ICAR AIEEA 2025 Notification will be out in January 2025, tentatively for the ICAR AIEEA 2025 Registration. The ICAR AIEEA 2025 Exam date will be released in June month, 2025, tentatively. The ICAR AIEEA exam conducting authority National Testing Agency (NTA) will tentatively release the ICAR AIEEA 2025 Application Form in April 2025. The Indian Council of Agricultural Research All India Entrance Examination for Admission (ICAR AIEEA) 2025 is anticipated to be scheduled in June 2025 for UG & PG courses. 

As per the ICAR AIEEA eligibility criteria 2025, a candidate must graduate with a specific degree, depending on the course. The General, OBC, UPS, and EWS categories all required a minimum score of 60 per cent. A minimum of 55 per cent was required for the ST/SC and PwD categories. The end date to submit the ICAR AIEEA Application Form 2025 is tentative for the first week of May 2025. ICAR AIEEA 2025 Application Form will be released on the official website of NTA. What is ICAR AIEEA PG Exam?

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is the conducting body of the ICAR AIEEA Exam which is a national-level exam. The ICAR AIEEA Exam 2025 is a computer-based exam for candidates who wish to pursue master's programmes in various agriculture universities in India. Candidates who appear for this exam aim to get one out of the 30 per cent seats in Master's degree programmes in agriculture universities like the Central Institute of Fisheries Education (CIFE), Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI), and National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI). 

Students from a different state from a particular category and subject to any agriculture university were also allowed but till 40 per per cent only. For candidates who wish to qualify ICAR AIEEA  2025 Exam to study PG programmes, it is necessary to get admission through the ICAR exam because there is no other provision for direct nomination to get admission.

The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) has entrusted the responsibility of conducting All India Competitive Examinations for admission to Bachelor (UG), Masters (PG) & Doctoral (Ph.D.) Courses in Agricultural Universities (AUs) and award of scholarships & fellowships, to the NTA from 2019 onwards.

Students for 30 percent of seats in Master's degree programmes in AUs are admitted through AIEEA (PG). All (100 per cent) seats of the four ICAR-DUs namely, Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI), National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI) and the Central Institute of Fisheries Education (CIFE) and CAUs, viz. RLBCAU, Jhansi and Dr RPCAU, Pusa are also filled up through the same examination.

Q:   When will ICAR AIEEA PG 2024 notification be out?

A:

The notification of ICAR AIEEA PG 2024 exam was released on April 11, 2024. Along with the release of the notification, the authorities also released the application window to fill the form. 

The application form will be filled in online mode. After filling the form students need to pay the application fees also.

Q:   On what criteria are scholarships awarded to PG students through ICAR AIEEA examination?

A:

For postgraduate studies, the ICARPG Scholarship shall be awarded to limited candidates based on merit in this examination as per their overall merit rank and seat availability in different disciplines. Also, the eligible admitted students may be awarded NTS(PG).

Q:   What to do if question paper appear on my screen is different than the subject opted by me for ICAR AIEEA PG exam?

A:

Applicants who face issue that different question paper is displayed on their computer screen in the examination, then they need not worry and immediately inform the investigator or the superviosr who has duty in the exam hall. 

The authority will do the needful to get this issue rectified ASAP. In case if the question paper starts then applicants need to ask for more time from the authority and complete the paper as per time allotted.

Q:   Is there a direct way to apply for Masters degree at ICAR without appearing in AIEEA examination?

A:

There is no provision for direct nomination for admission through ICAR in any Master’s degree programme without qualifying in the ICAR AIEEA (PG) examination.

ICAR AIEEA PG 2025 Result

The ICAR AIEEA 2025 Result will be published in online mode on the official site. The exam conducting authorities will prepare an overall Merit/Rank list separately for every major subject. 

If two students score the same marks in the exam then their ICAR AIEEA PG merit will be decided in the following order: 

(1) the student scoring less negative scores will be rated higher in merit. 

(2) the candidate higher in age would be rated higher in merit. 

