It is a good college for economically weak students.
Placements: Placements are not satisfying. A lower percentage of students got internships.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good, but the Wi-Fi facility is not available. The canteen is good and serves good food. Classrooms are old and huge but not modified. There is a beautiful garden on the campus. Different departments are located in separate buildings. A huge library is available. Labs are old.
Faculty: Semester exams are very tough. Exams are conducted in our college itself, but malpractice is not allowed. Teachers are not helpful during the examination. The pass percentage is 80%. Question papers for semester exams are objective-type.
Other: Scholarships are provided to economically backward students, and extracurricular activities are held at the college. Our college offers all the courses.

Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) - Batch of 2021

Better place to pursue B.Ed in Kanpur.
Placements: There is no proper arrangements for placements as this course is just a degree. You have to find placements by for own. Teachers may help you by the their connection in education industry. Else you can apply in nearby schools with the degree which you will get after completion of your B.Ed.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of our college is better than other government college in the city. Small green ground, parking, library is there. No Wi-Fi is there classrooms are in average condition. I am a day scholar so I have no deep details about hostel but according to my knowledge there is no hostel facility. Canteen is good here.
Faculty: Faculty members are good here. They are supportive and they always here to help you whenever you need them. But few teachers are here who are not supportive but it is very common in government college. Curriculum is relevant and it makes you industry ready they also conduct training sessions and organise camp for training sessions for students.
Other: I want to be a government teacher and for being a government teacher B.Ed. Is necessary. Youth fest, NCC, games and sports facilities are there, debate and quiz are here for students.

Good college but improvement is needed here.
Placements: Be very honest there is no placement so don't give a single thought that any kind placements will be there for you. Although college also offers other courses in computer like B.Sc. , B. Lib. , M. Lib but for that also there is no placements and internship.
Infrastructure: If you compare our college with other government college you will find the infrastructure of our college is better other same category government colleges like DAV, MAHILA, VSSD, JDGIC No Wi-Fi is there Labs are there Library is also there Few games and sports facilities are there.
Faculty: Being a government college teachers don't expect too much from them. If you will go to them the will help you in solving your doubts. Course curriculum was not upto mark. It was all about bookish knowledge. Lack of practicality is there, they need to work on that.
Other: They should be more focus on practical knowledge rather than bookish knowledge. Try to relate things practically. Youth fest is one of the famous events where college participates, besides of that if you into sports college will encourage you to play on state or national level.

An above average place to get in.
Placements: No placement is there. You have to find by yourself. College only provides you degree. You can't expect much from this college it is not the condition of just this college you will see this scenario in most of the B.Ed. Colleges in Kanpur they just provide you degree.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is average, there is no facility of Wi-Fi in the college. Labs are there, but library facility is good in the college. I was a day scholar but few of my friends were from outside but there was no facility of hostel. Sports and games facilities were there.
Faculty: Teachers were supportive and well qualified. In our department teachers have contact with few schools so if you connected with them they may help you get the job by using their sources. If you talk about course curriculum training were given to us but it was not up to that level where we can say that we are industry ready.
Other: They should more focus on practical training. Many events happened during our time like youth fest, sport competition where you get chance to go on inter college or state level championship.

It is an average college, so don't expect very much from this.
Placements: There were no placements in our college, and you can only expect the degree from here. Our college offers other courses also like B.Sc, B.Ed, M.A, M.Sc, but for those courses also, there are no placements. Although our college is also associated with Swaroops name, it is not useful.
Infrastructure: As it is a government college, you can't expect very much from the building. However, if you compare it with other government colleges, then you will find better infrastructure here. Our college has labs and classrooms, but they are not in very good condition. So, you can only concentrate on your studies. The library is good and is sprawled over two floors. It has a good number of books. Our college doesn't provide hostel, so you have to find on your own as there are few private PGs and hostels. Our college has a canteen, sports like badminton, volleyball. Besides that, you can find NCC or Rangers and Rovers course also here.
Faculty: Teachers here are well qualified. Most of them either completed their NET or PhD with years of work experience. It depends on you how and what you learn from them. I did BA here. To pursue PhD, NET, civil services and other competitive exams, this course was relevant.
Other: I thought to opt for civil services, so I opted for this course. The course focuses more theory, so if teachers can relate it with practical lectures rather than bookish knowledge, then it will help students more.

It is an above-average college to pursue your masters if you stay in Kanpur.
Placements: There are no placements in our college. However, our college offers other courses like B.Lib, M.Sc and others, but if you want to get jobs, then you have to search on your own. So, don't depend on college for placements. Even they don't provide you with any kind of training which may help to make you industry or market-ready.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is not that good, but as it is a government college, it is better than other government colleges. There are labs, and our college has a good library. Our college doesn't have a hostel, but you can find private PGs or hostels near the campus. Games like badminton and volleyball are available. Our college also conducts NCC training camp for students.
Faculty: Teachers here are helpful, well qualified like most of them did their PhD or qualified NET. If you approach them for any query, then they will help you. I chose history as my course, so you can't expect very much from it. To be industry-ready, you have to opt for civil services, PhD, NET or other government exams.
Other: I chose this course as I want to write government exams. The course can be improved if they focus more on practical teaching methods. Our college organises events like youth fest, games, inter-college rovers and rangers camp, NCC camp, etc.
