GITAM Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (GIMSR), Visakhapatnam offer three-year Master of Surgery (MS) courses. Admission to the course is through the NEET PG exam score followed by MCC PG medical counselling. GIMSR offers MS in five specialisations, including Obstetrics and gynaecology, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, and Otorhinolaryngology. Candidates seeking admission in these courses must fulfil the eligibility criteria defined by NBE for NEET-PG. The minimum eligibility criteria and selection process are the same for all the MS courses. GIMSR MS course eligibility and selection criteria are:

• Eligibility Criteria: Applicant must have an MBBS degree/provisional pass certificate which is recognised as per the provisions of the Indian Medical Council Act 1956. Additionally, a permanent/ provisional registration certificate of MBBS qualification issued by the Medical Council of India or State Medical Council is also required. The candidate must also have completed the duration of their internship on or before July 31, 2023.

For admission to an MS course at GITAM Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, candidates shall complete the NEET PG application process. There is no other provision for admission. Step to be followed for NEET PG form filling is as follows:

Step 2: Register by entering a few details such as name, date of birth, mobile number, etc.

Step 3: Login with email ID/mobile number and password.

• Upload a recent passport size photograph (Maximum size 80 Kb, in JPG/JPEG format)