(3) the student with the higher score in percentage/CGPA in the class 12th exam would be rated higher in merit.

Q:   What is the age limit to appear in ICAR AIEEA exam?

A:

Candidates who are Indian Nationals and are not below 19 years as of August 31, 2025, are eligible to appear in the examination. No relaxation is permissible regarding the minimum age limit.

Q:   What documents are needed to be carried while reporting to allotted university in ICAR AIEEA counselling?

A:

Candidates reporting for admission through ICAR AIEEA Exam, to the allotted university must have final year/final semester results in hand indicating final OGPA/CGPA or final percentage of marks where grade points are not awarded. Candidates will be required to produce a Provisional Degree Certificate (PDC) /Degree certificate of qualifying graduate examination issued by the university for this purpose. The candidates should note that the university may deny admission in case the PDC is not produced at the time of verification during counselling. No correspondence shall be entertained by the Council in this regard.

Q:   What is the minimum qualification for in-service candidates to get admission through ICAR AIEEA?

A:

The in-service candidates will qualify for admission only if they come in the overall merit list of their concerned Subjects and produce the Sponsorship Certificate/Declaration by their employer for verification at the time of counselling. 

  • The in-service candidates must be working in ICAR Institutes, ICAR-DUs, SAUs, CAUs, CUs having faculty of agriculture, Central Government/State Government Departments dealing in Agriculture and Allied Sectors and Public Sector Undertakings dealing with Agriculture and Allied Sectors.

  • The in-service candidates qualifying for admission will arrange for study leave/leave of the kind due from their respective organizations themselves and ICAR will not intervene in this regard.

  • In-service candidates must retain the computer generated hard copy of confirmation page of the application along with Sponsorship Certificate, in original, for showing to the university officials in the event of their qualifying the examination and recommendation for admission to the concerned university. 

  • In no case, the computer-generated hard copy of confirmation page of the application and Sponsorship Certificate (Declaration by the employer)should be sent by the candidate either to NTA or ICAR. 

  • The counselling of in-service candidates seeking admission on seats reserved for the purpose at ICAR-DUs (ICAR-IARI, ICAR-IVRI, ICAR-NDRI and ICAR-CIFE) will be done at respective ICARDU level only. Such candidates are, therefore, advised to remain in touch with the respective ICAR-DU’s website for further details such as no. ofseats, eligibility requirements, counselling schedule, etc.

Q:   How many cities a candidate can select while filling out their choice of exam centre for ICAR AIEEA exam 2025?

While applying, candidates have to select any four cities of their choice for ICAR AIEEA 2025. The efforts will be made to allot the city of examination to the candidates in order of the choice opted by them in their ICAR AIEEA 2025 application form. However, due to administrative reasons, a different city or nearby area may be allotted.

Candidates must check the ICAR AIEEA 2025 syllabus who will appear in the ICAR AIEEA exam before exam day. The syllabus for both exams, NEET and ICAR is the same because both classes 11 and 12 syllabus is included for these entrance exam preparation . There is only one difference and that is the exam pattern. However, with practice one should be able to crack both exams.

ICAR AIEEA PG 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Students who want to appear in the ICAR AIEEA PG 2025 exam, must ensure that he/she fulfils the eligibility criteria for the exam. If a candidate fails to the eligibility criteria or document needed at the time of the counselling process, it can lead to the rejection of the candidature of the applicant. 

ICAR AIEEA PG Education Wise Eligibility Criteria  

Candidate should note that for admission to Master’s degree programmes through the entrance exam conducted by NTA, only the candidates who have passed graduation with four/six (12+4/10+6 B.Sc. Ag./B.Tech.) / five years (B.V.Sc. & AH) / 5½ years (B.V.Sc. & AH) degree programme will be eligible. 

Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree with a 3-year duration will not be considered for admission through ICAR AIEEA PG in AUs under the ICAR-AU system except in a few courses at two ICAR-Deemed Universities (DUs), viz. IARI and NDRI for which the eligibility criteria of the concerned ICAR-DU, including admission of graduates having passed with 3 years’ degree, would prevail for admission.  

