I am satisfied because of placements, infrastructure, facilities and quality education.

Placements: Nearly 40% of the students got placed in renowned companies like Vedanta, IMFA, JSW, etc. They offered the role of assistant engineer. We also get maximum internships. Top roles offered by companies are assistant engineers and assistant managers. Training is available for newcomers to the company.

I am dissatisfied with placements in 2019, and teaching quality should be improved.

Placements: Approximately 30% of the students got placed through off-campus, and 15% of the students got placed through campus in our college. The highest salary package offered was 4.6 LPA, the average salary package offered was 2.70 LPA and the lowest salary package offered was 1.30 LPA. Tech Mahindra, Cellnet, TCS and Wipro visited our college for placements. They hire students as an assistant software engineer. None of the students got an internship.

Our institute is excellent, but we need to maintain unity in our college.

Placements: Almost 50% of the students are placed from our college. The salary offered is Rs. 30,000-60,000 per month. Vedanta is the top recruiting company. Mines manager and other government DDM or IBM sector roles are offered. The lowest salary offered in our course is Rs. 30,000 per month, the average salary offered is Rs. 40,000 per month. The highest salary offered in our course is Rs. 60,000 per month. Almost 100% of students got internships in OMC, Vedanta and IMFA.

Good placements in 2016 batch- all placed (100%), less exposure due to lack of good faculties.

Placements: 1. 40% placement (2019 batch, because of increase in intake seats ), 60% placement (2018 batch) and 90% placement (2017) 2. The highest salary- 7LPA, Average-4LPA, the lowest- 2.8 LPA 3. Top companies are Vedanta private Limited. , IMFA, Serajjuddin, Triveni EarthMovers, etc. 4. Graduate Mining Engineer (Trainee) is the top role. 5. 2.8-7 LPA, Average- 3.8 are the packages offered in my course. 6. 20-30% of students got internship (CSIR-CIMFR, MCL, TATA Joda, Triveni, HCL, Vedanta, etc. ).

If interested in making career in core branches then go for it. Be ready to study hard for GATE.

Placements: The placements are not that good. Every year 5% to 10% students get placed that too from mining branch mostly. The highest package lies between 7- 8 LPA. The average is around 4 LPA. College does not provide internships. Students have to find internships for themselves but most of the students do internships. Vedanta, Coal india, Birla group visits campus for placements. There is training and placement cell. I didn't find it very useful. Students try to get jobs in PSUs through GATE. Many try of...

If you want to choose mining branch, then prefer this college.

Placements: If you want placements in core companies, then you might get only 1 to 2 companies. If you need placements, then choose the mining branch. Students who want to make their careers in mining engineering can join this college. There is no scope for other branches in this college.

Pedagogy of Government College of Engineering, Keonjhar.

Placements: The average salary package is 3 LPA. The placements are excellent for mining engineering, but for other streams, the placement is not up to standard. The pedagogy of college is good, and one can get any job if he/she studies well for GATE or off-campus placements.

Government College of Engineering, Keonjhar reviewed.

Placements: Almost most of the students in Mining branch get placed in reputed mining firms like Vedanta, Jindal, etc. But in the past 3-4 years the placements scenario is pretty bleak because of the global recession in the mining sector. The rest of the students attend pool campus in other government colleges. There's a placements committee that looks into the placements for the students. GET roles are offered. It's not recommended for other branches only if you are interested in Mining engineering it's pe...

A short review about government. College of engineering keonjhar (Department of Civil engineering).

Placements: The branch civil engineering is established in the year 2015. It has not produced any batch of passed students yet. So you can't expect a good campus placement in the near future. The placement for other branches like Mining and Mechanical is quit good. The mining students of 2017 batch they all got placed. In this year four students from mining got placed at Vedanta at a package of 63k per month. Five students from mechanical engineering also got placed at good salary.

Absolutely lazy and selfish management, looting money from the government and students too.

Placements: The one and only branch which is good here is the mining branch. CSE and civil branch are still not AICTE affiliated. The number of permanent faculty members is same as the number of people getting placement from here, extremely less, or in better words, only 2% out of all.

There is an enthusiastic learning atmosphere, where a student can grow technically and ethically.

Placements: There is a complete placement for the mining branch, which has got 100% placement. The other branches experience two types of recruitment drive one was Wipro off-campus, and the university organised it. This campus was a pool campus, which was meant for the only government college of Odisha.
