Review of GIFT autonomous Bhubaneswar.
Placements: Our batch at GIFT Bhubaneswar pursued B.Tech in Computer Science, with approximately 85% of students placed successfully. The highest package offered was around 12 LPA, the average package was 4.5 LPA, and the lowest was 3 LPA. Top recruiters included TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, and Cognizant. Around 70% of students secured internships in companies like IBM, Dell, and Tech Mahindra, gaining valuable industry exposure. The top roles offered included Software Developer, Data Analyst, System Engineer, and Business Analyst. The placement and internship opportunities reflect the course's focus on making students industry-ready with relevant technical and professional skills.
Infrastructure: GIFT Bhubaneswar provides excellent facilities for students, including modern classrooms with projectors, well-equipped labs for hands-on learning, and a library stocked with books, journals, and digital resources. The campus has reliable Wi-Fi, enabling seamless research and connectivity. Hostels are clean, comfortable, and offer amenities like Wi-Fi, laundry, and recreational space. The mess serves hygienic food, though more variety is often requested. Medical facilities include an on-campus health center and tie-ups with local hospitals. Sports facilities are robust, with grounds for cricket, football, and badminton, along with indoor games, ensuring a balanced and engaging student life.
Faculty: The teachers at GIFT Bhubaneswar are generally helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable, with many having both academic and industry experience. The teaching quality is good, focusing on practical and theoretical aspects, ensuring students grasp core concepts. The course curriculum is industry-oriented, regularly updated to include modern trends, and designed to make students industry-ready. Semester exams are moderate challenging, encouraging conceptual understanding rather than wrote learning. With proper preparation, they are manageable, and the pass percentage is typically high, reflection the supportive learning environment and emphasis on academic success.
Other: I chose my course at GIFT Bhubaneswar because of its industry-focused curriculum, experienced faculty, and good placement opportunities. The best aspects of the course include hands-on training through labs, internships, and workshops, along with a focus on developing technical and soft skills. However, I feel the course could improve by incorporating more research opportunities and exposure to advanced technologies. The campus hosts vibrant events like Technotica and cultural fests, fostering creativity and teamwork. With a friendly campus crowd, lush surroundings, and decent connectivity to Bhubaneswar city, the environment is ideal for learning. Scholarships and extracurricular activities further enrich the experience.

Really good for learning but it should be better.
Placements: There are so many companies there. Many of the campus placements are for civil and EEE students, but there are also so many computer students placed with good packages. It's really amazing for our college. I am grateful to have this college. The placement is also good.
Infrastructure: Yeah, I think this college would have better infrastructure. Also, the Wi-Fi of the college campus is not working properly. Also, the library of the college needs to improve, and also may a fest can be arranged for students. Also, the canteen management needs to improve.
Faculty: The teachers are really amazing in studies, but also some teachers are not that much giving their time to the students. Yes, this course is curriculum relevant, but there is also much more to learn for industry readiness. In this college, the semester exams are also a little bit difficult.
Other: I chose this course because it's now in the market.

Not a good college for engineers.
Placements: Most of the companies that visit here give priority to master's students first. The highest package is 7 LPA, and the average package is around 2.5 LPA. The placement is very poor.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. The college campus is always well-maintained, neat, and clean. However, the campus is very small—quite tiny. There are classrooms, a library, and laboratories. Wi-Fi connectivity is available, but the speed is very poor, so it's better to use your own mobile data.
Faculty: The faculty members in the first year are not very good. They sometimes behave towards the students as if they are insignificant. However, after the second year, I cannot speak for other branches, but the computer science faculty members are very good and supportive.
Other: I chose this course because I was preparing for another competitive exam, so I thought the college could help me with study time, but I was wrong. The college's academic schedule is very hectic, leaving little time to learn new skills.

