Absolutely, I loved it here—good placements, but it needs to improve infrastructure.
Placements: Almost 100 percent since it is a government college, everybody gets settled. Package varies from 40k to 60k per month. Mostly, it is government jobs, and some do PG or house jobs; a few get jobs in government hospitals as well. Everybody gets an internship in their own college, mainly as physicians, and internships in other subjects as well.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available. Classrooms are average without AC, only a few fans. The library isn't that good, also without AC and congested. The hostel is also congested and difficult to get into during the first year. The canteen is also below average. There is an indoor stadium present and a good field to play football and cricket.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified, knowledgeable, and humble; they make you feel like a father or elder brother. They teach both in classrooms and on the grounds with them. The course curriculum is new but good for students. Exams aren’t that difficult, and the pass percentage is almost 99 percent. Rarely, 2 or 4 students out of 180 fail.
Other: I chose this course because it has a secure career in the future and guarantees a job. I wish we had better infrastructure and better distribution of the syllabus. You will get 2 or 3 tours with the college, like an all-India tour, etc.

    This is the best college.
Placements: This college has a placement rate of more than 90%. After completing a four-year degree, every medical student is required to complete a one-year internship with a stipend of Rs. 12,800 per month. Almost 80% of students clear NEET PG after graduating.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is lagging. Classrooms are not up to date. There are no air conditioners in the classrooms. Inadequate heating arrangements during the winter make it difficult for students to attend classes. The library is not spacious. It can accommodate only 100 students at a time. Books present in the library are also not of the latest edition. There is no canteen in the college. However, labs are well equipped with the best and latest machines. Wi-Fi is also limited to the library section. The hostel is not good. It requires renovation. The hostel food is decent and affordable.
Faculty: Faculty members are great. All faculty members are well-qualified and excellent at teaching. The MBBS curriculum is very good and balanced. It prepares students in the best way possible. Every year, 4 exams are conducted. There are 3 internal exams and one professional exam. The exams are quite tough. You need to score 50 marks in each subject to pass.

    An overall good college..
Placements: The Government Medical College in Srinagar is a good college with excellent infrastructure and well-qualified faculty. It offers the MBBS course with an intake of 180 students per year. After the four and a half year course, every student gets a paid internship of one year. The stipend for interns is currently Rs 12,300 and is expected to be increased soon. The college has seven associated hospitals, including one super specialty hospital.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is okay, and the college is 65 years old, so necessary renovations are done from time to time. However, there are still lots of things that could be improved. The equipment and facilities are excellent and on par with any medical college of the highest standard. There is no college canteen, but students can use the hospital canteen. Hostels have proper canteens, and the food quality is good. Sports activities are given priority by proper budget allocation, and every year there is an annual sports meet where students and faculty members participate. The best batch is chosen, and proper teams are formed for intercollegiate tournaments.
Faculty: The Government Medical College (GMC) in Srinagar has a highly qualified and experienced faculty. The college has sufficient faculty, with the highest number of faculty in the Anatomy department (63 faculty staff). The curriculum is relevant and follows the norms laid down by the National Medical Council. Semester and professional examinations are conducted by the University of Kashmir. The pass percentage varies from year to year.

Hostel facilities here are not good compared to other colleges.
Placements: There are 180 students in our batch. Currently, we are in the second year of MBBS. Everyone in our college gets an internship. After the completion of this course, we get a salary of Rs. 50000 per month to Rs. 100000 per month. We get the seats of demonstrators, lecturers, assistant professors, and professors in both clinical and nonclinical branches.
Infrastructure: There are not many facilities. Wi-Fi is available only on college premises. Every classroom has old furniture. The library is small, and it does not have air conditioning. Hostels do not provide good facilities. There are 3 students in a single room. There is a lot of congestion. The food in the mess is not good.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and qualified. The teaching quality is not good. Exams are very difficult. About 90% of students remain depressed because of difficult internal assessments. Around 50% of students fail internal assessments. Final exams are better than internals, so nearly 90% of students pass them.

I am absolutely satisfied with this college as it has been producing the best doctors for years.
Placements: It is a prestigious medical college in this state. It produces the best doctors. Students from this college get placements abroad as well as in the country. It is the best college in terms of academics and research.
Infrastructure: Overall, the infrastructure is not that good but it is being improved by the authorities. Hostel rooms are good but they are not that great. Games and sports have been improved in a few years. It has the best ground in the state. The mess and canteen are still in process. It will take some time for these things.
Faculty: It has the best faculty members. They are well qualified. They have good teaching skills. This college strictly follows NMC curriculum, and exams are conducted on time. The college conducts annual exams. The curriculum makes students ready for practical fields.
