Placements: While taking admission, it was mentioned that every year internships will be provided, but mostly it was some paid webinar for credit points per semester. These 2 years it has been online college so no opportunities have been provided or offered through the college. It depends on us to find internships.
Placements: The highest package offered this year is 32 LPA. I don't know about the companies that come here. Out of 90 students, more than 50% of students got placed in our department with an average salary package of 4 LPA. The placement process is easy.
Placements: The microbiology department doesn't give placements. So if you are looking for placements after completion of the course, this is not the right college for you. There are many colleges which give placement opportunities, and those colleges are under Mumbai University and in Mumbai.
Placements: The majority of the students got placed in our college. The highest salary package offered is around 5 LPA, and the average salary package offered is around 1.9 LPA. Top recruitment companies are Dr. Reddy's, ICICI and many others. The number of students who got an internship is pretty good as our college has NCBI, which is good for students to learn more about biotech.
Placements: I have done my specialisation in Bioinformatics. No placement were provided in our course. Many have been working as intern in pharmaceutical companies, some as lecturer and some in research field. Cipa, Genpack, etc. Are the company where students have been placed for internships.
Placements: The placements in the college after B.Sc are very rare. Although, the college is quick to incorporate students with good aptitude towards teaching as assistant professors, that is, after their respective master's degree. Industrial opportunities are plenty for chemistry students, as the faculty members are in good graces with a lot of top people in the industry.
Placements: Department of biotechnology officially doesn't provide placements as most of the students go for the masters, but, if students are interested in jobs or in internships, HOD madam will definitely help in getting you somewhere placed as she has contacts with most of the companies. Also, most of the alumni from the biotechnology department are entrepreneurs and will definitely hire you for the job or an internship in their organisation.
G.N Khalsa is a nice college only because I saved my travelling time on it. There is a lot of corruption in this college. Right from the professors and even the principal, all are health-corrupted champions. You will be graded below your calibre always and you will never learn out of the book. Poor management here is also the core problem. The good thing is that the culture is good of the college. Overall, don’t join the college until this is the last option left.
Placements: B.Com. (Hons.) provides average placements. 3–4 lacs are for freshmen packages. It's also dependent on your hard work. From professors to classmates, each interaction left a lasting impact on my personal and professional development. College was a time of personal discovery.
Placements: We had a batch of a maximum of 30 students. Our college did not offer placements. However, the institute provided us with a fair idea about companies through workshops. The institute offered us opportunities in the teaching field as well, where we could apply to teach our major subject. The salary package was not discussed as, during my tenure, the course was still new to India.
