce provides has a spacious and nature friendly infrastructure. Classrooms are well lit and spacious with projector facilities. Labs are well-equipped and kept clean. Books of all departments are available in the college library. Girls hostel is located 4-5kms outside of the college campus. Safe and 24hour security. Each room consists of 4girls with common bathroom for each floor. Food provided is of good quality, non veg are available 2 times a week. Medical facilities are not available inside the hostel (private hospitals nearby). Sports and games are not supported inside the hostel. Boys hostel located inside the college campus also has similar features.

Faculty: The teachers are well qualified and knowledgeable in their subjects. The teaching quality varies with different teachers. But overall teaching quality is quite acceptable. Yes, this course is very much curriculum relevent and ready the students to face all the circumstances needed in a workspace. Semester exams are held on time. The difficulty level of the exams are average. Pass percentage is 40 for a semester exam.

Other: I chose this course as I am curious about different forms of life. The best thing about this course is that you are open to work at any life Science industry. Students involvement in the college events can be improved.

Other: In this college there should be no confusion in joining. Environment is educational friendly. Faculties are very helpful. There is no extra burden on the students. Hostel facility is also nice. Campus selection is better as compared to other colleges. There are placement of companies like tcs, Wipro, hp, dicom, Infosys cognizant and many more. Over all it is a good place for students.