An Honest Review of Gandhi Institute for Technology (GIFT) Autonomous, Bhubaneswar
Placements: About 60-70% of students get placed in the course of Computer Science and Engineering. The highest package is 10-12 LPA, and the lowest package is 3-4 LPA offered in the course of Computer Science and Engineering. The top recruiting companies for Computer Science and Engineering are TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Capgemini, Accenture, and Tech Mahindra. About 60% of students got internships from Computer Science and Engineering at TCS, Wipro, and Infosys. The top roles offered in our course are software engineer, data analyst, testing engineer, web developer, and ethical hacker.
Infrastructure: There are various facilities and infrastructure available for the course of Computer Science and Engineering. Some of them are Wi-Fi connections on all floors, air-conditioned classrooms, separate labs for different branches, and one central library in which there is a digital library and one scholars' cell. There are various facilities available in the canteen and mess, as well as medical facilities and sports and games.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Some are doctorate degree holders also. Their teaching quality is very good and easy to understand. Yes, the course curriculum is very relevant. It makes the students industry-ready. No, it is not very difficult to pass the semester examination. The passing percentage is 40 out of 100 in every subject.
Other: As this course is one of the best engineering courses and also a trending one, that's why I chose it. The best thing about this course is that the syllabus is very good and easy to understand, making it easier to pass the semester examination. The things I want to improve about the course are that the syllabus should be limited and according to the students' level. Events, fests, clubs, and sports teams are also held.

My experience at GIFT college: A comprehensive review.
Placements: Last year, 90% of students were placed. The highest average package was 9 Lacs, and the lowest average package was 4 Lacs. Companies like Infosys, Wipro, and TCS were visited here for campus selection. The companies are also providing internships to 4th and 5th semester students.
Infrastructure: We are provided with a world-class library and well-maintained campus. There is also Wi-Fi available for students to study. There are separate labs for every department. I'm impressed by the quality and hygiene of the mess food. Limited sports facilities are also available.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. They made the concept easy to understand. Semester exams are challenging but manageable. The college provided adequate resources and support. Almost 90% of students pass the exam. 75% attendance is needed too give the semester exam.
Other: I have passion for coding and problem-solving. And also there are exciting career opportunities and job prospects.

Master of Computer Applications (MCA) - Batch of 2026

MCA in GIFT Autonomous Bhubaneswar.
Placements: Seniors said that placements are less, and also students here have less knowledge about the course. About 10 students get placed at a package of 6 LPA, and the rest are at 2-3 LPA or less than that, and most are not placed. The highest package written on the website is 8 LPA, but in the last 4 years, no one is placed at that package. The average package is 4 LPA, and the lowest is 2 LPA. Fewer companies visit, also if you have 60% and above in all the exams, then you can sit in the tech companies; the rest can only sit in startup companies.
Infrastructure: Facilities are good. For the MCA department, there is Wi-Fi, and classes have AC. Faculty members are also good in conversations but not much in teaching. Some teachers are good at teaching, and some are not so good. About hostels, I am a day scholar, but my friends say that their hostel has Wi-Fi, and in one room, 4 students are staying. The rooms are average, and the food is not so good, according to them. But there is a hobby club where gym, music, dance, sports, etc., are available, and they are good.
Faculty: Well, teachers are good. They have good relations with students, also some teachers have good teaching skills, but some teachers are very boring because they are new to some subjects. And yes, they are knowledgeable. In this, students are trained to sit in placements. They are conducting personal interviews and checking students' skills and confidence; according to that, they help them to prepare. There are 3 modular exams having 25 marks each and 25 marks for attendance and assignments, which makes the internal 100 marks. The subject-specific project is 100 marks, and the written semester exam is 100 marks.
Other: I chose this course because I was interested in this MCA course. This course helps students who are interested in getting into tech companies but have financial conditions that make it difficult to afford B.Tech. They can pursue MCA. The syllabus is not so advanced; it should be modified. You have to give the entrance exam OJEE, and if you have a good rank, then you can get the TFW scheme in any college, where tuition fees are deducted. My fees became 24,000 excluding all other fees. There are college scholarships for those who directly join without OJEE counseling and government scholarships for all students.
