B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering - Batch of 2013

Absolutely dissatisfied because of faculty. Good placements, good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: Many students of my batch placed in good companies like TCS, TATA Motors, Kirloskar etc. Some are placed through the off-campus after some courses like SCADA, SPICE, MATLAB, STATEFLOW, JAVA etc. in Banglore, Pune, Chennai, Hyderabad etc. The average package is 2.75 to 5 lakh per annum. No internships are provided by the college. Those who want to intern on by their own. No stipend is provided by any company.
Infrastructure: WIFI- is installed on the campus but does not work properly everywhere. The lab is good and all equipment works properly. Classrooms are average. The library is nice and good for studies. Only first-aid medicines are available. Only a few sports equipment like volley, cricket, carom, chess etc. are there. The canteen is good and well furnished but the food is not good and hygienic. The hostel is good but not modernised.
Faculty: Some faculty members are good in all aspects like knowledge, experience and qualifications. But most of them were just qualifying BTech and less experienced. They are preparing for other jobs also. If they completed, then they left during the mid of the course.

Other: SKCET, Coimbatore is one of the best college in Tamil Nadu with good campus infrastructure and gardens. Faculty is up to the mark. Facilities provided are good with e-learning and being an autonomous institution, equal weightage is given for both internal and external exams. Cultural and sports meets are celebrated in a grand manner. Moreover, more than 40+ companies visits the college for recruitment every year.

B.Tech. in Civil Engineering - Batch of 2013

A top-rated college in Odisha with an outstanding academic track record.
Placements: All admission seats of the college are completely filled. The highest package is 6.5 LPA and the lowest is 4.2 LPA. About 55 percent of students got internships in different companies nationwide. The college has given its best possible efforts to get its students engaged with many prestigious organisations.
Infrastructure: The college has a good infrastructure. Computer Laboratory, Materials testing Laboratory, Mechanical Laboratory, Electrical Laboratory all are well-equipped. Wi-Fi facilities are available both in the hostel as well as college. They serve good, healthy and delicious food. Canteen is available at college. The medical facility is not available inside the campus. Sports and games equipment are available.
Faculty: Faculty members of the college are highly qualified and knowledgeable. They are very helpful too. They normally conduct doubt clearing and group discussion classes. Lab activities are regularly performed in order to make the students more efficient for the industry.
Other: Being a civil engineer has always been my dream.
