Q:   Which has better placement at PUMBA, BBA or MBA?

    A:

While institutional MBA programs have a solid placement record, the scenario is different for Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) programs. Placement statistics for BBA programs show that around 60% of students secure placement. While this figure shows room for improvement, it should be noted that the highest portfolio reaches 15 million per year, representing an opportunity for independent performers.

The average placement package for BBA students is between 3 to 4 Lacs per year. While this doesn't match the numbers posted on MBAs, it's a good starting point for graduates entering the workforce with a bachelor's degree. Moreover, the placement scenario may vary based on the student's individual efforts, specialisation and industry requirements.

As the organisation focuses on refining placement strategies and developing strong industry linkages, there is room for improvement in the BBA placement scenario in the future. Prospective BBA students can gauge current placement statistics and consider learning experiences, curriculum, and opportunities for personal and professional growth.

    PUMBA Investing Lower Lows.
Placements: Out of 180 odd students, 125 are placed which is great for 2022-24 batch considering tight job market. But roles offered are very menial. Only 2 companies visited for consulting role. Half of Finance batch is yet to place. Average package is below 7LPA. Only 20 students got package above 8LPA. College publishers average package by manipulating CTC, bonus, variable, etc. Only 50-55 people got internship others did online internship. For marketing specialisation condition is better, for finance it is the worst. People should rely only on Banking recruiters. At-least 80% companies visit for all specialisation, and ask for Business development roles.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure for classes is on brink of collapse. College built new floor and new separate auditorium but we don't have projectors for regular classes. Our classes are conducted in auditorium. College premises is very clean and soothing. Library has all old books upto 2012-13 editions. Computer lab is only unlocked once in year during CAP process to fill forms and pay feels. Hostel is common for all university students - which is doable.
Faculty: For marketing - faculty and tutoring is above average, good qualified teachers teach with some case study based approach. For Finance - Condition is the worst. Half lectures are cancelled. External teachers teach only to complete 2.5 Hr quota. Internal faculty just teaches some basic concepts and repeated teaches same concept twice/ thrice. Except 10-15 students no-one knows anything about finance, but everyone knows how to gamble in Future and Options using technical analysis. More than 90% of finance batch want to become Equity analyst. Exams - are moderate for theory papers - we have to analyze situation from n perspectives. For numerical especially for finance - we get the simplest of examples so we cross passing marks. Once we were asked to calculate bond price for 10 marks having no coupon. Finance students are not at all industry ready, even people with B.Com background are unplaced, only engineers gets placed due to interview efforts and rational thinking.
Other: I chose this college because I didn't get SIMSREE due to OHU. ROI is best if you ever get good job, else freely take second attempt for CAT/CET, etc. Faculty is very qualified, but for some reason they just don't teach. Students are very lethargic and non-competent. 75% of students don't have any communication skills or whatever. People are afraid to talk in English . College should focus on soft skills in short term to regain reputation for placements. There are many cell/committees to join and participate, it is very fun experience. Students join it to put it on resume and not for self-improvement. So even cell head are unplaced. Whole campus is very calm and lots of trees makes it desirable.

PUMBA is Best College For MBA.
Placements: One of the most prestigious institutes in India, best ROI. In the first year, we have to do some projects to get internships. If you complete an internship, it becomes very easy to get a job in placement drives. Top companies like Mercedes, Piramal, TATA, Mahindra come for hiring. Mostly finance companies come. The highest package offered is 30 LPA.
Infrastructure: College located in Pune area, and all modes of transportation are available. Classrooms are clean and neat, free Wi-Fi can be accessed from anywhere on campus, but it has some search restrictions. Hostel fees are very affordable with facilities like healthy food, special food two times a week, and we have four canteens in our campus.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified; mostly, they are doctorate qualified, and some are from IIT. Their teaching skills are the best, focusing mostly on communication and presentation skills. Our college is one of the best universities itself, and its curriculum makes us industry-ready. Semester exams are difficult; in class, 45 out of 60 passed, and we have a good passing percentage in the class.

Satisfied with internships and placements of college.
Placements: The primary allure of college lies in its placement opportunities and return on investment. In our batch, 80% of students were successfully placed with an average package of 6lpa. Renowned companies such as Bajaj Finance, Aditya Birla, and Reliance are among the top recruiters. During summer internships, students are able to secure internships, with some companies offering stipends while others do not. The most sought-after roles offered are that of a relationship manager and branch manager.
Infrastructure: The college campus boasts a vast expanse of lush greenery, with the library being the sole provider of free internet access. The labs are equipped with high-speed computers, while the library houses an extensive collection of books. The hostel offers comfortable accommodation for 2-3 students per room, and the mess serves good-quality food with the convenience of tiffin service. Additionally, the campus features 2-3 canteens, and various sports such as cricket, basketball, and kabbadi are played on the sports grounds.
Faculty: Teachers, who possess doctorate qualifications, primarily utilize PowerPoint presentations as a teaching tool. The course curriculum is specifically designed to improve our leadership and presentation abilities. Additionally, prior to semester exams, teachers provide a highly beneficial file containing the top 100 questions and answers, aiding in the successful completion of all tests.
Other: Sppu is the top university in Maharashtra and India, so I chose this college, and my decision was right.
