May 31, 2024: DAITM recently hosted its highly anticipated Freshers & FEST, DAITMANIA 2024, at the Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre (EZCC) in Kolkata. The event, doubling as a fresher's welcome and cultural fest, was a resounding success, leaving attendees and students thrilled. The festivities commenced with dynamic performances by DAITM students, showcasing their diverse talents in dance, music, and drama. The freshers' enthusiasm set an electrifying tone, earning applause and cheers from the audience. A highlight of DAITMANIA 2024 was the captivating performances by esteemed guest artists. Renowned singer Somlata Acharyya Chowdhury enchanted the crowd with her soulful voice, while the popular band Fakira delivered energetic, foot-tapping numbers, leaving the audience swaying and singing along.

Thalassemia Awareness Session and Screening Organized at DAITM

May 27, 2024: The Department of Medical Laboratory Technology at Dinabandhu Andrews Institute of Technology and Management (DAITM) held a Thalassemia Awareness Session and Screening in association with NRS Medical College and Hospital. The event, which took place in the DAITM Seminar Hall, had as its goal raising awareness of thalassemia, a serious health concern. The ceremony began with the lighting of the lamps and then distinguished DAITM President Professor Dr. Pabitra Sarkar gave a motivational speech. Known for his contributions as an author and linguist, Dr. Sarkar's speech inspired the attendees.

Professor Dr. Rajib De, the keynote speaker, gave a thorough presentation on thalassemia, covering its main issues, difficulties, preventative strategies, and the critical significance of raising public awareness. DAITM Kolkata Collaborates with ZERON for a Seminar on Cyber Security

Security threats of every kind, such as identity theft and data leakage, must be thwarted with procedures or procedures, as well as with awareness of the attacks. The study of security threats, their effects, hazards, and defences is known as cybersecurity. Offices, companies, institutions, and organisations should be aware of these cyberattack types and their defence. A "Cyber Security" session lasting a single day can give the audience all the information they need. In order to increase awareness and understanding among the eager UG and PG students at Dinabandhu Andrews Institute of Technology and Management (DAITM, Kolkata), organised a "Cyber Security" seminar last Saturday in partnership with ZERON, a cyber security posture management platform.

This college has a nice environment for studies and also the facilities for study are also good.

Placements: 75% of students are still left to get a job, but they will have that by the time of passing the course. The average package is 2,00,000 per annum, and the lowest can be 1,80,000 per annum. Apollo, R. G. Stone, CMRI, TCS, Accenture, and so on are the top recruiters. All of us got the internship opportunity in various hospitals and consultation centers. Junior executive is the top role offered.

Satisfied with our college's performance, I find that it possesses good infrastructure & facilities.

Placements: Currently, I am pursuing B.Sc. in Medical Lab Technology. About 90% of students in our course were placed last year. The average package in our course is about 12,000 rupees per month. Our college provides 100% internship in various NABL accredited laboratories and hospitals.

Placements: Companies like Amazon, Infosys, Deloitte, and many other prestigious company comes for the in campus interviews in our college. Almost 85% students who sit for the interviews gets the job. The jobs depend on your capabilities it can be developer tester and many more. The package and role obviously depends on the student's ability.

The college has a good library, labs, and teachers.

Placements: Around 30% of students were placed in the BCA course. I think Sutherland is the top recruiting company, followed by Amazon. The top role offered is in BPO, which is offered in this course. The highest package is INR 21000, the lowest package is INR 14000, and the average package is INR 15000 per month. No students got internships.

My experience at DAITM college.

Placements: The placement after the covid has dropped somewhat and more because no internship work is provided. If someone wants to be placed in a good company, off-campus drives are the only option left. The only recent good placement that has taken place is from Accenture.

The infrastructure is decent and the placements of the college are really great.

Placements: The college provides great placement opportunities. The college has tie up with famous companies like Amazon, Accenture, TCS, Deloitte, Capgemini and other Multi National Companies. Over fifty percent of students get hire from the college. The average package given to the students are Three Lacs Rupees per annum.
