GEC is good if you want to prepare for exams, and need ample free time.

Placements: Campus placements are not conducted in the college till now, and they might be offered in the upcoming years. You will have to go for GATE or other competitive exams. Thus, the students should start preparation from the third year itself. You will surely get enough time to prepare for exams.

A review of Government Engineering College, Raipur.

Placements: There is a TPO cell in GEC, Raipur. It is quite new. Don't expect high-paying jobs from the college. Placements are average, and they are not good for core branches. CSE students might get placed. You have to prepare for GATE or other government exams to get placed in core companies. Otherwise, you can get a marketing or sales job through campus placements.

Review of Government Engineering College, Raipur.

Placements: GEC, Raipur does not provide placements to the students as it is recently shifted to Sejbahar, Raipur. The old campus of GEC, Raipur is now the campus of NIT Raipur, so the training and placement cell is poor. The condition might be improved in the coming year, and the students may get placed.

The review of Government Engineering College.

Placements: Our senior has got good placements on the campus. Most of the students opted to attend the placements while the others wanted to do a master degree in a particular subject, but the students who attended for an interview got jobs in their hands.

Condition of government colleges.

Placements: No campus placements are offered yet. 0% of the students were placed. There is no placement cell in our college. Students after completing graduation move to IT cities for seeking jobs but very few person gets it. Many students switch there carries and move to another field. More than 50% prepares for a government job because they know that no company is going to hire them.

Government engineering college, Raipur.

Placements: Our senior students haven't placed yet. But more than 40 percent of the students chose to public services and rest are preparing for PSU's. Only a few students want to do a job in the private companies. Earlier, TCS, Infosys, Eccencher and the other private companies of Raipur like BMW and Mercedez showroom also visited for the campus selection. Recently a student a got placed by TCS of worth 3.95 lacs per annum of branch computer science. The quality of the education programme running by our pr...

Bad placements, below average faculties but good infrastructure.

Placements: Placements were pathetic as none of the placement companies visited our campus. The only students who got placed were ones who cracked the GATE exam or through open placements. Students here do get a chance for vocational training but with zero stipends. For vocational training purposes, they themselves have to send the requirement to the companies as the college does not provide such a facility.

Dissatisfied campus life and crowd.

Placements: We do not have on-campus placement. However, most of our seniors opted for off-campus placement and are placed as junior engineer in PWD. So you can opt for offline placement as a high percentage of students get government jobs. Few companies like Bhilai Steel Plant visit the campus.

GEC BILASPUR is one of the best college and most oldest engineering college of Chhattisgarh. The faculty is very good and also appoint part time teachers. But library is not up to date. Campus and placement does not up to the mark. But public sectors prefer to take engineers graduated from GEC Bilaspur. Morever, the fee is very less as compared to private colleges. The fee for general candidates is 18000 per year. I do my graduation in mechanical engineering from this college. It ha...

The college is located out of the city, but it is easy to reach. The infrastructure is good. There is no hostel or transport facility provided by the college. No canteen and mess also. However, getting admission in this college is not that easy as it is one of the most prestigious one in the state. The annual college fees is very cheap. The education quality is very poor. But attendance is not a major issue in this college. Practical lab work is not satisfactory. Permanent and experienced teache...

Overall, this college is good if you are interested in off-campus placements.

Placements: Placements here in our college are average, but they provide many resources and platforms to engage ourselves in various internships in many different companies with high packages. It is a good college if we talk about off-campus placements because our seniors are really at good places with favorable packages.

It's better than private ones.

Placements: A total of 50-60 percent of students get placed every year. The highest package till now is ten Lacs and has an average of four-five Lacs. TCS and HCL are the companies that recruit most of the students. You have to suffer here for getting paid internships, it's a drawback of this college.

Placements: Very less placements were present in my college. It needs to be developed with good placement opportunities. The highest placement was of 2 Lacs and the lowest package was of 1 Lac. Students got internship opportunities with the help of the college.

I am satisfied with the college as it is developing.

Placements: Almost 20% of the placements are done. The highest salary package offered is 4 LPA. Byju's visited our campus for placements. A manager post is offered to students. For our batch, the lowest salary package offered is 1 LPA, and the highest salary package offered is 10 LPA. Every year, students do an internship in different companies through campus and off-campus placements.

Our college provides good infrastructure and faculty members.

Placements: Our seniors have no placements till date. Only some students who scored high rank got placed, which results in less placement. There were very only a few companies which resulted in fewer placements.
