Review of Don Bosco College – Hospitality Studies.
Placements: There were about 120 of us when we first joined the course, but after the vocational training, many students left the college. Then 108 of us left. The highest package you can get in this course is anywhere from 12,000 to 18,000, and it increases as you grow in the industry. The recruiting hotels and restaurants for this course from our college are four seasons, St. Regis, Oberoi, Bombay Canteen, Opedro, Taj, Sofitel, Grand Hyatt and many more. Almost everyone got a job in these hotels and restaurants, and there were foreign job opportunities too from this course. You start at an entry-level from this course and then make your way to the top.
Infrastructure: There are three kitchen departments for training the students, Quantity Training kitchen (QTK), Basic Training kitchen (BTK) and Advance Training Kitchen (ATK) in Don Bosco. There is a front office department and a housekeeping department. There is also a restaurant and bar, where you learn all about the service and beverage aspects of the food and beverage department. The faculty members are very friendly and approachable, and they have wide knowledge of what they teach.
Faculty: The faculty members are very helpful and friendly. They teach you anything and everything they know about the subject they teach you. They have very wide knowledge about what they teach, and the way they teach also makes it easier to remember. There are many events in the college, where you work in different departments and learn about the various departments. In order to excel in this industry, you should be keen to know more about when you something new you don't know about, and then the faculty members explain it to you and guide you. There is industrial training in the second year where you work in all departments in the hotel, and you can then decide which department you want to specialise in when you reach the third year. The exams are easy if you clarify your doubts from faculty members, and the average CGPA of students is anywhere from 7.8 to 9.0.
Other: In my third year, I chose food and beverage and front office. In Don Bosco, you can specialise in two departments. In your third year, you have to choose the combination of two, like food production and food & beverage, food and beverage, and front office and front office and housekeeping. There are a lot of people who think low about the housekeeping department, but it is the only department that guarantees you steady growth, and it is easy to make your way to the top in the hotel industry. There are many events in college like Spectrum, where you cater to a lot of people from the industry and then there is one or two events each year. There is hysteria for all the courses where all the courses compete with each other in indoor and outdoor activities.

I am dissatisfied with cultural games as they are playing at a low level.
Placements: A good percentage of students from our college B.Sc course got placed. The highest salary offered to the students is Rs. 60,000 per month and the lowest salary offered is Rs. 25,000 per month. Students can join in well-known companies. All courses are available in our college. Students got 90% and an average of 55% of marks in their academics. It is good to study at our college.
Infrastructure: The college provides good facilities to study in labs, classrooms, library, neat classrooms. The hostel has neat washrooms, purified water and good food to eat. I like to study at our college, and I would recommend it to the next level students. I have learned many things from this college.
Faculty: Education-wise, teachers are helpful to study and also clearing the doubts of students. They are good for providing us with good studies which are the main reason for getting the best performance and percentage of students. They have the best knowledge. Teaching quality of our teachers is good. This course makes students industry-ready.
Other: I have chosen a B.Sc course because it has jobs. Everything is good here, like good uniforms, but they should improve their sports and placements. Events organised here are good, and fests are special to us. Campus crowd is good, and there is good connectivity between every person. Campus surroundings are very beautiful and good with nature. The college provides good scholarships for students. Extracurricular activities on our campus are also good.

The college is very disciplined in terms of following rules and is excellent to gain knowledge.
Placements: There were 100% placements offered to the students through campus interviews. The average salary package offered was up to Rs. 16,000 per month. The roles offered were assistants, hotel operations trainee, and management trainees. Internships were compulsory for students as it was a part of our semester. Hence, every student has to intern in a hotel. The highest stipend offered was Rs. 5,000 per month, the average stipend offered was 2,500 per month and the lowest stipend offered was 1,000 per month. The stipends differed from hotel to hotel. There was a placement cell in the college headed by the campus placement manager, and he took care that each student gets a job by the end of the course.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college was of the highest quality. There were a lot of advanced facilities like e-library, training restaurant, advanced kitchens, and fully equipped classrooms with A-V facilities. The campus has a large football ground, basketball court, a gym, tennis court, and a place to play cricket. Food available in the canteen was good as per the prices.
Faculty: All the faculty members in our college were qualified and knowledgeable in their specialised department. The teaching quality was also good as minute details were also shared during the lectures. Practical sessions and A-V sessions were used as methods of teaching. The student to faculty ratio was 100:4. I did get industry exposure for 6 months at Grand Hyatt, Mumbai. It was very useful as I got the best intern award which helped me a lot for my future.
Other: Events were hosted in the college every month. The campus crowd was well-mannered. The campus was surrounded by Phoenix market city and various salons. There is a railway station at a walkable distance of 10 minutes from the college.

The college has good faculty and placements.
Placements: Hotels like Oberoi, The Lalit, Sahara Star, Grand Hyatt, and Taj hotel offered placements to students. The average salary package offered for the students is 2.50 LPA. Companies do have percentage criteria, but it varies from company to company. They select students based on their performance in the interview and their communication skills.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college was excellent. The campus has a healthy environment. Digital classrooms are available for e-learning. A medical checkup is conducted for students twice a year. The college provides Wi-Fi facilities. There is a library that provides books for students.
Faculty: Faculty members are experienced. E-learning method is used for students to learn. Students are taken to visit hotels for internships and gaining experience. Faculty members mostly focus on weak students. Hygienic kitchens are available for students to perform practicals.
Other: Scholarships are provided to the students. Spectrum is the biggest fest conducted in the college.
