In my college, the placement facility is not so good AS compared to other government colleges of Gujarat, especially for the instrumentation and control department.

Mixed faculty quality; some are excellent, while others are poor. Average placements.
Placements: There is a 40-45% placement ratio for our course here every year. The highest package is 7 LPA, and the lowest is 2 LPA, with the average being 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Odoo, Meditab, and previously TCS have been the top recruiters for the past 2 years. The placement percentage for internships is the same. Top roles are Software Developer, Backend Developer, AI/ML Engineer, and Business Development Executive.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available in limited areas. Computer labs are there but not in good condition. Classrooms are good and also have projectors. I do not have experience with the hostel, but it can be said to be average. Water is not available in the toilets, and the drinking water is not good.
Faculty: Some teachers are highly knowledgeable and dedicated, while others lack interest in teaching. The course curriculum is average, with limited practical exposure. GTU exams are challenging, and the passing criteria require 33%, making it tough for students to excel without proper guidance.
Other: I was interested in IT, and the collection of fields is less. Teaching can be improved. Only a few events were organized.

Placements and faculty are poor.
Placements: In our college, 30% of students are placed in the Computer Engineering course. The highest placement in our college is 7 LPA and the lowest is 1 LPA. Some companies also come to our college. 80% of students get internships in Odoo, etc. The top role offered is development.
Infrastructure: In our college, Government Engineering College Gandhinagar, facilities like Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and the library are not the best, but they are average. The Wi-Fi sometimes does not work properly. The hostel is also average, and sometimes we face difficulties like water issues.
Faculty: In our college, Government Engineering College Gandhinagar, our teachers completed their graduation from IIT Bombay, but their teaching skills are very poor. Our semester exams are average, not the hardest and not the easiest, but average. The passing marks are 23 out of 70.
Other: I chose BE in Computer Engineering because it is required and its placement is high because companies offer high packages. Teaching skills in my college are not good, so I think it is important to improve them. Events, fests, etc., are not good to celebrate because our department principal takes all of this money and puts it in their pockets.

Not disappointed by the faculty but a bit disappointed in placement and internship facilities.
Placements: The highest package is said to be 6 LPA, and the average package is 2.3 LPA. The internship facilities are not refined here. One can get a job as a software engineer or an IT manager at some tech firm if they have maintained a good academic score.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure here is not that good. Wi-Fi is very poor. The classrooms are not properly managed; though some classes are quite good, most of them require renovation. The college ground is uneven, and some classes need to be aggressively swept.
Faculty: The faculty here are qualified, very helpful, and knowledgeable. But the course curriculum is irrelevant; to be honest, it doesn't make students industry-ready. The semester exams are quite precise. The exams are good, but the exam structure is quite miserable.
Other: I chose computer science because I have had an interest in the intricacies of computer operations since childhood. If the course primarily focused on improving the coding skills and competitive programming of students, then it would be the cherry on top.

A good place to learn with love and bonding with each other.
Placements: There are around 50% to 60% students who get placed. As of 2023, the highest package is 12 Lacs per annum and the lowest is around 2 Lacs per annum. TCS is the top recruiting company. Generally, there is no internship from the college; students have to find one on their own. It generally depends on the criteria of the company.
Infrastructure: All the facilities are available on the campus, but they are not well maintained by the users. Especially, toilets are not cleaned well and water management is weak. There is quite a good meal available, but it is not healthy. A number of snacks are available in the canteen.
Faculty: The teaching quality is good and teachers are very helpful. They push us in every difficulty. Especially, they motivate us in our hard times and give us support. It is average as it does not provide all the knowledge of present technology. Most of the parts are of past inventions and their importance only. But it is good to understand the basics of particular problems. The exam is not difficult as compared to other competitive exams. If a student's concepts are clear, they can easily score good marks. The passing percentage is 33 marks out of 70 in the final paper and 12 out of 30 in college internals .
Other: As this course does not require fieldwork, I chose it and the best part is that it gives a handsome salary. I wish that instead of learning about old technology, it must be replaced with new technology. All the extracurricular activities are held at fixed intervals by the facilities along with the senior students.

Mysterious Journey to My College Life.
Placements: Last year, the lowest package in GEC was 1.8 Lacs, and the highest was 12 Lacs. Nearly 50-60 applied for placement, and 90%+ got placed. Companies like TCS, IBM, Infocity, etc. hired students. Most of the students didn't go for the placement but instead chose to do a master's, other courses, or off-campus placements.
Infrastructure: There are in total 8 buildings or blocks in our college, which include one library, one canteen, and one administrative office. The college has Wi-Fi facilities, but the speed is a little slow, though useful if needed. There are labs, but some of the computers are not working well, and some classrooms have broken windows and tables.
Faculty: All the teachers teaching in the college are highly qualified and have master's or Ph.D. degrees and are highly knowledgeable. The teaching quality is good, but using projectors can help students understand high-level subjects like BME, BEE, BE, etc. Our exams are held by GTU. Exams are not much difficult, but sometimes papers are lengthy.
Other: I chose this course and college because it was the only government college I could get into if I wanted to do CE. Scholarships are provided, and the verification process is done in college as well. The college doesn't have sports facilities, and this is the thing I dislike about the college the most because without sports and sports events, college life is not like you dream about. There is a small ground, which is very small, and you can't play games like hockey and handball. Events are there but not like every other college, and I have been here for 1.5 years, but I haven't seen any fest yet.

Review of Government Engineering College, Gandhinagar.
Placements: Almost only 20 percent of students get placement from college; you also have to try for off-campus placement. The highest package from our college is 6 LPA; many students get internships off campus. Therefore, during academics, students should also have to apply for internships.
Infrastructure: Our college campus is good; it also provides LB facilities on the college campus. We also have a small canteen available for students, but the food quality is not good. One library is also available in our college for college students. We can study and borrow some books from the library.
Faculty: Some of the faculty are really good and supportive. In each semester at our university, we conduct two exams (that is, one is a mid-semester exam and the other one is the semester exam). The passing marks for each exam for students are 30 percent. They have to score a minimum of 30 percent of total marks.
