B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering - Batch of 2014

It was sort of okay type college.
Placements: Around 10 percent of students were placed
small companies came. Not even a single renowned company came that year. I think around 2.4 LPA was offered to few students. I was not selected in that placement. Over all one has to search by himself they don't provide placements.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure was okay not too good not bad. No Wi-Fi facility is available. Students were not allowed to use phone in the campus. The hostel food is not good. It was okay type. Canteen keeps on changed no sports events no medical facilities. No sports events.
Faculty: Teachers are of okay type. Neither too knowledgeable nor that much qualified. Most pf them have Bachelors degree. No the syllabus is not relevant according to market standards. At that time everyone wants just to pass the exam anyhow. Teachers too were not up
to the mark.
Other: I choose electronics and communication engineering.

Absolutely satisfied because of faculty. We faced issues with the lack of faculty members at times.
Placements: The college offers good placement opportunities to lots of students during the placement season, which lasts for a month. They also provide many types of facilities during the exam, and they also provide good exposure to students for their bright future. Even our teachers guide students for their bright future and their career.
Infrastructure: There are a lot of classrooms, labs and library available for the students. We also have a canteen available for students. Our canteen also offers many types of foods items. They also provide good washroom facility, and even the water facility is available in almost all the blocks. There are separate classrooms available for different streams.
Faculty: Faculty members of our college are good, helpful, and qualified. They share their knowledge with students, and this helps the students for their future. Teaching quality is good here. The faculty to student ratio is 1: 40. Our teachers also help students excel in their careers. I pursued the MCA course from this college.

The college has bad academics and placements.
Placements: This is the worst college regarding placement records. No opportunity is given to any student so that the students can have a good start to their career. I will not recommend this college to anyone ever. Don't take admission in this college, and if you do so, then your future will be spoiled. The college did not take efforts for the students' placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure was average on the campus. The classrooms were spacious to accommodate students. The buildings are surrounded by greenery. The only problem is the available facilities are not up to the mark, for example, the Wi-Fi facility is available, but the students are not given access. Even in computer labs, the speed of internet is slow.
Faculty: The teaching quality of teachers is low. They are not enough qualified, but we require post graduated faculty members. They were not able to tackle the questions asked by students. We got industry exposure only one time in my entire two years, and it was completely useless.

Review of Doon Valley Group of Institutes.
Placements: There is no placement for mechanical engineering these days. There are a lot of placements for food technology and IT streams. In our batch, some of the batchmates were directly selected from the campus (food technology).
Infrastructure: It has a very good infrastructure and Doon Valley Institutions is famous for this. Lots of online exams are conducted here due to the availability of high-class computer labs. All hostels, cafeteria, library and college building are very good and clean. A Wi-Fi connection is available on the college campus.
Faculty: There are good faculty members for all streams. There is no compromise with studies due to the less crowd these days. All senior faculty members are well-experienced. They all knew how to give good a guidance to students. The lab attendants and workshop attendants are well-qualified in their field.

B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2013

Other: College is average. Studies are good for marks point of view. But there is little emphasis on practical knowledge and you will feel that you are in a school not in college. Placements wise the college is very poor. No placement assistance from college side. Very big campus. Yes, there are fests in the college. One thing that is good is faculty. So, if you want to do a degree just for the sake of degree this college is the best option for you. But, if you want exposure then you should go for some other college.

Other: Very Good College. Good for the engineering students, who want to grow in their career. Labs & practical knowledge is awesome. Faculty members are good. Canteen is good and life at campus is also good. Most of the lecturers are very good with students. College infrastructure is best in the Karnal. Location is also good. From all nearby location students can reach easily.
