GIET Admission 2021: Applications (Open), Eligibility, Process, Fee, Dates

The Gateway Institute of Engineering and Technology (GIET), Sonepat does not offer direct admission for B.Tech. Instead, admission is based on the rank obtained in the GIETEE, CMAT, MAT, CAT, XAT, or OJEE exam. Candidates must also score well in the JEE Main entrance exam. GIET offers merit scholarships to students pursuing B.Tech and BCA. The university is affiliated with DCRUST Murthal and approved by AICTE, India.

According to GIET, candidates who have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics at 12th standard level are eligible for all the B.Tech. Degree Programmes. 

To apply for BTech IT, applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

Pass their 10+2 or equivalent exam with a minimum of 50 percent marks from a recognised institution,

Have majored in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry in high school.

The minimum score required for admission to various courses at the Gateway Institute of Engineering and Technology (GIET) in Sonepat is 50% in the qualifying exam or 45% for candidates in the reserved category. The minimum aggregate marks are 50% or CGPA of 5.5 for General and OBC, and 45% or CGPA of 5.0 for SC and ST Here are the minimum requirements for admission to some of the courses: B.Tech: 10+2 examination in Science stream with minimum 50% aggregate marks. MBA: Graduation degree of a minimum of 3 years duration with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks from any recognised university or institute. M.Tech in Food Supply Chain Management (FSCM): Four Year's Bachelor's Degree or a Master's degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate. The Gateway Institute of Engineering and Technology (GIET) in Sonepat does not refund fees, except for security deposits. The application fee is also non-refundable.

To request a refund, you can contact GIET with your transaction number and original payment receipt.

You can pay for fees online via Paytm, Google Pay, or UPI ID, or offline at the GIET campus.

In addition to get a refund you should contact the accounts department or admission department. Because sometimes they can allow refund for specific cases (if allowed in their norms).

The fee structure for courses at Gateway Institute of Engineering And Technology, Sonipat ranges from Rs. 65,000 to Rs. 80,000 for other undergraduate programs.
