OJEE or Odisha Joint Entrance Exam is a state-level entrance exam conducted for admission to various graduate and post-graduate courses by the National Testing Agency, NTA. The admissions are provided to various government and private management institutes in the state of Odisha. OJEE exam is held every year in Computer-based mode (CBT).

Q:   Why is solving the previous years' OJEE question papers important?

A:

Solving the OJEE question paper is very important from preparation point of view. Since OJEE is a speed based test where candidates have to read passages, tables and charts, do multiple calculations and solve tricky puzzles, one needs to have prior practice of the same. The OJEE mock tests serve this purpose. However, to know what type of passages and puzzles are there in the OJEE exam, you need to solve previous years' question papers. Some of the benefits of solving previous years' OJEE question paper are:

  1. With the help of previous year's OJEE question paper, you can have an in depth understanding of the latest OJEE exam pattern and marking scheme
  2. Practicing OJEE question papers improves speed and accuracy in solving the questions, which is critical to a speed based exam
  3. Practicing OJEE question papers improves time management skills as you would get to know which type of questions take how much time.
  4. When you practice OJEE question papers, you gain confidence that you can solve all types of OJEE questions. This confidence helps in performing better in the exam.
  5. Regularly solving OJEE question papers will help the candidates in discovering new tricks of solving all kinds of questions easily and accurately.

Q:   What are the most important topics of the OJEE question paper?

A:

The important topics in the OJEE (Odisha Joint Entrance Examination) syllabus can vary depending on the specific course you are applying for. Here are some of the key subjects and topics that are generally considered important for MBA course covered by OJEE:

  • Verbal Reasoning: Reading Comprehension, Vocabulary, Grammar, Sentence Correction, Paragraph Jumbles, Passages, Analogy, Antonyms, Word Puzzles, Idioms, etc.
  • Quantitative Reasoning: Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Data Interpretation, Number Series, Probablity, Trigonometry, Percentage, Profit and Loss, Time, Speed and Distance, etc.
  • Analytical and Logical Reasoning: Puzzles, Blood Relations, Seating Arrangements, Coding-Decoding, Time and Sequence, Series, etc.
  • General Awareness and Buisness Fundamentals: Codes in Data Communication, Data Structuring, Terminals, Networking, Economics and Policies, Current Affairs, General Awareness regarding National Stock Exchanges, Budget, International Events, Financial and Budget Related Topics, Cinema and Awards, etc.

It's crucial to thoroughly understand the entire OJEE syllabus and practice a wide range of questions. Focus on strengthening your basics and mastering the concepts in the topics that you find challenging.

Q:   Is the OJEE answer key the same for all sets of question papers?

A:

No, the OJEE answer key cannot be the same for all sets of the OJEE question papers. OJEE conducts its examination using multiple sets of question papers to prevent unfair advantages and to maintain exam integrity. Each set of question papers may have variations in the order of questions or the specific questions themselves while covering the same syllabus.

To ensure accuracy and fairness, OJEE prepares a separate answer key for each set of question papers. This means that the answer key for Set A will correspond to the questions in Set A, and the answer key for Set B will correspond to the questions in Set B, and so on. Candidates are expected to download and use the correct answer key that corresponds to the set of question papers they received during the OJEE examination. Using the correct answer key is essential for accurately evaluating their performance and estimating their scores.

OJEE is conducted for admission to courses such as MBA/PGDMMCAM.TechB.TechB.Pharm, Lateral Entry B.Tech, and Lateral Entry MCA courses. The registrations for Special OJEE will likely begin in the first week of June 2025. In this article, you will read all about the OJEE 2025 registration process and exam, including OJEE dates, registration process, fees, eligibility criteria, counselling and OJEE syllabus and exam pattern.
