Amazing faculty but not satisfied with the placement options.
Placements: As for the Commerce department, there aren't many placement options except the local companies like Lally Motors, Paras Valve, etc. But if you are looking for an institution that could provide deep knowledge of the curriculum, it would be a great option, and also there are a lot of scholarships for the underprivileged students, so it would be a great match for you then.
Infrastructure: The canteen facility is really good. It has improved a lot in the recent years. The hostel rooms are a bit costly as you have to pay the hostel and mess fees even when you are on vacation. The sports facilities are quite good. There is badminton, a volleyball court, and coaches. There is also a swimming pool that is open for both males and females at separate timings, but these facilities are not complimentary but paid.
Faculty: The faculty members of this college are really good. The teachers are well qualified and very helpful. I have done my graduation from the same college. They have helped me a lot throughout the session. The semester exams contain 70% of the total syllabus. The pass percentage is the same as the final exams, and also you have to pay a fine if you do not pass the house examinations.
Other: There are a lot of events that keep happening in the college, and everyone is given the same chance to volunteer for the events. One such event is "Gyan Ganga," where the school students are invited to college to participate in various events, and all the departments have to guide the children through various types of courses they can enroll in as per their interests. And also, Doaba College offers a 20% scholarship to students who score above 80% in the final examination.

Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com. Professional) - Batch of 2021

I am not satisfied with the practical knowledge provided in BCA and the rest is average.
Placements: In our college, around 2% of students were placed on campus. The highest salary package offered was 2.4 LPA and the lowest salary package offered was 1.8 LPA. Top companies such as Infosys, TCS, and Wipro visited our campus. Top roles offered were graduate trainee and IT support.
Infrastructure: The library, classrooms, and air-conditioning labs were among the basic facilities that were provided. The library was average. Classrooms were very good. In 2018–21, sports activities just began, so it was a good start. The canteen facilities were expanded in 2021, which was good.
Faculty: Teachers were good. The curriculum was relevant, but it didn't make students industry-ready. Semester exams were average. The pass percentage was 80%.
Other: I chose BCA because I was interested in programming and wanted to diversify and expand my knowledge in this area. Practical knowledge needs to be improved. I had seen a drastic change in the crowd. During our batch, there were fewer students, but now during fest and other crowded programs, there was a lot of participation and audience.

It is a satisfactory college, and has well qualified faculty and good placement.
Placements: At the college, almost 40% of my batch got placed from the campus. The highest package was 30,000, the lowest was 10,000, and the average was 15-18 thousand. Recruiting companies are generally in the city. Internships are not that common at college. The roles offered are accountants, etc.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure are average. WiFi facilities are present but usually not working. Labs are very advanced. Classrooms are average. Library is not that good. Hostel and mess are below average. Canteen is average. Medical facilities are above average. Sports and games are also above average.
Faculty: Teachers are very humble, helpful, and well qualified. The teaching quality is average. The curriculum activities are average. It almost makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are very difficult. They must give time to prepare for exams. Passing percentage is 35%
Other: I chose because of it the best college for commerce. I would wish that there must be sufficient time to study before exams. There are many events organized day to day. Campus crowd is good. Campus surroundings are average. Scholarships are available at the college. Extracurricular activities are performed regularly.

Our college gives quality education.
Placements: Around 50% of students were placed depending on attendance and marks. The salary packages range from Rs.10,000 to 15,000 per month. Ajay industries, Kamal hospital & S. Dinesh are top recruiting companies in the course. All the students get an internship for sure, but whether that internship converts into placement depends upon the student. An accountant is a top role you get initially after completing the course.
Infrastructure: Good infrastructure, a big library with Wi-Fi access, spacious canteen and new benches. The quality of food in mess is average, but canteen food is quite good and delicious. Medical facilities are available and the college participates in all kinds of sports or games for example cricket, football, karate etc.
Faculty: Teachers are strict but very knowledgeable. The curriculum covers all the aspects (including practicals) to make students ready for industry. Semester exams are fairly hard, but a student can easily pass with some hard work.
Other: I chose this course because I was curious about the whole subject. The best thing is it is perfect to make students ready for the field. The improvement should be made a bit harder with more practical experience. The college gets 5/5 in social events and extracurricular activities. I lived the best years of my life here. All students are helpful to each other, no ragging, and tons of activities. Although achieving a scholarship solely depends if you are a topper or not.

There are really good facilities and teaching staff members.
Placements: The highest salary package offered here was 1.5 crore per annum in 2018. The lowest salary package offered was 14 LPA in 2018, while the average salary package of 60 LPA was offered in 2018. Google and Microsoft are recruiting companies here. Around 75% of the students got internships from here. Managing director in Infosys was the top role offered here.
Infrastructure: All facilities were available in this college, but the infrastructure was a little bit old-fashioned. Facilities available in the hostel were good, and the quality of the food served in the mess was average. Medical facilities were also average, but sports and games were excellent. A huge playground, gym, swimming pool and all other sports were available in this college.
Faculty: The teachers here were very helpful. All the teaching staff members were qualified, and their teaching quality was excellent. We can approach teachers anytime to find answers, and they never mind. This course curriculum is relevant. It does make students ready for a better future.
Other: This course was very good. I chose this course because I have an interest in the business.

Affordable for students from weaker sections of society.
Placements: Placement options were quite good for IT department. Placement percentage was approximately 5%-10%. Companies in which students were placed include TCS, Infosys, and some local companies like OverIT, Grow by 10, etc. Top roles offered include system administration, website development, support executive, IT coordinator, etc.
Infrastructure: Facilities facilities like hostel and mess were just fine, but canteen facilities have improved a lot in recent years. Infrastructure in the IT department was really good. Labs were well-equipped. There was smart class facility. Paid Wi-Fi was available for students.
Faculty: The faculty of our college was amazing. Teachers were very helpful and motivating. This course was really useful for students who do not want to spend a lot on pursuing courses like B.Tech CS but are interested in this field. Semester exams were as per GNDU syllabus. Difficulty level of the exams was average.
Other: I chose this course as I had a lot of interest in this field. I had already done freelancing in website development and wanted to learn more. I could not spend a lot on my fees, so I pursued this course. It would have been better if the syllabus was updated to the latest technology. They were a lot of events that kept happening in our college, like the annual youth fest, Gyan Ganga, inter-college quizzes, and all the students were given an equal chance to participate.
