    Worth the Investment?

Based on the reviews from students and alumni, here's a summary:

    Pros:

    * Good infrastructure: The university has a good campus with well-furnished classrooms, libraries, and Wi-Fi connectivity.
    * Qualified teachers: Most students agree that their teachers are knowledgeable, qualified, and helpful.
    * Extracurricular opportunities: The college organizes various events, fests, and sports activities, providing a great environment for personal growth.
    * Practical learning: The course curriculum focuses on both theoretical and practical aspects of accounting and finance, making it relevant to real-life situations.

    Cons:

    * Placements: Unfortunately, most students did not receive any job offers from the college's placement cell. Only a small number (around 40-60%) managed to secure placements, with salaries ranging from INR30,000 to INR60,000 per month.
    * Limited hostel facilities: Only a limited number of students (mainly female) have access to hostel accommodations, while others have to find alternative arrangements.
    * Lack of preparation for industry: Some students felt that the course did not adequately prepare them for the workforce, requiring additional education or certifications for employment.

In conclusion, whether BCom at the Department of Evening Studies is worth the investment depends on individual goals and priorities. While the course offers a solid foundation in accounting and finance, the limitations in terms of placements and hostel facilities may make it less attractive to those seeking immediate career advancement. However, for those interested in pursuing higher education or developing their skills in the field, the programme could still be a valuable investment. Ultimately, careful consideration of these factors should guide decision-making.

The university gives us a good environment to build our personalities and confidence.
Placements: Our college has no placements. The average salary offered is Rs. 15,000 per month to Rs. 20,000 per month. It offers you a good environment to build yourself through extracurricular activities. If you want a good placement, I will recommend you take admission to a private college or university.
Infrastructure: Our college provides good infrastructure. Each department has its library and Wi-Fi. Our classrooms are well-furnished and airy. Hostel facilities are provided only to a few students of the evening department, but the mess is open to all. It provides hygienic and tasty food. The university has its dispensary, which is free for all university students. The university is performing well in sports activities too.
Faculty: Our teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Students must pay attention to class and listen to their teachers. The student-teacher bonding is good in class. Exams are not difficult, but it is up to the student to perform well.
Other: B. Com. is a course that helps us learn the basics of CA and other accounting fields. The university organises many events and functions every year. Scholarships are available, but the average student has very little chance of receiving one. The campus is excellent.

I am not satisfied with faculty members.
Placements: Around 60-80% of students got placed in our course. The highest salary offered is Rs. Rs 60,000 per month, and the lowest salary offered is Rs. 30,000 per month.
Infrastructure: Our college provides good and well-furnished facilities and infrastructure for our course. Free Wi-Fi is available in our college. Each department has its library. Hostels are good but provide only to a few students. The food served in the mess and canteen is commendable.
Faculty: Teachers in our course are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. They teach us very well. They are fast, so you need to be more attentive and listen to them carefully. Semester exams are not much difficult. It is easy to pass if you study well.
Other: I don't recommend our course for placements. You should take admission to private colleges for better placement facilities. I opted for this course because of my interest in accounting and finance. Our college should improve B.Com placements.

Top companies hiring include Deloitte, KPMG, Ernst & Young (EY), and HDFC Bank. Around 70% of students found internships with companies like ICICI Bank, Infosys, and TCS. Infrastructure: Panjab University campus features up-to-date classrooms, labs, libraries, and dorms. The furniture and fans are in very good condition.
Faculty: All faculty members at Panjab University are well-educated, experienced, and qualified. They are very humble and supportive, guiding students through every problem they face. The teachers are easily available for discussions. The difficulty level of exams is moderate.

Panjab University Chandigarh is the best university to get admission and study any course.
Placements: Around 40- 60% of students got placed in our course. The highest package offered is Rs.54,000 per month, and the lowest package offered is Rs.32,000 per month. The top roles offered are Accountant and sales manager. Our course is professional and well-developed, and our course is named Bachelor of commerce which provides you knowledge theoretically as well as practically in life.

You will have an amazing life here, but you may face some problems.
Placements: There is a placement cell in our university, but it doesn't work much to provide placements for students of Department of Evening Studies. There aren't any placement records for campus placements. Well-read students can get jobs off-campus with their own efforts and skills.
Infrastructure: The main university campus has a good infrastructure and is even one of the best in India. There is a lot of greenery around, but in our college, the hostel is not available to us. There is a hostel that has few seats for girls but none for boys. The student centre is a good place to eat and relax for students.
Faculty: The syllabus in our course is hard and includes a variety. It is appreciated by other college's graduates. Teachers here are knowledgeable and talented, but there are very few teachers who need to be replaced. Students feel like that because teachers lack knowledge and teaching style.
Other: The Evening Department is for students who are busy doing any course or job, etc., along with their college studies. Many students of our batch pursue CA CS along with B.Com. Fests, campus and crowd, are awesome and are enough to satisfy the expectations of any student about the college life which they dream of when they are in high school. There is a scope for improvement in teaching staff members and giving societies to students of the evening department. There must be hostels for us.

    Satisfied with my experience.
Placements: Particularly, no students took any offer from the placement because everybody went there to just had an experience of the interview and group discussion. They were pretty clear that nobody will take any offer because everybody wanted to go for further studies.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available all around the campus. There are two library that are our department library and the other is the main library of the university which is named as AC Joshi Library. The facilities provided in the hostel are above average. It is love to stay in a hostel because of the accessibility to various things. There are sports complex and grounds for sports and games.
Faculty: Teachers are very well qualified and knowledgeable. It is good to study from them. They have quite a good experience which will provide base to the students. Course provides base to the students which will help them in their professional degrees in the future.
Other: Nothing to improve the course. Lot of extra curricular activities take place in the department as well as in university as a whole. Fests take place in the campus generally in jan and feb months.
