Diploma in Computer Engineering - Batch of 2026

Solid Academics but Limited Campus Life and Activities
Placements: The placement and job opportunities at the college are somewhat limited. Out of a batch of 70 students, only around 10 students typically get internships through the college. The rest of the students are required to find their own internship opportunities. This makes it essential for students to actively network and search for internships independently if they want to gain practical experience. Internships are compulsory for all students as part of the curriculum, so while securing one is mandatory, the responsibility largely falls on the students themselves to ensure they find a good opportunity. As for campus placements, the average salary package offered is around 4.9 LPA. While this is a decent starting point, it's not very high compared to some other institutions. The placement process is available, but competition is fierce, and only a certain number of students are placed each year. For those who are not placed through campus recruitment, it's important to focus on enhancing employability skills, such as internships, certifications, networking, and personal projects, to increase job prospects after completing the course.
Infrastructure: The hostel accommodation is reasonably priced, with the annual fee being 1,100 for Open Category students and 550 for Reserved Category students. The rooms are fairly spacious, measuring 15 feet by 15 feet, and are equipped with basic amenities such as a mattress, bed, cupboard, and table. The accommodation is quite affordable, making it a good option for students on a budget. However, the hostel mess could be improved. The food quality is not very good, and while the mess fee is 2,000 per month, many students recommend eating outside for better options. The mess may not be the most suitable for those who prefer a variety of food or higher-quality meals. In terms of infrastructure, the hostel provides basic facilities, but there aren't many additional amenities like common areas or entertainment options. The hostel has a capacity to accommodate 540 boys and 180 girls per year, with room location based on merit. If you're interested in applying for a hostel room, the process typically involves submitting an application and waiting for a seat to be allocated based on your merit and availability.
Faculty: The faculty at the college are knowledgeable and bring strong academic expertise to the classroom. While they are highly qualified in their respective fields, I’ve found that they are not always very proactive in providing support or guidance unless you specifically ask. This means you sometimes have to insist or follow up to get the help or clarifications you need, but when they do provide input, it is generally insightful and valuable. The curriculum is well-structured and up-to-date, ensuring that students are learning relevant and modern concepts. For example, we are currently studying in-demand technologies like REST APIs and Node.js, which are highly applicable in the tech industry. The curriculum also balances theoretical knowledge with practical application, allowing students to develop both problem-solving skills and hands-on experience. However, the workload can sometimes feel overwhelming due to the volume of subjects covered and the depth of the material. As for exams, the assessment process includes both internal and external evaluation. Internal exams contribute to the overall grade and are usually based on assignments, projects, and periodic tests. While the exam system is generally fair, it can sometimes feel like the internal marks are influenced by personal rapport with faculty, which may not always be ideal. The external exams are conducted according to the university schedule and are designed to test the understanding of core concepts covered throughout the course.
Other: My batch consists of around 70 students, and we are pursuing a course designed to equip us with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills required in the tech industry. The course is well-structured, covering a wide range of topics, from fundamental concepts to modern technologies such as REST APIs, Node.js, and web development. One of the best things about this course is its relevance to current industry trends, which ensures that we are learning skills that are in high demand. The practical approach to learning, where students are encouraged to apply concepts through projects and assignments, is also a significant advantage. I chose this course because I have a strong interest in technology and software development. The course seemed like the perfect fit to help me gain the technical skills I need for a successful career in the tech industry. Additionally, the growing demand for developers and software engineers made this an ideal choice for my future. However, there are areas where the course could be improved. The pace can sometimes be overwhelming, with a heavy workload and a lot of subjects to cover in a short amount of time. It would be helpful if there were more focus on practical hands-on sessions, as this would allow us to gain more real-world experience. Additionally, more exposure to emerging technologies and opportunities for research or innovation could further enhance the learning experience. In terms of extracurricular activities, the college offers limited options. There is only one annual fest, and campus life beyond academics is quite subdued. There are no dedicated sports events or ongoing co-curricular activities. As a result, the campus feels relatively quiet and doesn’t offer much in terms of social engagement or recreation. The campus is well-connected, but the surrounding area lacks much in terms of entertainment or facilities beyond the academic environment. The scholarship opportunities are available, particularly for students from Reserved Categories, but the process can sometimes be a bit complicated. It is essential for students to apply on time, as failure to do so could result in having to pay higher fees. Overall, while the course provides a solid academic foundation and prepares us for the tech industry, there is a need for improvement in terms of extracurricular opportunities, practical learning experiences, and campus life to create a more holistic college experience.