ICAR AIEEA PG Age Wise Eligibility Criteria

Applicants who have Indian citizenship and have a minimum age of 19 years are eligible to appear in the examination. No relaxation is permissible regarding the minimum age limit.

Q:   What happens if a degree from a particular college/university is not recognised by VCI/UGC or due for any Court directives?

A:

In case any degree from a particular college/university is not considered for admission by an Agricultural University on account of a particular college/university being derecognized by VCI/UGC, or due to any Court directives (present or future), ICAR will not be responsible for admitting students of that college/university in the Universities not willing to admit such candidates.

Q:   What is the pattern for ICAR AIEEA exam?

A:

The test of AIEEA has a single paper of 2 hours duration. Details of the test are given below:

The marking scheme of ICAR AIEEA PG exam includes the applicability of negative marking. For each correct answers students will be awarded 4 marks

While penality of 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer. 

There is no penality or reward for the questions which will be left un attempted in the ICAR AIEEA PG 2024 exam.

Q:   Is there any negative marking in ICAR AIEEA PG exam?

Yes, the negative marking scheme is applicable in ICAR AIEEA PG exam. Applicants who want to appear in the exam must note that for each correct answer students will be awarded 4 marks while for each wrong answer 1 mark will be deducted. 

If any applicants attempt 4 wrong questions then 4 mark of their one correct answer will be deducted. And overall 5 questions will not carry any marks hence it is advisable to attempt only those questions in which applicants is sure enough or elese leave the questions.

Q:   What is the test format of ICAR AIEEA PG 2024 Exam?

There will be a total of 120 questions which will be asked in the ICAR AIEEA PG exam. The time allotted to attempt these 120 questions is 120 minutes or 2 hours.

National Test Agency is the exam conducting authority and its scope is restricted to conducting the examination and declaration of the Result /Merit List as per the measures defined. Students should know that they are restrained by the conditions as applied in this Information Bulletin as well as the Statutes, Notifications, Ordinances, Rules, Regulations and Guidelines of the admitting University / Deemed University / Institute, issued from time to time. The sole responsibility of the students is to ensure that they fulfil the defined eligibility before filling up the online application form and appearing in the examination.

Q:   What is the mode of ICAR AIEEA (PG) application process?

A:

The entire application process of AIEEA (PG) is online, including uploading of scanned images, Payment of Fees and Printing of Confirmation Page. Therefore, candidates are not required to send/submit any document(s) including a Confirmation Page, Sponsorship Certificate/ Declaration by the Employer of the Candidate (By In-Service Candidate) to NTA/ICAR through Post/ Fax/ E-mail/By Hand.

Q:   Is ICAR AIEEA application fee refundable?

A:

No request for refund of fee once remitted by the candidate will be entertained by NTA under any circumstances. The final submission of the Online Application Form will remain incomplete if a candidate does not submit the ICAR AIEEA Application fee. Such forms will stand rejected and no correspondence on this account will be entertained.

Q:   What are the must know guidelines to fill ICAR AIEEA application form?

A:

Here are the Instructions for filling Online Application Form:

Step 1: Apply for Online Registration using a unique Email ID and Mobile No.

Step 2: Fill in the Online Application Form and note down the system-generated Application No. Upload scanned images of the Candidate’s Photograph (file size: 10 kb - 200 kb), Candidate’s Signature (file size: 4 kb – 30 kb) and Thumb impression (file size: 3 kb-30 kb) in JPG format.

Step 3: Pay the fee using Canara/HDFC Payment Gateway through Debit Card/Credit Card/NetBanking/UPI and keep proof of fee paid. In case the Confirmation Page is not generated after payment of the fee then the transaction is cancelled, and the amount will be refunded to the candidate’s account. However, the candidate has to make another transaction, in case the Confirmation Page is not generated. 

