A Brief Review of Government College of Engineering, Keonjhar.

Placements: In my course, most of the students are placed, but the salary for freshers is quite low, so a little percentage of students accepted the job. The highest package is 7 LPA by Tata Power. Tata, Adani, Tech Mahindra, and Wipro are our top recruiters. The top role is manager post, which is given in Tata Power.

Mining is the best course here - be wise.

Placements: Around 30 to 40 percent of students got placed, with the highest package being around 16 LPA and the lowest around 3.5 LPA. The top recruiting companies for our course were Vedanta, JSW, and OMC. Almost 70 to 80 percent of the students got internships at OMC, MCL, Vedanta, and many others. I don't have information about the top roles offered.

The college is good, but not as much as I expected .

Placements: Around 50-60 percent of students were placed in this course. The students are placed in both on-campus and off-campus. The highest package is 6 Lacs per annum, the lowest is 2 Lacs per annum, and the average package is around 4 Lakhs per annum. TCS is the top recruiting company in our college. No internships are conducted in our college. Your chance of getting placed is not worth it. The top roles offered in our course are web-developed.

Satisfied, but it's not that good a college as I expected.

Placements: Like 30 to 40 students are placed every year from our course. Roles such as software development, web development, and data science are offered in our college.

Comprehensive learning experience with strong placements and a vibrant campus life.

Placements: The placement scenario for computer science has shown remarkable results, with 70% of the batch successfully securing the job in a reputed organization. The diversity in packages is noteworthy, with the highest package soaring to an impressive 5 LPA while the lowest package remains competitive at 2-3 LPA.

This college is average. If you have a budget of 120000 per year, then you can consider it.

Placements: Students who have more than 70% can easily enter the college. 15 Lacs to 30k Tata, Hero, and many others are there; you know, using a browser. It is almost 70 to 80%. Behavior, confidence level, and skill are important and play a role.

If you want to choose mining branch, then prefer this college.

Placements: If you want placements in core companies, then you might get only 1 to 2 companies. If you need placements, then choose the mining branch. Students who want to make their careers in mining engineering can join this college. There is no scope for other branches in this college.

Developing College with good infrastructure, placements are satisfactory.

Placements: The placements of seniors went satisfactory. Only 5% students were placed in 2017. the highest package is Rs7.2 LPA and the lowest is Rs3.6 LPA. Vedanta, IMFA, Kisco Castings Limited and Tega Industries visited the campus. All were posted to Junior Manager. Almost all students do internships. No stipend has been given in internships. Yes, there is a placement cell. It helps in giving internships to all students and helps in placement of Final Year students.

There is an enthusiastic learning atmosphere, where a student can grow technically and ethically.

Placements: There is a complete placement for the mining branch, which has got 100% placement. The other branches experience two types of recruitment drive one was Wipro off-campus, and the university organised it. This campus was a pool campus, which was meant for the only government college of Odisha.

It is a good technical institution.

Placements: Out of 60 students, only 3 students got selected through off-campus. Since its distance is more from the state capital, companies are interested in visiting our college for placements. At our time, no software branch was available, so software companies did not visit our campus for placements.