Absolutely satisfied with this college.
Placements: 60 percent of students at my college were placed in different companies, and 7.5 lacs is the highest package offered by the retail industry, and the lowest package is about 2 lacs. Cognizant is the top recruiting company. One disadvantage is that the student has to get an internship on their own capabilities; college doesn't interfere in it.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is very clean and healthy. There are more than 10 hostels, which are very clean and safe with watchmen. The college has a good Wi-Fi connection in the labs, and the labs have very standard equipment. The quality of the food mess is very cheap; my personal opinion is to join a private mess.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, qualified and knowledgeable, all the teachers have masters degree in engineering; some teachers also have Ph.D. courses; the curriculum is very relevant and up-to-date, and this helps students get industry-ready semister college exam are moderate.

Best Diploma College in Pune if you can’t afford the private ones.
Placements: The college helps you with providing on-campus placements. Not many students take interest in the on-campus placements drives because the package offered aren't that great. An average package is about 1.5 LPA to 4 LPA max. Tata consultancy offered placements to us.
Infrastructure: Our infrastructure is the best when compared to the others departments. We have great facilities of clean and ventilated labs along with 20 computers and a fast internet connection in each lab. Library issues us books for a certain time period but we got to return them.
Faculty: The teachers are well qualified and have their Masters degrees. The curriculum is well designed and helps in building an independent engineer. The exams are neither too easy nor too difficult, they are moderate. Passing percentage is 35%. Supervision is strict during the exams.
Other: Not many events take place. Sports are conducted once in a year. They should increase the number of events and should be open minded regarding many things and also provide us with well behaved watchmen.

Review of Government Polytechnic Pune.
Placements: Placements are pretty good at this college. The more marks you get, the more packages you get for the placement. People do prefer placement in diplomas, as if you get placed in Tata or Birla, you might get experience and also get a scholarship from them.
Infrastructure: The college is pretty old, but it is still maintained the way it should be. The canteen and medical services are also good. There are not a lot of sports and games. The food in the canteen is worth the money. The infrastructure is also good, and from inside there are good Wi-Fi connections.
Faculty: Yes, the teachers are knowledgeable and qualified. I kept it up-to-date and changed to a new version every year. As a diploma student, it is important to pass the exams. neither easy nor difficult. But if you study properly, then it is easy in that way. The college also takes students on an industrial visit, which makes them ready for industry.

It is a good college in terms of academics and placements.
Placements: More than 40% of students got placed in our batch. Top companies like Bajaj Auto, Tata, Aeron, L&T, etc., visit our college. The highest salary package offered is 4.2 LPA. The average salary package offered is 3.5 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 2.5 LPA.
Infrastructure: All classrooms and the campus are good. The hostel is not clean. Our college does not provide many facilities. We have a small library. It does not have many books. There is a water problem in the hostel. The hostel staff is not friendly.
Faculty: Our faculty members are very good and experienced. They are friendly and helpful. The course curriculum is good. It provides both theoretical and practical knowledge. Semester exams are average. The pass percentage is above 90%.
Other: I chose this course because it provides jobs in both IT and core fields. This course helps us in robotics. Our college should provide a practical-based curriculum. It does not conduct fest.

Absolutely satisfied since it is a good college.
Placements: 40% of students were placed in multiple companies. The highest package was 10 LPA. The lowest was 3 LPA. 90% of students got internships. Also there are very supportive staff for placements. They conduct extra classes for placement, give important notes for placement and take a mock interview. I liked the staff; everything was nice.
Infrastructure: It was nice to upgrade the bathroom or toilets. Wi-Fi is nice. The facilities are nice. Medical support is available 24 hours a day. You need to change the doors of some rooms; some doors are broken, and you should upgrade and keep the hostel clean. Staff is good but don't work properly .
Faculty: Every teacher has a good qualification but need some more experience of teaching. They need to upgrade the syllabus; this syllabus is now old and needs to be upgraded. We need to teach today's skills, understand that they will help in the future for a better future and the pass percentage is 95 percent.
