M.Sc. in Chemistry - Batch of 2025
4.4
4Placements5Infrastructure4Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
Above Average College for M.Sc. in Chemistry.
Placements: A placement cell at our Dwaraka Doss Goverdhan Doss Vaishnav College offers 80% above placement. How much we put into our studies to obtain jobs determines where we end up. Prominent corporations include Amazon, TCS, Wipro, and others. Starting at 4.5 LPA, the highest remuneration package ranges from 14.5 to 15.5 LPA. Fifty percent of students secure internships.
Infrastructure: We appreciate our campus environment because of the pleasant college atmosphere, which also aids in our ability to concentrate on our studies. High-speed internet and the newest equipment are available in lab rooms. Every year, a festival is organized on the campus of our college. We have to pay for the great food at the canteen.
Faculty: The knowledgeable faculty members provide clear explanations of every subject. They remain cordial with students, and they are also quite helpful to others. Although exams can be challenging, 85% of students pass since they have access to the notes from their regular classes.

Good infrastructure and facilities, but the quality of faculty and placements need improvement.
Placements: In our course, around 70-80% of students were successfully placed. The highest salary package offered was around 12-15 LPA, while the average was around 5-6 LPA, with the lowest package being 3-4 LPA. Top recruiting companies included major names like TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, Infosys, and Accenture. Around 40-50% of students secured internships, with companies like TCS, Capgemini, and Cognizant offering these opportunities. The most common roles offered were software developer, systems analyst, business analyst, and IT consultant. These placements and internships reflect good industry connections, although the numbers may vary each year.
Infrastructure: For our course, the college provides basic but functional facilities. Wi-Fi is available across the campus, although it can sometimes be slow during peak hours. Labs are equipped with the necessary software and hardware for practical sessions, though some systems may be slightly outdated. Classrooms are spacious, with basic amenities like projectors and whiteboards, offering a decent learning environment. Library has a good collection of books and online resources, though it can become crowded, especially during exam periods.
Faculty: Teachers were generally approachable and willing to help. However, the quality of support may vary depending on the subject and professor. Many faculty members were well-qualified with advanced degrees, but practical industry experience varied. Some teachers demonstrated deep subject knowledge, while others could have benefited from more industry experience to bridge theory with real-world applications. Teaching quality was generally decent, though it depended on the faculty member. Some professors had a good teaching methodology, while others stuck more to the traditional lecture style with less interactive learning.

Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) - Batch of 2024

Good college and have a good campus and faculty.
Placements: Around 150 students graduate from the B.Com Marketing Management program every year. The highest salary package offered is 3 LPA, while the lowest is 1.5 LPA. About 10% of students secure internships with companies such as Tata, Aditya Birla, Sleepwell, Godrej, and other marketing firms. Roles offered are primarily in digital marketing and other marketing-related fields.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is decent, with spacious classrooms and student tables resembling typical school desks. Only fans are available, as there are no air-conditioned rooms. Washrooms and toilets are cleaned and maintained. However, the drinking water quality needs improvement as it is not properly maintained.
Faculty: The faculty members are good, though their approach varies—some maintain a positive relationship with students, while others do not. Exams are often announced with minimal notice, and they are sometimes conducted before completing the syllabus, causing inconvenience for students.

1st year B.Com marketing management .
Placements: Even though I'm currently in my first year, I've seen my seniors already preparing for placements. The college provides various training programs to help them get selected by top companies and conducts many workshops. They emphasize the importance of placements from the first year itself, and internships are provided in the second year.
Infrastructure: My college isn't very big, but it's clean and neat. There are two cafeterias, and the college is always crowded in the afternoon after classes end. Even the bus stop gets crowded. We have a large bike parking area. The hostel facility is only for boys, and they don't serve any non-vegetarian food.
Faculty: The staff in my department are generally friendly, but there are some strict ones too. They are all qualified to teach their respective programs. Apart from teaching, they also guide us on career development. However, they are strict about timings and attendance. If your attendance falls below 75%, you're not allowed to write even the internal exams.

Lots of culturals to attend and no restriction.
Placements: Over 90 to 95 percent of people get placed in the best companies through the job fair every year. Around 15,000k per month, Tata, Wipro, Accenture, one of the best companies, come to select the students. Every student needs to complete an internship to complete the course in Banking and Management.
Infrastructure: Top-class labs and classrooms. There is no free Wi-Fi, and the library is the best. In the hostel, there is no A/C, but rooms are good. There is no A/C option in the hostel. It can get very hot, and the food is vegetarian. There is no non-veg allowed on campus due to the college principles.
Faculty: Yes, quality teachers and very knowledgeable and very helpful, and guidance is excellent. Yes, the course does its own way, still, the department helps gain the experience. Yes, it is not so difficult until you have a proper understanding of the subject. 40 percent is the passing score required.

Excellent college with excellent teachers.
Placements: Almost 40 percent of students were placed this year from our college and from our department the highest package was 6L per annum and below was 2.2L per annum. Many companies and banking companies visit our college for recruitment and few got placed and the rest of them moved to further studies and a few for internships.
Infrastructure: College has an average infrastructure compared to others where we have 3 auditoriums, a total of 7 blocks of departments, a hostel, and a canteen. Only a few UG classes have smart board facility and proper drinking water facility. Every room has its table and chair for students.
Faculty: Teachers are knowledgeable about the courses and have excelled in academics and helped us to face our problems. Our college provides us with many varieties of courses and responsible teachers who help us. Semester exams are not so difficult to crack.
Other: I chose this course because I was late and I don't have any option left out to choose other courses to pursue so I have to go with a particular course.
