Q:   What is the effectiveness of the placement cell for B.Sc. programs at Guru Nanak Khalsa College of Arts, Science and Commerce?

A:
{Source: B.Sc. students & alumni}

Effectiveness of Placement Cell for B.Sc. Programs at Guru Nanak Khalsa College of Arts, Science and Commerce

Unfortunately, based on the student reviews and feedback, it appears that the college does not have a dedicated placement cell specifically for B.Sc. programs. According to some students, the college shares information about off-campus interviews with students, and teachers may offer guidance and assistance during the application process. However, there is no mention of any formal placement services or initiatives targeted towards B.Sc. students.

Here's a summary of the relevant statements:

* "We have a very good placement cell." (Note: This statement refers to the entire college, not just B.Sc. programs)
* ".many companies visit here for hiring freshers."
* "A lot of competitive jobs are offered here. teachers are supportive for this."
* "Our college does not have any campus placements cell."

While the college seems to have a good reputation and offers various facilities, it appears that the placement scene for B.Sc. students might be limited. Students seeking employment after completing their B.Sc. programme may need to rely on self-initiative and external resources to find suitable job opportunities.

Very nice faculty. Nice facilities for research to boost your career.
Placements: IVs have been organized every year. I'm not very sure about the placement, but many students have secured placements in industrial companies through our teachers' references. Senior faculty helps the most in getting referrals. Most students qualify for NET, SET, or PET and get into teaching positions in senior colleges.
Infrastructure: The library is quite nice. You can access past semester papers. As far as the canteen goes, the food is palatable and affordable too. Classrooms have an old-school aura. For sports, selection takes place every year. Moreover, the coaches train you to get into championships as well.
Faculty: All the teachers are PhD holders, very highly educated, and cooperative. They push us to apply for many exams and notify us about vacancies in the industrial area as well. The T.Y semester exams are indeed hard but not difficult. To ease this, teachers take mock or weekly tests to help us prepare.
Other: I wanted to pursue a life in academia. I heard that they have a funded research department called GNIRD and enrolled. They also post notices for scholarships that girl students can apply for. There are a lot of extracurricular activities to be part of, which can take the form of credit courses.

Good college, but absolutely dissatisfied with the faculty.
Placements: The number of students getting placed is quite good in my college. The highest package offered last year was 7L per year in my course. Companies like LNC, etc., recruit here. Nearly 60 percent of students got internships last year, but I’m not sure about the exact proportion.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is good, and the interior architecture is very well built. The labs are well-organized and air-conditioned. The library is vast with a wide range of books. I haven’t been to the hostel as I live nearby, so I’m not aware of its conditions.
Faculty: The teaching staff is sometimes too arrogant and rude, and the same goes for the faculty. They do help and guide you, but their tone is usually rude. The pass percentage is 40%, and the exams are well-organized. There are two semester exams and two internal exams, including practicals.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted to pursue a career in the technology field. The only improvement needed is in the teaching methods, as well as the structure and lighting of the classrooms.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of faculty.
Placements: There were atleast 60 students in my batch and the education is expensive. Only 4 percent of the students got internship and Infosys hire. The coming years are only going to support ai and computer knowledge so I d preferred the coming generation to cope up with B.Sc. or BCA in order to understand the actual working and serve country digitally .
Infrastructure: Food was average but all halls and rooms were kept clean Nice facilities MET awesome people there and teachers were understanding too only the education factor effect a student life most overall it was quite a ravished college experience The coming years are only going to support ai and computer knowledge so I d preferred the coming generation to cope up with B.Sc. or BCA in order to understand the actual working and serve country digitally .
Faculty: Teachers give academic pressure and to be in the line you have to give top notch performance throughout year exams status is kept quite tough for others to crack. There were atleast 60 students in my batch and the education is expensive. Only 4 percent of the students got internship and Infosys hire. The coming years are only going to support ai and computer knowledge so I d preferred the coming generation to cope up with B.Sc. or BCA in order to understand the actual working and serve country digitally .

It has a well-curated syllabus and knowledgeable professors.
Placements: There are around 50 students in B.Sc. Microbiology, which is higher compared to previous years. Since the college has a research center, students can inquire about internships or co-work projects relating to their fields.
Infrastructure: Libraries are quite noisy during peak times in the girls' section since there is no supervisor. However, the boys' section is quite peaceful. The canteen has been closed until now. There is a gym which has good equipment and also a ground where all students can play.
Faculty: The teaching quality is very good since they are very practical and student-friendly. They are helpful. The exams were not very difficult this time since they were MCQ-based, but the microbiology questions were in-depth and practical based on critical thinking. The course curriculum covers all the important aspects.
