Review of College of Engineering- Anna University (CEG, Guindy).

Placements: I think our seniors had very good placement offers from mass recruiting and core companies. Placements for our batch are better than the previous batches. Popular companies like Caterpillar recruit freshers with a package of 7 lakhs per annum, and it is definitely worth it.

A great college with an effective and efficient environment.

Placements: There was a special unit named Centre for University Industrial Collaboration (CUIC) which does an effective and efficient interaction on behalf of college with various industries. However, the placements have reduced in recent years, and it was the same with almost all engineering colleges throughout India. However, the placements were very good for some departments like computer science, information technology, MCA, EEE, medical physics, mechanical, and civil engineering. Other departments get...

Review of COE and material science department.

Placements: Placements in the college are good. Most of the students get placed in IT. Even core companies preferred to recruit IT and CSC students this year. Students prefer to choose a career in their respective field, and there are no ways to chose our career here. We have to go with the flow, or we have to go for other things like UPSC or GATE and may opt for higher studies.

The college has proficient faculty members and organised departments.

Placements: Material science and engineering is a relatively new course in CEG. It is a research-oriented course. Many core companies and IT companies recruit students from our campus, and they also provide internships. Ashok Leyland, Caterpillar, and TVS are some of the companies that visit the campus. The placement process is still going on for 2019 batch. Almost 10-12 got placed in core companies and almost 30-35 got placed in IT and other management related companies from a class of 60 students. While s...

CEG - a beautiful platform for self improvement.

Placements: There are huge recruiters such as Amazon, Microsoft as well as bulk recruiters such as cognizant, tcs, Infosys, Accenture. The placement is overall good but it depends on your department background. There are many job offers to core departments such as computer Science, ECE, mechanical.

Awesomatic CEG. Worth the money. Go and join!

Placements: Placements were very good and whoever opted for placements got a job. Only students with arrears had difficulty in placements. Around 20% of the batch opted for higher studies (MBA, MS). The highest - 19LPA. Average - 10 LPA. Companies - Amazon, Microsoft, Samsung, Groupon, CISCO, Chronus, Zoho, HP, Dell, Ericsson, Amadeus, Accolite, CTS, TCS, Accenture. CEG Guindy Chennai CSE Review.

Placements: The placements and internship both are really good. Almost all toppers from Tamil Nadu study here. Most of the toppers prefer ECE, then Mech followed by CSE. One should get 199 cut off in Tamil Nadu board to get into this college. Almost all of my batch mates got placed. Companies like Flipkart, Google, GS, DeShaw, Microsoft, Google, Samsung, Amazon, GroupOn visit out campus. They also visit us for internship. For internship too they offer very high stipend around 70000 INR.

Absolutely satisfied with my course and college.

Placements: Almost every company in India, come to the college for the placements. The fact is that the opportunity here, is like an ocean and we have to make sure to take this opportunity. Not only for UG, but also for PG we have such an awesome placement. The professors who handle all those placement activities does everything for the welfare of the student and tries hard for the students to be placed so that they can have wonderful future. In our batch, though the PG had lesser companies than UG, the per...

Dissatisfied because of bad placements. Good infrastructure, campus life and facilities.

Placements: There is a placement cell in our college. Placements were held on the whole for students including B.E and M.E of all the departments. Only 5 IT companies namely Hcl, wipro, cts, tcs, infosys held campus in our college. No core company placements were held for students in M.E High Voltage Engineering. No internships has been arranged from our division for us.

Many professionals are made in this college.

Placements: The placements are good when compared with other colleges and university departments. The circuit branches like EEE, ECE, CSE, Bio M.Ed show a considerable placement ratio, but the worth is not appreciable. The branches of printing technology, Industrial Engineering and Mining have good placements as they are rare departments all over Tamilnadu. The civil department has a very bad placement ratio. The mechanical department also has good placements.

The highest salary offered for students is 10laks per annum and the lowest salary is 2.5lak per annum. Only 10 out of 1 or 2 students are placed in placements and others placed in off campus placements.

A review about Anna University.

Placements: The placements are good for IT, CSE, ECE and EEE but for my branch, it is quite opposite. Placements and package are less for my course. The college is not good for my course. Even there is no accreditation for my course. Don't study B.E. in Agricultural and Irrigation Engineering course at my college, but it is good for IT, EC, CSE, EEE and mechanical.

Placements: The placements are happening on the campus. Since I was a working professional, I don't require any placement, but a couple of my friends got good placements in well-reputed companies. Although the remuneration part was a little lower side for the fresher's, but it is okay.
