Absolutely dissatisfied with the infrastructure of the hostel and the facilities.

Placements: Up to 30 to 40% students got placement last year. The highest package was 6.5 LPA and the minimum was 2 LPA. Everyone got different types of roles in their particular company. For example, someone got the role of quality control, and someone else got into maintenance, etc.

Review of Government Engineering College, Gandhinagar.

Placements: Almost only 20 percent of students get placement from college; you also have to try for off-campus placement. The highest package from our college is 6 LPA; many students get internships off campus. Therefore, during academics, students should also have to apply for internships.

Review of Government Engineering College, Gandhinagar.

Placements: The placement is good as per the government college. But there are few placements worse than even possible. You have to either sit for placement or study higher; there is no option for both as per the circular. The highest package is 7-10 LPA. The lowest is 1-1.5 LPA. Instead of this, learn new skills and try off placement, then go for a low one.

Not disappointed by the faculty but a bit disappointed in placement and internship facilities.

Placements: The highest package is said to be 6 LPA, and the average package is 2.3 LPA. The internship facilities are not refined here. One can get a job as a software engineer or an IT manager at some tech firm if they have maintained a good academic score.

I am satisfied with faculty members.

Placements: About 30% of students got placed in our course. The highest salary package offered is 8 LPA. The average salary package offered is 5 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered ranges between 1 LPA - 2 LPA. TCS is the top recruiting company. This company recruits many students. Students mostly go in the software field and also in designing parts like chip designing.

This is a superb college for campus experience.

Placements: Placements are very nice in this college. Every year, 70% students get jobs from here. Jobs are offered branch wise. The highest package offered ranges from 12-15 LPA and the lowest is about 3-4 LPA.

Great infrastructure by government which is kind of wasted by teaching methodology.

Placements: I'm rating placements as below average because they don't invite any big name for placements like tcs, infosys, wipro. All the companies which came for placements are mostly startups and they usually pay around 10-15k/month. In some companies, there was a rule like you have to do 6 month unpaid/less paid internships before joining as full time employee.

This college is good for students who want to join in government college.

Placements: Almost more than 60% of the students are estimated to get placed this year with the lowest salary package of 2.5 LPA to 4 LPA. The major part of those placements is off-campus drives, while only 1 company visited our campus with a stipend of Rs. 8,000 per month. In off-campus opportunities, companies like Volansys, TCS, Capgemini, Cognizant, Wipro, etc., offered placements. Among them, only Volansys is a core company.

I am satisfied with the best faculty and good placements.

Placements: Our college has the best placements. Every year, about 60% of the students from our course get placements. The average salary package offered ranges between 1.5-3 LPA. Our department teachers also teach us for interviews. In our department, placements are much better than other government colleges.

All is best when students find best teachers, campus and there kids with the honesty.

Placements: There were 45% around students get placed because of lack of biomedical companies that is problematic conditions for college student. We often required to improve the practical knowledge also. As an biomedical engineer we find the technical issues in medical instructions and find relevant solution and calibrate the machinery. Medical image, diagnostic and rehabilitation are research branch of biomedical, biomechanics is something that now a days increasing the scope of study.

Government Engineering College, Gandhinagar is the best college.

Placements: Placements in our college are average. However, the advantage is that the student can get a place for the placement programme held in the city as Gandhinagar is a capital city. Many such events are conducted here. It is a good college in Gandhinagar.

Good college for those who don't get high rank and want admission in government college.

Placements: Placements of our college are very low which is about 5%, and the companies come here are 1 or 2. Off-campus is there in nearby LDRP from our college, but it doesn't depend on that. Make your road clear by yourself. Those students who come here also don't think about his/her future. Also, the faculty does not support the students, I think so, and it is the overall fault of the students' faculty and management system. There is also no placement cell in our college.

Satisfied with faculties. But college lacks on placement, industrial exposure, sports and canteen.

Placements: In my department, no company have come for the placements. Although we had two pool campus placements, one of Wipro which was IT-related and the other was E-info chip which was EC related, but the salary offered was very less and 3 years bond will be signed. The salary offered is not more than 3 LPA. Out of 120 students 4 have got placed. Don't expect much placement in EC department. As far as the internship is concerned, the college won't provide internships. So, it depends on the individual to...

Placements: Last year (2017) 2-3 companies visited for placement in metallurgy engineering at Government Engineering College Gandhinagar. The first is GIFCO which is a government company and they did not select any candidate from our college. They offer 24-25000 salary per month. But they took no candidate from GEC Gandhinagar. It's good by education and exams but not by placement.

Placements: Placements are not that good. We need more placement and even at the time of internship, we are told to search on our own. The education is good but we don't have any idea about our job. How we will get, but surely we hope will get one, but else gecg is good.
