Anna University Chennai review.

Placements: 20% of students get placed in my course. The highest package was INR 10 lpa, and the lowest was INR 2 lpa. The average package is INR 4 lpa. The recruiting companies are Siemens, TCS, etc. Only 10% of students got internship opportunities on campus. If you need better placement, then go for the teaching role.

CEG is heaven on earth, and one can have a great personality development here.

Placements: During placements, only half of the batch got placed, but the other half quickly grabbed opportunities that came in their way. The top recruiting companies are GMMCO, Caterpillar, Sesa Goa, Hindustan Zinc Limited, L&T etc. We get a chance to participate in all the top IT companies too. All of us got internships and implant training through our department itself.

Placements: For my course, about 60% got placed in the campus recruitment and average package was about INR 25,000 per month and the highest was INR 60,000 per month which was offered by Saudi Firm which happened to be the top recruiter in our batch. Our curriculum was not encouraged to have an internship during course time. All roles in the placement are junior levels/entry levels offered. Top companies are L&T, Saipem, ACC.

Placements: Only a few students will get core companies others will sit only in IT (bulk) companies. Percentage of placement is little less when compared to other departments. We will get placements only in off campus like Kaveri Irrigation The starting pay will be around 15k per month.

It is a very good college as well as university in India.

Placements: Almost 98% of the students got placed from college. The highest salary offered was Rs. 80,000 per month, and the lowest salary offered was Rs. 25,000 per month. ITC was the top company that visited our campus. The managing director was the maximum position given by some companies, but it was very rare. It occurs in mostly in marketing lines. Mostly now some packaging companies are coming for placements. For internships, 6.5 is the basic percentage of marks needed.

It is a top college for pursuing MCA.

Placements: Placements in this college are very nice. Almost 90-92% of the students are placed in well-reputed companies. Many top companies like Microsoft, JP Morgan, SAP, TCS, Infosys, etc., visit here every year. If you want good placements, then CEG welcomes you here. But you have to do many things in these 3 years to get placed.

Dissatisfied with the teachers, low placements, and average syllabus.

Placements: The placements for my batch are very poor and even for the seniors as well. The placements are ongoing right now. So I don't know the exact details. There's a government body placement cell called CUIC. I'm not aware of companies that visited our college, as I'm not sitting for placements. The campus is huge.

I am satisfied with this college because it allows students to evolve as an individual.

Placements: In our college, the placements were low. But they had undergone several internships and implants. Companies like Titan, Hinduja foundries visited our campus. Apart from this several other software companies like Samsung, Cognizant software solutions also visited our campus, and students got placed. The percentage will be below 50%.

This college is the brand that promotes students.

Placements: Placements were moderate. Only the IT field can survive here. Printing, mining courses placements were the most. They don't try to get companies for placements. The average salary package offered was 7 LPA. For placements, students had to be very talented as the core companies only take a few, especially for circuit branches.

Review of CEG - College of Engineering Guindy, Anna University.

Placements: Overall the placements have declined this year. In our class out of 47, 15 people have placed majorly in the IT firm, which indicates that our highest salary package offered was 6 LPA and the lowest salary package offered was 3 LPA. There were a few friends of mine from other departments who got placed in reputed firms like Samsung. Some companies offered the highest salary package ranging from 18 LPA - 21 LPA.

Placements: Placements in our course were fare. Only students who have an interest in design and coding were getting placed. Students who have CGPA of a minimum of 7 got placed. The basic salary offered was Rs. 10,000 per month. Normal designing companies like Yali Studios, Ogilvy and others visited the campus for recruitment.

I was completely satisfied and happy to graduate from this college.

Placements: They have really put a great effort in placement since anna university is known for this. New companies have also participated in the placement which gave more opportunity to our students. But its not clear that the college has taken much effort or the companies have taken much effort to pick us.