 Note: All the 3 Steps can be done together or in separate sittings

Q:   What will happen if I enter incorrect details mistakenly in my ICAR AIEEA application form?

A:

Candidates should ensure that all information entered during the online registration process is correct because if the online information provided by candidates like name of candidate, contact/address details, category, PwBD status, educational qualification details, date of birth, etc., during online registration for AIEEA (PG) will be treated as correct/final and NTA will not entertain, under any circumstances, any request for change in the information provided by the candidates.

ICAR AIEEA PG 2025 Admit Card

The admit card for the ICAR AIEEA PG exam 2025 is released in online mode on the official website. Candidates can get access to their Hall Ticket by logging in with the registration credentials. The ICAR AIEEA PG admit card is a mandatory document that needs to be carried to the exam centre. The direct link to download the hall ticket or admit card will be available on this page when it is announced.

Q:   When will ICAR AIEEA PG admit card 2024 be released?

A:

The exam conducting authority National Testing Agency (NTA) released the official notification. The dates releated to release of application form, exam date were only mentioned in the official brochure. The admit card release date is not mentioned on the notiification.  

As per previous year trend the ICAR AIEEA PG 2024, admit card can be released on June 14, 2024 tentatively in online mode. It can be downloaded till June 29, 2024 which is also the exam date.

Q:   What documents are required to bring to the exam centre while appearing in ICAR AIEEA PG exam?

A:

Candidates MUST bring the following documents on the day of ICAR AIEEA PG exam at the test centre. 

  1. Print copy of Admit Card
  2. One passport size photograph (same as uploaded in application form)
  3.  Any one of the authorised Govt. photo IDs (original, valid and non-expired), viz. PAN card/ Driving License/ Voter ID/ Passport/ Aadhaar Card Ration Card.
  4. PwBD certificate issued by the Competent Authority, if claiming the relaxation under PwBD category. 

If any applicants fail to produce any of the above mentioned document then their candidature may be rejected at the examination hall.

ICAR AIEEA PG 2025 Test Centres

This year ICAR AIEEA PG exam will be held in 89 test cities across India. While filling out the application for the ICAR AIEEA PG exam, candidates have to select any four cities of their choice for AIEEA (PG)-2025. Authority will try initially to provide the city of examination to the candidates in order of the choice opted by them in their application form. However, due to administrative reasons, a different city or nearby area may be allotted. Once allotted, no request to change the exam centre will be entertained.

Q:   How many exam centres will be for ICAR AIEEA PG exam?

A:

The exact number of exam citites will be notified after the release of the notification. However last year ICAR AIEEA PG exam was conducted at 89 cities for the academic session 2023-24. 

NTA will increase or decrease the number of test centres as per the number of application recieved by the students. Applicants are advised to first check the official annexure abut their the nearest exam centres and fill in the application form accordingly.

Q:   Are diabatic students allowed to carry food items on the day of ICAR AIEEA exam?

A:

Diabetic students will be allowed to carry eatables like sugar tablets/fruits (like bananas/apples/oranges) and transparent water bottles to the Examination Hall. However, they will not be allowed to carry packed foods like chocolates/candy/sandwiches etc.

Q:   What is the procedure if two candidates score the same marks in the ICAR AIEEA PG exam?

A:

If two applicants secure the same marks then their merit and rank will be decided by the authorities following the below-mentioned procedure in the order. 

(i) Firstly, students who will do fewer incorrect questions will be rated higher. 

(ii) Secondly older applicants (higher in age) would be given preference. 

(iii) Last, an applicant who has a higher percentage/CGPA in the class 12 exam would be considered higher in merit.

The NTA score is a percentile score of the candidate in the test in which he/she appeared. It indicates the candidate's position visà-vis others who appeared in it. It is not mark.

The syllabus for both exams, NEET and ICAR is the same because both classes 11 and 12 syllabus is included for these entrance exam preparation . There is only one difference and that is the exam pattern. However, with practice one should be able to crack both exams.
