Good faculty and infrastructure

Placements: The placement is not that much good in our college, because it is far away from the city, and there are no good companies near our college. Every year, only 2-3 companies are there who visit our college for hiring students or for the placement of the students. The highest package offered to a student was 5.5 lakhs per annum and the lowest package offered to a student was 2 lakhs per annum. The average package of our college for the placed students is nearly 3 lakhs per annum. 30-35% of the stude...

The honest review of Government Engineering College, Patan.

Placements: The placement facility at government engineering college, Patan is not available. In the beginning, some placement was done. Also, there is no placement cell available in the college. The placement rating is zero out five. The students who hope for getting placed would get disappointed. Also, no faculty is handling the stuff about placement.

The best college to do engineering from.

Placements: About 30 percent of the students were selected from the college. About 2.5 to 5.0 lacs was the package offered to the students. In this college, job placement is done by the most popular companies every year. Many students are selected every year. Those companies offer attractive packages.

Optimistic about improved quality and placements of a college with potential but no kinetic energy.

Placements: The scope of placement was very narrow. Only 2-3 companies recruited the students, that too through pooled campus interviews of 3 colleges. Out of around 150 students, not even 15 were placed. And the companies that visited were not too good either. Salary packages as low as Rs. 1,20,000 were offered. Such was the case that no student, even toppers, had any true hopes of getting a good job through placements.

Review of Government Engineering College, Patan.

Placements: The placement was good. Approximately 40-50% students were placed at reputed companies in Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Baroda and many other in Gujarat as well as in India. One company has offered 5.75 lacs PA and the lowest was 1.30 lacs. The companies which visited are Hi-Tech 360, C&C Fabrication, Mahabharat Engineering Works, Seimens NX CAD Designing, Design Tech, etc. Different level roles were offered like Jr engineer, management engineer and quality engineer. No internship is offered by the college...

Satisfied. It is the best college.

Placements: No students were placed from my batch but in 2015, our seniors were placed. 2 local companies visited our college and offered 2.4-2.8lakhs to 4 seniors. For our batch, no company visited for placements. The experience shared by my seniors about their job after selection in the placement was not too good but the good thing about our college is it helps us in the preparation of interview after the completion of the course.

If you can do self study, then only come to this college.

Placements: Placements are rare in my college. No company has come for electronics and communication department since 3 years. In mechanical department, there is a very high criterion for placement and most of the students can't make it. A company came for computer department but only took 2 students.

enjoyable life with self study

Placements: There is no fixed ratio for placements, but sometimes, some students get placed in good companies. If you choose this college, do not depend on placements because they are very poor. There is a possibility to get selected in placements but it is helpful that you are coming from a government college and not from private. Your chance to get a job also increases.

Government provides all of the facilities, but the faculty members are unable to operate them.

Placements: Very few students got placed. Only local companies visited the campus. The salary package offered was around 4 LPA-5 LPA. Most students got internships from local companies. The top roles offered were manufacturing and maintenance of all the equipment in the companies.

We have very well-experienced faculty members.

Placements: In 2022, almost 10-15% of students were placed at our college. The highest salary package offered is 3 LPA and the average package offered is 2 LPA. All the top Ahmedabad companies visited to recruit this year, but almost all of them left barehanded. Top roles offered by those companies are site engineers.

Really good infrastructure, supporting faculty members, and a good study environment.

Placements: There is still a need for improving placement services. Due to the remote location from main metro cities, there are only medium opportunities for placements, but the staff try their best to facilitate placements on the campus from around companies and it will definitely improve.

The college is at par with good engineering colleges.

Placements: In the computer science branch, there are maximum placements. From last few years statistics, around 80% of the students from computer science got placed. Top tech companies visit our college. The highest salary package offered is 12 LPA, and the average salary package offered is 5.5 LPA for the CSE branch.

I am dissatisfied with the college.

Placements: 70% of students got placed in our college. Only 33% of students got internships from our course. The top role offered in our course is the main engineer. The top recruiting companies for our course are not the best.

If you are concerned about your mental condition, then do read it.

Placements: Basically, I know no one who was placed from the college. And all of my seniors were placed by themselves applying for different companies, but not from college. The highest salary was 35,000/- but as I said not because of college it was because of their own talent. Companies like Teksun, Siemens also come, but take students in really low payments.

I like this college, and it is my dream college.

Placements: It is a government engineering college. In our senior batch, approximate 18 students got placed. Placements are good enough for a government engineering college, and our college is rank 33rd in GTU colleges which is good enough. Our college campus is very good for studying, and I like this college.

GEC PATAN- An honest review.

Placements: New placement cell is formed this year which offers placements in various companies. The companies come recruit employees by interview. The average pay they offer is varies from 120000-180000k per annum. The college also recommends students to various industries for training.

Our college is the best college in the world.

Placements: There were chances of getting a salary package offered up to 10 LPA. There are fewer possibilities of placements by taking electrical, mechanical or civil branches. Computer science and information technology branches had enough teachers for teaching.
