Q:   Is it worth pursuing B.Sc. at Dr. Kalam Agricultural College?

    A:
    {Source: B.Sc. students & alumni}

Here's a summary of the key points:

    Pros:

    * Good infrastructure: Well-maintained classrooms, labs, and libraries with modern equipment and facilities.
    * Experienced faculty: Professors are well-qualified with Ph.D.'s from renowned institutions, and many have research experience.
    * Relevant course curriculum: The curriculum is designed to make students industry-ready, with a focus on practical skills and theoretical knowledge.
    * Low fees: The fee structure is reasonable, with a fellowship of INR2,000 per month for students scoring 5 CGPA.
    * Scholarship options: Additional support for book purchases and a stipend of INR2,000 per month.
    * Campus life: The college has a peaceful atmosphere, with a low student population, allowing for personalized attention and focus on studies.

    Cons:

    * Limited placement opportunities: While some students get placed in companies like Syngenta, IG Group, and Greymatter Technologies, others may struggle to find employment directly after graduation.
    * High competition for limited seats: With only 60 seats available annually, competition for admissions is fierce, making it challenging for students to secure a spot.
    * No direct placement guarantee: Students may need to rely on competitive exams, internships, or further education (e.g., MSc) to achieve their career goals.
    * Average scholarship amount: Although the scholarship amounts are decent, some students might find them insufficient to cover living expenses.

    Conclusion:
Pursuing a B.Sc. at Dr. Kalam Agricultural College can be a good choice for those genuinely interested in agriculture and willing to put in the effort required to succeed. However, students should be aware of the limitations regarding placement opportunities and the competitiveness for seats. It's essential to weigh these factors against the benefits mentioned earlier before making an informed decision.

Remember, this response is based solely on the provided testimonials and information and should serve as a starting point for individual research and consideration.

College gives stipend of Rs.2000 per month.
Placements: Generally, agriculture is another a good course if you want to get placements. Placements here are average, generally, software and agricultural companies visit this college. Do not prefer this college if you want placements. If you want a job from the college then opt for computer Science and other branches. If you are passionate then come here.
Infrastructure: Hostel is a good and the university has all the basic infrastructure and is in a developing mode. A new building is constructed. Infrastructure is improving day by day. One of the biggest indoor stadiums is under construction on our campus. I think this university has good opportunities to develop.
Faculty: Faculty members are good, especially new courses have great and enthusiastic teachers. We have a semester here. Young teachers are good. We Also have old teachers working for 30 years 40 years and they are not up to the mark as they are still using old-based technique. They need to change their mindset.
Other: I chose this course because of interest in agriculture. I would recommended this course if you have an interest in it.

Our college provides very good and attractive infrastructure.
Placements: Fewer students get placed in our college because many students focus on the JRF exam for higher education. Students got seats in many colleges through JR like Imphal Agricultural College, Vishwa Bharti College, and Bihar Agricultural College.
Infrastructure: Many facilities are provided in our college like Wi-Fi in classrooms, offices, and hostels but due to less technical staff students are not able to use Wi-Fi. Labs are good but because of fewer professors, labs are not properly used. Classrooms are very good with all the facilities. The library is good but all the books are not available.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are well qualified. Their teaching quality is the best. They are very knowledgeable and come from different good colleges like Tamil Nadu Agricultural College and Viswa Bharti College. The course curriculum is relevant and makes students industry ready. Semester exams are not difficult but students face difficulty in preparation due to less time. The pass percentage is 5 CGPA. The maximum CGPA scored by students is 9. Our college has 23 faculty members but needs 40.
Other: I chose this course because I had more interest in agriculture. Our college should teach extra subjects. Events and fests organised in our college are very few. Students get a scholarship of Rs.2,000 per month. Extracurricular activities are very less in our college.
