Top recruiting companies like Amul, Tata Tea, etc., visit our campus. Almost 50% of students get internships.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available. Labs, classrooms, smart classrooms, and libraries are available. There is a canteen and an auditorium. Our college provides good infrastructure. Faculty: Our teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. They are humble, kind, helpful, and strict. The course curriculum is relevant. The course makes students industry-ready, and they try to develop many skills. The pass percentage is 90%.
Other: I chose this course because agriculture is the fastest-growing sector in our country. Placements should be better because they are not regular every year. Events and fests are excellent. Scholarships are available. Games, sports, and extracurricular activities are held.

B.Sc. (Hons.) in Agriculture (Agricultural Biotechnology) - Batch of 2027

Good faculty members and extra curriculum activities are best .
Placements: There are approximately 160 students in our batch, out of which a few students are given placements. Different companies are associated with the university to provide placement opportunities for graduates. From the 7th semester, students are required to do an internship; they are provided with 1.8LPA for a semester for RAWE (Rural Agricultural Work Experience) and the other semester is for ELP (Extended Learning Program), where we can choose either horticulture, animal husbandry, or tea.
Infrastructure: The departments are quite good; some of the departments are better than others. Some need renovation, while some are provided with maximum utilities. For example, the common theory classrooms are well-equipped with ACs, digital boards, and fans. Regarding the hostel, there are many hostels on our campus, but the hostel I’m staying in right now is very old and probably needs renovation. The walls and floors shake with the weight of just a few people walking. Also, there was a major issue with the water in our hostel—it was really dirty, but the Dean recently fixed that issue. Additionally, there is only one water purifier for more than 100 boarders. Otherwise, everything is just fine, but they tend to take in more boarders than they can accommodate.
Faculty: The teachers are really good and qualified. The students learn properly from them, except there are some teachers who are not good at teaching. However, they do try their best, so it's fine. Additionally, it's easy to approach the teachers, which makes it easier for students.
Other: The events and extracurricular activities are the best on this campus. This course is also excellent if you want to enjoy your life while studying, as it provides exposure to the outside world.

Overall Assam Agricultural University is a good institute with all high-class facilities.
Placements: AAU provides good job opportunities. Almost 80% of students got placements in both government and private sectors. They are offered average salary packages and different posts. They are offered roles of subject matter specialist in KVKs. Various private companies and NGOs offer placements. There is a placement cell in our college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is very good. Classrooms are well developed equipped with all facilities. There are Wi-Fi facilities in the hostels. Labs are highly facilitated. The library is huge, and all the facilities are available in the library. Canteen is good and clean, and the food and water served are hygienic. There is a large playground where various sports are conducted. There is a volleyball court. The indoor stadium is huge. Gymnasium facilities are available here. Hostel rooms are very nice.
Faculty: There are various courses related to agricultural sciences. Professors in our college are highly qualified and helpful. The quality of teaching is very good. The teaching method used by them is very good. Students are sent to different villages for a period of about 4 months in B.Sc. to learn and interact with farmers about various new technologies used in agriculture. The course curriculum is very good. It helps us to know our agriculture sector more widely.

Good but not the best to choose from.
Placements: No campus placement. Still there many applications form private companies. Training and placement cell is present but not properly functional. Private companies like fertilizer companies mostly send various applications for posts which is a good option indeed.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is well maintained in almost all the aspects. Classrooms are well-equipped with all smart facilities. Labs are up to date. Hostels are well maintained and the environment around the campus is quite natural too. Overall infrastructure is indeed very good.
Faculty: Courses are vast and covers wide syllabus. Certain changes in the curriculum is needed. Students need to cover a large number of topics over a single semester and then continue with the other activities simultaneously too. Recent 5th dean committee have been made but changes are yet to be seen.

I am satisfied and enjoying my college life with all the facilities, faculty and placements.
Placements: Placements are quite impressive. Many of my seniors got placed in various agricultural fields like agricultural development officers, subject matter specialist and agri field officer in Krishi Vigyan Kendras. Maximum of them got good salary packages of the graduate level. Undergraduate students have an internship programme in various tea gardens and KVKs.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is awesome. Hostel facilities are good. The campus is Wi-Fi enabled. Hi-tech labs are available. It has the 2nd largest library in Assam. Classrooms are smart and air-conditioned. The canteen offers a wide range of food items including North Indian, South Indian and all sorts of fast foods. The campus has a swimming pool and a class-A type gym for both male and female students.
Faculty: Teachers are very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Teaching quality depends on how you attend the class, Both English and Assamese languages are used to teach in class for a better understanding to all students. Industry exposure is provided when you take tea husbandry and technology programme in the course curriculum.
Other: Aventine is the name of our annual college fest. An inter-college meet is held every year. Scholarships are provided according to the merits of students.
