Deccan Education Society Institute of Film and Television popularly known as DESIFT, was established in 1884. It is a private institute founded with the prime aim to impart comprehensive education in Media, Acting, Journalism, etc. The institute offers full-time undergraduate and postgraduate diplomas under three specialisations i.e. Television Production/ Digital Film Making, Broadcast Journalism, and Media Management. Apart from full-time courses the institute also offers a part-time certificate course in Acting and Anchoring. The curriculum offered by the institute is application-oriented that focuses on hands-on practical training. It also offers a unique opportunity of having over 50 live projects.
The course design is predominantly based on practicals. The assessment will be conducted on a regular basis giving due weightage to participation in class discussion, written reports, assignments, projects and term-end examinations after every quarter.

Deccan Education Society Institute of Film and Television Certificate Courses Admission 2021
Deccan Education Society Institute of Film and Television offers certificate courses for the duration of three months in part-time mode. The classes for the same are conducted twice a week (i.e. on weekend). Candidates must have passed Class 10 and must be 16 years and above to become eligible for admission to certificate courses. The selection in the certification courses is based on the performance in the admission test and Personal Interview (PI). the medium of the programme is English and Marathi.

Deccan Education Society Institute of Film and Television Application Process 2021
Deccan Education Society Institute of Film and Television application forms can be availed and submitted online as well as offline. The application form and prospectus can also be couriered on the address on payment of Rs 800 by a Demand Draft drawn in favour of DESIFT payable at Pune.
For online mode:
Step 1- Visit the official website of the institute (http://desift.com).
Step 2- Click on the “Admission” tab to find the application form.
Step 3- Enter the required details, including personal and academic information.
Step 4- Review and click on 'Submit'.
For offline mode: Candidates can visit the DESIFT office on any day from Monday to Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm. The prospectus along with the application form is available for Rs 800 at the admission office.
Note:
The final selection is done based on the performance in MAT test followed by Personal Interview (PI). The institute on the specified date will declare a merit list of selected candidates.
