Our college COER is one of the tier 2 college which is pretty good and better than the other college

Placements: Placements in COER college is not so bad. Our seniors get placed in various companies such as BARC, WIPRO, TATA steels, ONGC, etc. And many seniors have cleared GATE examination with good ranks. The highest package in our college is 15 Lacs per annum but percentage of students getting placed is somehow low.

Review of COER - College of Engineering Roorkee.

Placements: Placements in our college are good. The average salary package offered is 4.5 LPA, and the package just gets higher as more companies visit the campus for placements. Top companies like TCS, Amazon, Infosys, HCL, Wipro, etc., visit our campus for placements. The college has a placement rate of almost 99%, which is very good for every student as everyone has an equal chance to get prepared for placements. Placements are better if the students are hardworking.

It is a top 5 college in Uttarakhand.

Placements: There are various companies visit the campus, but most are from the IT sector and core sector. There are only a few companies which visit, but I think this is the case with most of the colleges, so it doesn't matter that much overall the college is good, but I will prefer to opt for CS and IT.

The college is good for studying because of its good facilities and good placements.

Placements: Placements are average for the students of the civil engineering department. About 30%-40% of the students get placed every year. The average salary offered is about Rs. 15,000 per month, but the packages offered for other branches are high. Many companies visit the campus for placements, so the placement chances are high. However, placements also depend on the skills of students.

Joining this college is the only mistake of my life.

Placements: The placement rate was less than 10% for our batch and our senior batches. The highest package offered was 6 LPA, and the lowest package offered was 1.8 LPA. Companies recruited students on a contract basis. Companies that visited the campus were not worth mentioning. All the companies were from the software sector. Less than 1% of the students were offered internships. The placement cell was poor. They cared more about students working for the placement committee.

The faculty are good but placements are the worst.

Placements: Placements are not appreciable. In my BBA batch, no one got placed, but if I'm talking about MBA & B.Tech, there are some good placements. Although COER had good placement record 3 years ago, the current scenario is the worst. Only a few companies visit the college.

Earlier placements were good, but now, the placements are not good.

Placements: Placements in the college are average for CS/IT branch students, but for other branches, hardly one or two companies visit the campus. Even CS/IT based companies offer low salary packages, and that is around 2 LPA to 3 LPA. Some students got higher packages on the basis of their skills and learning. The college should invite big MNCs and give a chance to students.

Placements: The placements in our college are good. Especially for mechanical and civil departments, a lot of companies visit the college for the placements. For CS and IT, the placements are fine. I think the placements will be increased in the future as the college is working over it.
